Nice place, with the name of a Tavern I wasn't expecting the inviting experience or environment. I came here with a business group after a meeting. So we had a rather big group(10) we had multiple appetizers and I only ordered a Blackened Chicken Caesar Salad because the appetizers had filled me up. The food was good and our waiter was very friendly and attentive. I will return if I'm in the area again

This was the fish that was in my tacos. About the size of your thumb for each taco.

I've been going here since Marlows has been here... and have loved it. One of my favorites. BUT in the last few months things have changed for the bad and I'm hoping someone important will see this so they can make a change. Portion sizes on the meat have gone down to half of what they used to serve you. Wait time to get your food while in the restaurant almost always takes an hr. And even when we order food to-go it's almost an hr wait also... so tonight I waited almost to the hour mark for my to-go food, then get home and literally there was no fish in my tacos lol. And then as I'm eating my salad there's a curled up black hair... definitely not my hair. Adding pictures of my fishless tacos and hair in my food.

Five stars! The drinks were both soo good and the portion sizes on the shrimp and crab nachos were worth the money. The service was also fast and accurate even though they were slammed. It's definitely got a tavern vibe, there's an indoor/outdoor bar with a patio and booths inside if you'd prefer the air conditioning. I'll be back for sure.

Pretty disappointed in my meal tonight that I ordered through Door Dash from Marlow's in Woodstock. I ordered the Tavern Burger and it clearly says in the main order menu that the Tavern Burger includes Romaine, Red Onion, Roma Tomato. Tomato Bacon Jam, Sesame Brioche Roll. When the order arrived there was no Tomato Bacon Jam on the burger at all so this ruined my meal as it just doesn't taste the same without it. Their doordash menu (attached) makes it clear that it is a standard included item. They also have it listed in add-ons section along with cheese but that is to be checked in the add-ons section only if you want addl tomato bacon jam.. Because they left out a key main standard included ingredient that gives this burger its distinctive flavor I give them a 1 star rating

Great food and like the patio at this location. They have buffet open as well. Located close to the outlet at woodstock.

The service is top notch it was our first time there and they explained the menu really well. And wanted our first time there to be special. Stephanie was our outstanding waitress and the manager was also great!! We will definitely be back

B&B got their hooks in us! Husband was craving a burger, I wasn't really wanting anything specific; we just didn't want to go major chain. Keep them dollars local, y'know? Help a real person. Anyhoo, I did a quick search and asked if he wanted to try B&B again. Thank goodness he agreed, y'all. My only gripe with B&B is their parking lot. It rivals Trader Joe's for impracticality. So take your compact car! They had the corn hole stowed but heaters were blazing and there were people dining on the patio when we walked in. Better ye than me, folks! We were seated immediately and then we met our delightful server... Early server spotlight for Owen. Such nice energy for a gloomy Wednesday evening, really upbeat without being annoying, the perfect level of attentive. Go when he's there and reward his awesomeness as well! Okay, I decided this afternoon that I wanted a li'l blue plate special for dinner. And Husband wanted a burger. He got a spicy smash burger, the actual name escapes me. Spicy & smashed, she was! There was a good amount of heat from the pickled jalapeños so he took a few off. His recommendation is that they go for a smattering of the diced variety instead. (I've created a monster!!!) He was also very happy with his battered fries. Unless I'm misremembering, they remind me of A&W fries; not as seasoned or as battered as Checkers, but so good. What did I get? You're sweet to ask! I did three sides: garlic green beans, fried Brussels and fried okra. Yes, yes, and yes. They are so wild, I think all three were fresh! Can you even?! You know exactly what I'm talking about when I say frozen fried okra has a taste. If this was frozen ever, they need to patent that technology. The garlic green beans were giving Chinese food but better. Really balanced seasoning, good crispness, flavor. Green, if you can imagine! And the Brussels sprouts... With bacon and sauce... Those leftovers will hate to see me coming. "Leftovers?" I sense you ask incredulously. Yes. Because while perusing the menu online, I saw a nice, big picture of their Butter Toffee Cake. And I was instantly imbued with the knowledge that this cake would heal all my past traumas, pay off my student loans, and give me winning lottery numbers. Only time will tell on all counts. But if you order one thing at that restaurant, I demand it be that cake. The person handling those cakes went to the Hogwarts' Academy of Culinary Wizardry. I can hardly describe it and I have no idea what flavor ice cream is on top except it's the best one. If you like food, but especially butterscotch, or not - you need this cake. I blacked out after that and woke up here on Yelp, so... Please go try that cake.

The atmosphere has that rare "Cheers" vibe where everyone seems to know each other, but somehow they make you feel like a regular even if it's your first visit. What really sets this place apart is the service. The staff genuinely cares about the customers, not in a forced corporate way, but in a real, personal way that you don't see very often anymore. You can tell there is a lot of pride in what they do, and it shows in every interaction. The food is just as impressive. Everything we ordered was packed with flavor, tasted homemade, and the portions were more than fair. It is the kind of place where you leave full, happy, and already thinking about what you want to try next time. Add in the fun crowd, relaxed energy, and the feeling that you are part of the community while you are there, and this place becomes more than just a bar or restaurant. It feels like a local tradition. We will definitely be back, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for great food, great people, and a place that actually feels alive.

With a heavy mound of onions and mushrooms on top, the grits ended up feeling dry and pulled all the moisture out of the bite. The flavor itself was fine, just lacking moisture and balance. We also ordered the scallops and risotto. The risotto was the standout. Bright, fresh finish, great texture, and not overpowering. The scallops, unfortunately, were the opposite. They had a noticeably strong smell right away, which usually means they're not as fresh as they should be, especially at a $40 price point. We took them home, but every time we opened the fridge the smell hit us, so they ultimately went in the trash. Despite this particular experience, we've always enjoyed this place. Service is consistently great, drinks are solid, and we usually leave happy. Hoping this was just an off evening, because we genuinely like coming here. Adding an additional * for the great service and because we haven't had a bad experience otherwise.

I'm not sure if our waiter was new but he just wasn't on top of it. We never got checked on once we received our food and it took FOREVER to get our checks. He said he couldn't find the little books the checks go in, but that was really not necessary especially since we told him we were in a hurry. We wanted to put two checks on one card for the birthday girl and that confused the heck out of him. It's also a pet peeve of mine when dirty dishes aren't cleared from the table. Two people ordered the fish tacos. They said they were decent, but a little bland. One said her tortillas were way over-charred. Two ordered the salmon blt. One asked for the bacon on the side and they both came that way, which is not a problem just kind of weird. They said the sandwich was good but not wow. They subbed asparagus for their side and it was served very cold. One order the Caesar salad for her meal and it was tiny! When the waiter finally came with our checks it turned out that he put it in as a side salad not an entree. If you thought all someone ordered was a side salad, wouldn't you double check that? She was so hungry after and since he never checked on us we had no one to ask. Two of us ordered the crab risotto. It was pretty yummy but a little one note. There was a ton of parmesan on top and a decent amount of asparagus and corn. It was hard to tell how much crab was really in it since it blended in with the risotto (and for the cost I assumed there wouldn't be much crab). Super random but the water in the women's restroom was SCALDING, like shockingly hot!!

No one in town charges more for a beer than this place. For example, I enjoy local IPAs and Creature Comforts (Athens) is everywhere. I can go to several other stops in town and pay less for a 16 oz can or pour of this beer. Compared to another decent stop down the street, three roses is almost 30% more. My wife says one of the wines she likes is a little less than other stops, so that's good. But other drink prices tend to be on the high side as well, but most in town have higher liquor prices. That adds up if you like to frequent a place. Hence, we stopped frequenting. Overall, I like the decor and as noted, the food is decent. The upstairs is better than the downstairs but I'm glad they have the downstairs for some occasion when they could get busy. As for the Tavern / entertainment element, I've never seen any live music but they have several TVs. Not sure this would be my top choice to watch a game but it would work in a pinch if the other places were too busy or noisy.

I sat on the main level which had mostly booths (for 4 & 2 persons), half booths, bar seats, and a few tables. The interior was classy, but the ambiance was not. The mood was ruined by whiny acoustic music, probably picked by the staff and not for the customers. I can normally tune it out, but the uncharacteristic F*bombs coming from the speakers were a mood killer. And while waiting for my meal I heard the following exchange from the kitchen: "Your late!" "Are you going to fire me? Please send me home!" The hostile attitudes in the kitchen was unfortunately reflected in the meal. I ordered the fish and chips, and the fries were nicely cooked. The crust on the fish also looked good. But the fish inside was watery and unpleasant. It was also topped with a mass of cilantro sprigs, which did not pair with the flavors. I managed to scrape them all off. The fish was served with vinegar, ketchup, and (missing) tartar sauce. The friendly and attentive waitress was quick to correct the missing sauce, although it did take awhile. My meal also came with a side of slaw that would have been outstanding if the kitchen hadn't made a misstep of loading it with too much salt. The other seasonings in the slaw were excellent and unique and the addition of red onions was great, but sadly ruined by the saltiness. At the end of my meal I visited their modern and stylish restrooms. I'd arrived just after 5PM and on this weekday there were only a few patrons. So the stylish furnishing of the restroom were marred by the mess I encountered in there. Based on the number of employees compared to patrons, there wasn't an excuse for not cleaning that bathroom. I've seen truckstop restrooms that weren't that nasty.
