As weird as it sounds this review is and is not what I imagined I would be writing. Prior to realizing the restaurant was attached to a hotel & not just to any hotel, but to an aLoft, I thought based on prior reviews I would be in for a treat, but after realizing it was attached to the aLoft my expectations were lowered. It was also Mother's Day brunch which I believe may have played a role in the overall experience too given the number of tables they were turning over, but with serving just a buffet and being what seemed like properly staffed I expected better. The food - horrible! I mean the warming dishes weren't even ignited and for the ones that weren't empty, the remaining scraps of food were overcooked, cold and beyond bland. Honestly better tasting food at a Chinese buffet. The "raw bar" was the best thing available - and that's only because they had nice sized shrimp but were out of whatever items were also supposed to be a part of it. My Bloody Mary was atrocious! Tomato juice and tobacco was basically what it was. Our server John was really nice and energetic and doing the best he could - everything he could control was controlled so he deserves more than the 2 stars this review is receiving. Oh and the best part, this was $75 per person and not including a single mimosa. But they did give all the women a single stem rose when the check was requested tho lol.

Dined here on a recent visit to New Jersey. Nice restaurant attached to a hotel in Mount Laurel Township. We called in for a the wait, a few minutes before we arrived. Our party of 5 was seated shortly. The ambiance was upscale. Full bar, nice decor and great wait staff. We ordered the Mediterranean Board for appitizers and it was nice. Also had a Center cut Filet. I had ordered to be cooked pink all the way with a hot center, bit it came out a bit overcooked than I wanted. All the same it tasted great. The asparagus went great with the stake and the brussel sprouts were very flavorful. Definitely a visit again the next time I am in the area

Lovely restaurant. Had a business dinner with 9 people in a private room. Waitress was excellent. Drinks were refilled and she ensured food was delivered promptly and accurately. Great selection of appetizers! Loved the honey cauliflower. All entrees were fantastic. I had the flaming key lime pie for dessert and loved it n

When I walked in this place was busy!! Lots of people at the huge bar but I was able to grab a seat. A dip was setting up in the corner as apparently they offered live music on Fridays nights. The bar tender took my order but did not come off as friendly at all. I ordered the Cajun chicken sandwich with fries. The fries looked like it was from the bottom of the fryer. Just left over. I did ask for fresh fries.which eventually was brought to me. The chicken sandwich was good, but honestly for the money they charge, the food should be much better.

This place is phenomenal! It started with Aiden the Valet, who made the first impression this was going to be a special experience with a warm welcoming smile. After we were seated, Glenn our server took care of us making sure drinks were perfect and food came out quick without rushing us. He set the perfect tempo for our fine dining experience. The food was all awesome! Rarely do I see a steakhouse get fish and chicken right. This is one of those places. I got the 12 oz filet, which was cooked Medium Rare. I got the Béarnaise Sauce, but didn't need it because the steak tasted great on its own. Over all, it was an excellent meal. There was a live band that played all the funky tunes from the 70's and 80's that was great but was a little too loud for me. Don't forget to leave room for dessert!

Swung by this restaurant for the second time and enjoyed a good meal! My first time dining here I ordered the Center Cut Filet, but unfortunately found it to be a bit too undercooked for my liking and was not the biggest fan of the Roasted Mushrooms (gave a slightly canned vibe). But this time around I ordered the Seared New Bedford Scallops and it was divine - absolutely recommend! Loved the flavors and textures of the sauces with the pan seared scallops, and potatoes - and also enjoyed the free bread that came with the meal! Service is always great here - staff are friendly and attentive.

Let me preface my review by saying this is not a typical $12-$15 dinner plate per person as the food here is on the higher end and quite exquisite. The Executive Chef was on Hells Kitchen in season 16 I believe. They did not win, but they went on to run successful restaurants. I was fortunate that a very senior leader with the company I work for was paying for our meal as I can't imagine how much it cost when we ordered close to 6 appetizers on top of the drinks and the meals. I went a bit conservative and went with their wagyu burger which was cooked to perfection. It came with some truffle fries, but the highlight of my dinner was the crispy bang bang calamari. Those were some of the most tender calamari I have ever had and the spice level was perfect. I nearly at an entire plate myself as I kept going back for more and more even after I told myself I should keep some room for my dinner. There was not one plate left with food one it when the 12 of us finished. Some may have taken small bites home with them, but food was incredible and the price absolutely meets the quality and quantity you would expect from a high-end steak house. I would highly recommend this place as a special occasion type restaurant as your tab can quickly make it to $100 between drinks and appetizers alone, but everything was great and the staff was very friendly and accommodating with any special requests.

    BRAISED SHORT RIB RAVIOLI
    Cameron B.

Incredible food at Monterey Grill! We started with the Deviled Eggs 7/10, Local Burrata 7/10, and the Stuffed Meatball 6/10. For my main entree I got the Braised Short rib Ravioli 8/10 and I really liked it. The ravioli was cooked Al dente and very flavorful. Finally, on to my favorite part of the meal! The Bread Pudding with Bacon bits and Maple Walnut Ice Cream was absolutely incredible. Easy 10/10 for me. I would go back just for that. I would have taken a picture but it was gone before I had a chance to capture it haha

One of my favorite places to come whether it may be for a quick bite, brunch or dinner. This place always meets the vibe check and the staff make you feel at home. Met here for brunch this time, my steak and eggs were really good. My friends got the Belgium waffle and Eggs Benny. Throw in a few cocktails and we were enjoying the live band. Will definitely be coming back to visit the Monterey family

Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes- Made my top 3

I wish I had gone to Monterey Grill sooner. What started as an accidental double-appetizer ordered situation due to a misunderstanding quickly turned out meant to be. Once both apps hit the table, there was absolutely no sending anything back. The tuna & salmon poke nachos were filling and abundant with fresh fish. Definitely ask for extra soy glaze and spicy mayo - the added drizzle takes them to another level. I usually don't order calamari without a classic red sauce, but this one came with a garlic glaze that surprised me. It didn't taste garlicky in the traditional sense. Instead, it had a nutty and sweet teriyaki-style flavor that was unbelievably good. I genuinely couldn't decide which appetizer I liked more. Another memorable feature was the delicious complimentary walnut raisin bread. The only thing that didn't earn a 10/10 score was the espresso martini. It tasted a bit watered down and lacked that bold espresso kick and let's be honest, the buzz you hope for. Not terrible, just underwhelming compared to how outstanding everything else was. The entrees were omg. The jumbo lump crab cakes were packed with huge chunks of real fresh crab. Whatever magical ingredient they used to bind it together was phenomenal. The crab cake itself was so good it didn't even need a sauce but it elevated it even more, adding the cherry on top of an already ideal crab cake. And the steak? Absolute perfection. A gigantic medium rare with a perfect flavorful sear. Tender, juicy, and seasoned just right. The chef truly knows what he's doing back there. Every dish (minus the martini) felt intentional, high-quality, and memorable. I thought this place would be stuffy, but the live music makes the restaurant lively and entertaining. Do expect a little more than average wait for your food bc you can tell it's all freshly crafted. Just take all my money because I cannot wait to go back.

A pleasant surprise in Mt. Laurel as this restaurant is very nice. Clean, new, and stylish space with a good bar. Service was excellent and it wasn't crowded for a Sunday night. Manager and chef each checked in to ask how I was finding the food. Love a good aviation and there's was spot on. Other good cocktails on the menu. The burrata was excellent and reportedly sourced from local Amish farmers. Scallops were also great. Good sear and accompanied with nice potatoes and olive oil. A definite repeat for sure.

For the main dish, this time I ordered the 20oz bone in ribeye, which was excellent. The only complaint I'd have was that the broccoli was a bit off and I had to leave them on the dish. The mashed potatoes were very good. The "steak sauce" wasn't needed and taste-wise it probably won't be for everyone anyway. Located in the Moorestown Mall, you don't need to go into the mall as Yard House has its own entrance. There is plenty of parking in the lots. The happy hour menu was also pretty limited, with only small dishes offered. My breakfast-style burger came with a fried egg on it, which really defeats the purpose of having an egg on a sandwich. Most people expect that gooey yolk to flow when you bite in, and this didn't deliver that at all. The burger itself wasn't anything to rave about, even with Cooper Sharp cheese on it. My wife's pasta wasn't very good either and felt thrown together. The fries were the standout, tasting like fresh-cut potatoes and cooked well. Overall, Redz has a nice-looking space and a solid bar setup, but between the dark lighting, high prices, and hit-or-miss food, we probably won't be back.

A little something for everyone. I got the spring mix salad which looks like they dumped an entire bag of salad in a bowl. You can't see it but there are chopped tomatoes that are in the center instead of being mixed in. Then I got the chicken parm which was huge. It was a half pound of pasta with a giant chicken breast. It was decent, not amazing, but super filling and definitely worth the money. So for in a hotel, Redz is a good place. But the prices are just too high. And with Millers literally down the street, go there for the drinks instead.

My boyfriend and I sat in the bar area for a quick lunch on Friday. It was busy but not overly so. I got a drink that was decent. The service was also good but that's where the positives end. For a starter we tried the Hamachi Crudo. What came to the table was far from acceptable. Large hunks of tuna, some pieces with the white part of the skin still attached. It just looked botched. Bloodline and different sized pieces. You couldn't chew the white part so we had to cut it off. Then when we tried to eat it, it was full of pin bones. We picked out 4 pieces with bone. No real sauce on the plate. No flavor other than the chilis that were placed on top. One of the worst things I've ever been served. When our entrees came out first off, the French fries that we paid extra for were spare. My chicken avocado wrap tasted like nothing. It didn't have much chicken, I didn't notice any of the cheese or avocado ranch that was supposed to be on it. It was full of shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes. My BF said his turkey sandwich had no taste either and he wasn't sure it had what it said it should have on it. Very little turkey, undercooked, limp bacon and bread he said that was stale. Walking away we were just shocked. A bad course is one thing but every dish was just abysmal. You know it's bad when the people that were dining next to you grab you outside to see if your meal was as bad as theirs. I know, I should have shared by displeasure with staff but I'm so uncomfortable doing that. I don't need places to be perfect, I understand businesses have off days but this was a train off it's tracks kinda meal. I really hope Braddocks turns this around. But we will not be back.

The only good thing about dinner last night was the espresso martini flight and the service. Both…read morewere excellent. We ordered the tuna appetizer. We got something that resembled tuna. We took a bite and it was absolutely disgusting. I had to force myself to swallow the piece I had. When we told the server that we were not going to eat it (the taste and consistency were AWFUL), we were told we were given the wrong appetizer. It was the crudo, which apparently was in the tuna family? Then they brought the right appetizer. I couldn't tell you if the tuna was okay because I couldn't even eat it after the other fish almost made me sick at the table. The avocado that came with the tuna was fresh but not seasoned and had no flavor. Both myself and my dinner partner had the same reaction to the crudo. We shared the short ribs and they were just blah. Too salty and dry. The potatoes were just not good. A picture of the short ribs are below. Funny thing is we stopped coming here because we had a bad meal but lots of posts lately had food that looked good. Way too expensive for the food to be that bad. Maybe the sandwiches are better.

I needed to find a restaurant that served Sunday brunch in the Cherry Hill area as that was the…read moremidpoint between us and a few friends who were in town and Randall's was where we agreed upon as they had great reviews and reservation availability. We didn't realize that the restaurant was a part of a country club until we arrived (no where in the reviews did it mention this) but we've done brunch at other country clubs throughout Jersey and it was wonderful. Upon entering the restaurant we saw their only brunch option was for a brunch buffet and from our quick scans of the buffet walking to the hostess stand we all decided we would not be doing brunch (pastries looked like they were from Coscto, warm food looked as though it had been sitting there for a while and the omelettes coming from the omelette station didn't look spectacular so we opted to do their lunch menu instead. Service was SSSLLLLLOOOOOWWWWW! From the very beginning until the very end. It took about 15 minutes before our server arrived to greet us, then another 15 for our first round of cocktails to come out, the about a half an hour for us to be told that they were out of 1 of the 3 appetizers we ordered ... so no lie, after being there a full hour we finally received 2 of the 3 appetizers and were then just able to order a second round of cocktails and our main courses. The cocktails weren't the greatest either. We thought perhaps the first round was our fault because we all tried their "blackberry espresso martini" and we knew it was a risk from the beginning ... so we ordered "safer" cocktails for round 2 and the prosecco based cocktails were even worse than the blackberry espresso martinis smh. I truly don't understand how one messes up prosecco + a splash of limoncello and cranberry (that was what was supposed to be in the cocktail) but they certainly messed it up, to the point where I didn't drink it. Our entrees finally arrived and WOMP WOMP WOMP! Overall every single one was MID at best ... and all I had was French onion soup and a wedge salad .... like how is it possible for those to be BLAH? Food was so MEH we didn't even take pics lol. Needless to say we all agreed we wouldn't be back and wished we had decided on what was our 2nd option for brunch instead.

There's two dining areas that can be chosen with one having a bar that can seat 10+ people. Started with a couple of great drinks and their french onion soup. The soup was topped with a cheese layer and pieces of crostinis within the soup. Great for a snowy day. The california chicken wrap was a big meal especially with the flaky french fries on the side. The sandwich needed more chipotle mayo on the side which was great for the fries. My medium rare wagyu burger with the bacon jam was HUGE! The jam did taste like beef jerky which was a new experience. We will definitely be back to try some of their other menu items.
