Did not refill coolant!! I brought my bike from 2 hours away for a regular service. Asked to flush and replace coolant and brake fluid. Their is no coolant visible in the reservoir. Luckily I towed it home or I might not have made it! Very disappointed for having paid $600 for them to do a general inspection and change of fluids. Billed me 2 hours labor plus parts ($235!!) to change coolant and brake fluid!!! Poor quality of work at a premium!! Didn't even receive a copy of the 60 point inspection checklist, not sure if that was done. When checking out I was also told that they tested my battery and that it only reported 400cca and may need to be replaced soon as they like to see the batteries between 800 and 1000 CCA!!! (more than my truck battery!). Now that I am home I have looked at the battery to find it is only rated at 230 CCA new. I scheduled this appointment months in advance to be ready for my trip next week. I could have and should have done better myself. Decided to pay a "professional" for peace of mind. Mark's Motorsports is a small dealership located right on the Connecticut, Massachusetts's line. The brands they carry are Aprilla, Royal Enfield and Can-Am. I am thinking they may actually believe their tag-line, but their motto is kind of funny. "We specialize in Motorcycles, ATVs, Dirt Bikes, Personal Watercraft, Scooters, Mopeds, Snowmobiles, Side by Side Vehicles, and Trailers." OK - so you don't specialize, you do a little bit of everything. A motorcycle general store. That sums this place up. They have a good supply of vintage moped parts and the do represent the brands I listed, but the entire showroom is maybe 1500 square feet. It is crammed with Quads, Motorcycles, gear and clothing. Clean and well presented. They may be small, but they are well stocked and there are plenty of brand new bikes still in crates outside. I was particularly interested in looking at the Royal Enfield line up. This is an interesting line of motorcycles. The manufacturing rights were sold off and the formerly British bike is now Indian made. The manufacturing process hails back to a less automated time and if you look at the bikes they look distinctively retro. The quality of some the welding and machining leaves something to be desired, these are half the price of a comparable Triumph. Well organized with actual owner on premises willing to spend time with customers to help facilitate financing etc. I was an out of state buyer on a time constraint and my new Royal Enfield Himalayan was prepped and ready for me, I was greeted and helped unload my trade and was treated well with no BS, they held up their end of the deal as far as my trade-in with a smile, paperwork was clear with no uncertain twists, low pressure atmosphere and helped me get my new bike loaded and off to the New London ferry. Wish I could give this place zero stars. Mark's Motorsports gave me a killer deal, but then catastrophically f'd my bike up... omitting a spacer on a wheel swap, causing the back wheel to seize at 50 miles... then didn't replace the brake assembly so the brake line clotted and the rear brake failed at 1000 miles. Failed to make a good faith effort to make it right, and to incentivize me to continue further business. Found out from corporate that he wrote it off as a "warranty issue." I was told by the rep handling my claim that this was not an isolated incident, and that their service department has a reputation for shit like this. RIVERSIDE MOTORSPORTS to the rescue! 7K and haven't had a problem since :) ----- [10/29/14] Mark's Motorsports will attentively and enthusiastically sell you a motorcycle, but anticipate hearing crickets if something goes awry. A small mistake made in their service department on my new motorcycle caused extensive damage, which could have been fatal. Repairs took an inordinately long time (almost two weeks) and the proprietor (Mark Bujak) has yet to respond to my email or request to speak via phone, let alone make a good faith gesture to support continued business or the propagation of a positive referral to my vast motorcycling network. Chandler, the Manager of the Service Dept, is a standup fella, but I should have heeded to the horror stories and consumer reviews of their service record. Service department WAY over quoted me on a job that Old School Harley did for FREE in 15 minutes! (And I don't even own a Harley!) Sean in service admitted he's 'still getting familiar' with the types of bikes they service and treated me like crap after I told him I was hesitant to come back in the future. I would NEVER let these guys touch my bike, even though they're over 1 hour closer to home. Libby's in New Haven and Street Stuff in Norwich are much more knowledgeable and treat you like family. Nobody could resolve the issue with my Bonnie, so on a whim I called Marks because they were far from me, but a certified triumph dealer. Racist, horrible, rude dishonest. Took my 1k deposit and because I decided not to purchase with them after 8 days of waiting for them, was never told about rebate when decided to go to local bike shop my Ryker came on truck and was ready in 24 hrs. They tried keeping my deposit which I just received and was waiting to receive before I wrote this review had I not received my money things would of gotten bad. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY TO HOLD ANYTHING THEY ARE CROOKS TOOK ME 5 months to get my money refunded. Mind you they were doing all this durning the best time their business had ever had Covid amped there sales and they still are greedy crooks. Lady is nasty and rude as well. 100% American owned dealership (sad) deceptive, incompetent, and rude. I purchased a 2014 trade in for $1,200 over book value. When I asked to see a work order, they said they'd mail it to me. Two months later I picked up the bike and asked again for a work order. They said that it was their business and did not produce the paperwork. I got a new front tire, maybe an oil change? I don't know! Connecticut State Law, Chapter 246 Section 14-65H requires in writing a work order and or work history of any repairs done. Save yourself the run around and buy or trailer your motorcycle to a different dealership. Be aware. read more

I had my Honda Magna serviced at Mark's Motorsports to have the coolant flushed and replaced, have a crankcase vent hose leak repaired and have the bike (50 point) inspected for other potential repairs or adjustments. Their assumption was that the oil level was too high causing oil to fill the crankcase vent hose and the solution was to lower the oil level. The oil level was correct however and their solution was wrong. When service was complete and I picked the bike up, there looked to be gas that was spilled on the tank and cleaned with a greasy rag. I checked the oil the way it's supposed to be checked (according to the owner's manual) and it was a half quart too low. Once I explained how to check the oil level, they added more. They replaced a section of fuel line from the gas tank (they claimed it was dried out) with a piece that was too short and they did not put clamps on. A couple of days later, I rode it about 50 miles without any problems. However, a couple of days later, without having ridden or moving it, all the gas in the tank leaked out. I checked the fuel line they put in and it was moving freely on the end of the gas tank valve which is where the gas leaked. I added gas, and recreated the gas leak, which was worse after running the engine for a few seconds. I went back to Mark's and explained that all the gas leaked out and without seeing it, they speculated it could be caused by a stuck float in a carburetor or a rusted gas tank or line to the reserve tank (it doesn't have a separate reserve tank). I insisted on what the cause was and they offered sample pieces of fuel line for me to determine the correct size to use. I went to Valley Motorsports to get the fuel line, clamp and clips needed and made the repair. I was very fortunate the gas didn't leak on a hot engine while riding. I also found that there were other problems that Mark's either caused or didn't repair. There is a hose that is not connected, the bolt at the back of the gas tank was not in all the way and the rear tire was over inflated. Mark's Motorsports way of dealing with the problems was to do a lot of fast talking, try to place blame on the customer or age and idiosyncrasies of the bike, never admit fault and not offer to correct the problems. I won't make the mistake of dealing with Mark's Motorsports again. read more

I purchased Triumph Street Twin from Mark's March 2016. I recently brought my bike there because it wasn't shifting properly. They had my bike over 2 weeks , told me another 2 weeks for repair. They were going to disassemble tranny. I contacted Green River Motorsports in Greenfield & asked if I could've bring my bike there for repair. By this time I had zero confidence and tired of excuses from Mark's. My husband transported in our trailer. THREE days later they called-come pick up your bike and enjoy the weekend! Wasn't tranny at all, gear selector bent. Repaired under warranty. Guys there are awesome. Even though they are 50 miles further, Green River Motorsports is where I will bring my bike from now on for service & parts. read more

I highly recommend Mark's Motorsports for anyone considering a Triumph, Can-Am, Royal Enfield, or Kymco. They were EXTREMELY easy to work with - from reserving my new 2017 TriumphStreet Twin for me before it arrived, to following up with me throughout the process, to setting up the financing as promised, to walking me through the bike at delivery - the whole process was great. Holden, my salesman, was very responsive and upfront throughout the whole process. Mike, the finance manager, got me everything that I needed in a timely manner and did not push anything on me. Mark, the owner, was extremely responsive and on top of things as well! I picked up my new bike yesterday, already have 100 miles on it, and absolutely love it. Let me just say that I'm a local to this shop and I've been a customer of Mark's Motorsports since before they took on Triumph. At that time, I was so excited about having a local Triumph dealer in town since Gengras Triumph was closing it's doors. Over the years I've ordered numerous parts and had some service done. Recently I ordered some parts which they did not have in stock, so it became a special order. No problem, easy enough, or so I thought. The parts came quick as we upgraded the shipping and I was called when they arrived. I went back in a couple days to grab the parts. Several days later, I noticed they double charged me for the shipping. Okay no problem, I'll just call them to have them sort it out. They said they would get back to me when I spoke to them. Mark returned the call and left a message explaining the breakdown of charges. Apparently they didn't understand what happened, so I figured I'll just go in on Saturday and handle it. When I got there, the store had about 3 or 4 customers, including myself. I asked the shop secretary if Mark was around and she found that he was with a customer. Meanwhile, Jen is busy doing other work as I wait. I asked her if I can email the proof that I was double charged because I didn't know how long Mark would be. Jen went and asked Mark the order details then came over and asked the shop secretary to look up the order who promptly blew me off. When I tracked her down to find out what was going on 30 minutes later she said someone else will help me as she was packing up her belongings to leave for the day. So... essentially, nobody really gave a damn that they screwed up. I just took it up with my bank. They have gone down hill (in flames) since taking on Can-Am and their Triumph customers have paid for it with exceptionally poor service. Chandler and Rich are nice guys and were always helpful, but Jen is another story. I gave them every chance to rectify it and they showed me how much they really don't care. Good job Mark and Jen. You just screwed a local guy. I will never shop here again! read more
