Mediocre service- takes too too ling to get simple food orders with hardly any customers. Ordered BLT, completely un-edible the way it was prepared. Bread appeared to be just waved by the toaster. Either toast the bread or not. Looked like all the bacon left over from breakfast was thrown on the the bun, then tomato and lettuce added with more bacon thrown on top. It was all in bits 1-1/2 inches. Had to pick it apart to eat. Very dissatisfied with the quality of this $9 sandwich. I would highly discourage any one from eating here unless you have a lot of time to wait and bring your own food. read more

My wife and I visited for the first time today and were beyond impressed . Kayla was our server ( I hope I spelled correctly ) was excellent as were the appetizers , fried pickles and corn nuggets . My wife got the sautéed shrimp basket , I ordered the Pie in the Sky pizza and we shared all of the above and took enough food home for at least 2 more meals . Outstanding quality food and service . I think I am going to have to give up on Pies and Thighs. In a recent experience at take out, my chicken order seemed to have been cooked hours in advance. It was cold and overdone. The fries and black eyed peas were cold as well. I had less than 1/2 to drive back home, so,the distance had nothing to do with it. Every take out I have tried over the last year has been the same. That would cover about 5 different take out orders. One was fried shrimp, and they were so over cooked and dark brown they were barely edible. The place has really gone down. read more

Great place and great food! The staff are young, but very friendly. The wings, pizza, and the apps are all very good. Sometimes it takes a little bit longer for the food, but they are doing take-out orders and table orders at the same time. For a quick bite I definitely recommend! read more

Don't pay attention to posted hours. Tried to place an order tonight but was informed I could not because they decided to close early.

Breakfast starts early and ends late at 1:00 pm (sometimes little earlier depending on business). One of the specials this morning was a more than perfect biscuit served over cottage fries and then covered with shaved steak, rich brown gray, and topped with a fried egg. Taste was spot on and the portion just right. This dish is going on the menu at Plucked-Up Chicken and Biscuits downtown so give them a try. The wife got a bacon biscuit with a scrambled egg. I have seen glass that seemingly spontaneously explodes for no reason and this morning I saw that as my wife picked up the syrup dispenser and the glass top under the metal handle just sheared off. There was a loud "oh crap!" and as I quickly looked up I saw the syrup container hit the tale, tip over, and spill out copious amounts of syrup all over the table and my wife. I busted a gut to laugh, but I knew better so I stifled it. Her biscuit and bacon was replaced and her meal was comped in lieu of getting the blouse cleaned. Thank you Mark Jones, you really didn't have to do that. Poor Kniesha quickly got the mess cleaned up and got my wife a soapy towel to get the syrup off her. So...it is a little weird when you first walk in. There is no signs telling you to seat yourself, so you are just kind of left standing until acknowledged....and everyone seems to just stare at you. Once seated, the service was great. Our waitress was very kind, but a little forgetful. We had a pizza and chicken fingers w/fries. We enjoyed them both. Was one of the better pizzas in the area. Only a small side note- none of our phones had service. They had guest wi-fi, but we were told they do not tell the staff the password. read more

Wonderful pizza!! The bbq chicken pizza is no longer on the menu, they made it for me anyway. That was huge!! It was delicious, the chicken was really good quality chicken. The bbq sauce was perfectly sweet and tangy. We also ordered the cheese pizza, which was equally as amazing. Really fresh tasting sauce and good quality cheese. All in all, I was really impressed. I've been here once and refused to go again. We got pepperoni pizza and some cheese bread. The cheese bread had a very bad smell to it and was basically a sub with cheese melted on it. I couldn't enjoy it at all. I do like some of Mark's other restaurants tho :) read more

Try the pizza. You won't be sorry. It's my favorite pizza in the area. Also, for those nights when we get smoked from doing yard work, or at the end of a hard week, we get take-out and it's always great. Burgers are juicy, and their sides are really worth the extra price. This is not your typical strip mall restaurant. Also, I can't say enough good things about the staff. We had a minor issue with our order recently and Dakota got it sorted quickly and completely to our satisfaction. read more

We have dinner here at least once a week with a group of ten and it just keeps getting worse. There seems to have been multiple changes recently including a staff change. All the friendly waitresses we used to have are gone. The food quality has gone downhill. Multiple people in our large group always order flatbread pizzas and we were told this week that you stopped making them. We always order appetizers and recently they've been coming out with our meal not before. Also, the new honey mustard is horrible. Good selection well prepared and can be busy at lunch. The beef tips are particularly good. Everything seems to be cooked to order and there is only one waitress so you can expect to wait a bit when they are busy at lunch but it is worth the wait. read more

Ive been coming here a long time and I am never disappointed when I do. The customer service and decor are awesome. I've never had a bad time there even if I'm just hanging out with my buddies. The appetizers are great but the only ones I get are the fried green beans and the corn nuggets. They aren't too bready or greasy and they don't fill you up a lot before the food comes out. I would just make sure some eats the app with you because it is a generous portion. What caught me by surprise was the pizza. You'd never expect it to be good but the different varieties and sauces make them unique. The dough they use is always perfectly cooked. Just the right amount of crispy. The burgers are also a go to item for me. They are solid burgers with good flavor. What more could you need? Overall I have been going here for a while and I wanted to make sure I did this place justice because it is one of the best places to eat in Columbus GA. I recommend from here to Rohan! read more

Biscuit Beignets! Why go all the way to New Orleans when you can have biscuit beignets right in Cataula? Mark's is serving breakfast now on Saturdays. Our favorite servers were there bright and early this morning and recommended the beignets, served with a Bananas Foster jam. Yummy. Be sure to share with someone, so you have room for pork steak with Mark's special grits. Or you can go traditional like I did and have the two eggs, biscuit, grits, and bacon. My first time here I tried the hamburger steak and it was absolutely delicious. My second time here I tried the fried chicken tenders and they were just as good. Whatever batter is used gives the chicken a delicious taste and keeps the chicken juicy, not even close to dry. I will be back to try the pizza! read more

Pies and Thighs used to be good under different management, however under the current, it is trash. The food is never cooked properly, that is, if you even get what you ordered. Be prepared to wait an hour, to an hour and a half. The service is either great, or horrible. The kitchen is always blasting unfriendly music and conversation. The treatment of employees is ridiculous. Save your money, and find another local place to support... this business is definitely not one worth keeping around. read more

Usually like this place fine. Not tonight! The Thursday special of all you can eat shrimp is a rip off. Not much larger than popcorn shrimp that are served 7 at a time. The service was so terribly slow it took me 1 hour to get a total of 14 shrimp. Will NEVER go back on Thursday again. Young couple with 2 small children next to us waited over 10 minutes for something to drink. When we left they had been there 45 minutes and still no food. Ridiculous!!!! read more

Fried chicken was full of fish flavor transfer from the fryers. Moist though. Simple mistake on the fry stations part. Short on black eye pea portion as side dish by one ounce. This is a great place to get pizza and wings. I moved to the Columbus area several years ago and have been missing good wings. This will be the place to get ours in the future! We left one restaurant because of bad service and drove 10 miles to this one. BAD MOVE! We should have gone home! Wait staff appears to be high school cheerleaders who socialize to such an extent with their friends that regular customers like us were treated as second rate. After visits by 3 separate servers (including manager) we finally received our drinks and our order was taken. Pizza was delivered about 40 minutes later and was the soggiest crust ever. Ever since Mark Jones has no affiliation with Pies & Thighs, I've noticed little by little their customer service and presentation go down. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt multiple times and every time im reminded why I should go the extra few miles to Columbus and order dinner. 4 times my to go order has had something missing. Went here Saturday May 4. Placed my order was told it would be 20 minutes and that I could pull thru the drive thru to get my order in 20 mins. Well i ordered at 5:38pm around 5:58 i pulled up to the drive thru. They seemed confused on whether i ordered and what I ordered then told me to pull around BACK and they'd bring it. Sat around back for at least 15 minute then decided I'd pull thru the drive thru again. At that moment a lady came flagging me down with my pizza.at least the pizza was decent. I wont go there again. If i have then again itll be thru the waitr app like i did before. Seems like it has potential but reading recent reviews its not a big surprise. Had a pepperoni and sausage pizza here. The crust was good and the toppings were fine, but the pizza was way too greasy. I think it was the cheese used. Anyway, there are better choices for pizza in Columbus (Cerrone's, Mellow Mushroom, Deorio's), but I do like Mark's other places. read more
