pool sticks
Ashlan R.

My friends and family like coming here, especially for the pool tables, BUT we can't play pool with these broken sticks. Paid $10 for an hour to use broken pool sticks. Hopefully these get fixed soon because we're always spending money on food and drinks while we play pool!

Came here with my girl for Thursday Night Football and the energy was on point this spot definitely knows how to host a game night. TVs everywhere, people cheering for their teams, pool tables going ....it's got that laid back, local sports bar vibe down. Started things off with Cadillac Margaritas, and they poured heavy in a good way no complaints here. For apps, we went with the Buffalo Wings always a solid choice here big wings and well sauced. For mains, we split the Fish & Chips and the Jumbo Hot Dog. The fish & chips were unfortunately a huge miss. The breading was thick, soggy, and pretty flavorless, and the fish itself didn't have much going on either. The saving grace was our server she noticed we weren't into it and took it off the bill without us even asking, which was genuinely appreciated. On the flip side, the Jumbo Hot Dog totally redeemed things it hand great flavor and I'd 100% order it again. This was my second time here (first was Monday Night Football), and the verdict's the same.....Marni's nails the game day atmosphere and bar staples like wings, burgers, and dogs. Just don't get too adventurous with the menu stick to what they do best and you'll have a good time.

Fun atmosphere and delicious drinks!! Went there with my husband colleagues and had a blast. There was a band playing and also wilson had a reunion going on. The staff were friendly and they made sure we were taken care of.. Recommended.

OK you would never believe how amazing the burgers & fries are here on Thursday Burger Bash the price is WOW ! We love to get two cheeseburgers and fat fries, our waitress knows us and already has our order in when we walk in. The burger is seriously like the best home cooked BBQ burger, juicy juicy juicy.

We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday last Friday with an 80s theme. Real Deal band played that night and it was perfect! Food and drinks came out quick and Lizzy made sure I was never thirsty She was on top of things given we were a big crowd! Truly amazing customer service! 5 stars to Marni's... Real Deal and Lizzy!!!!

Once again. A party at Marni' Sundays Fundays! Best time with Ari & Kiira!!! Sexy and Single. Crazy!

Nobody liked the food

Nice venue. the staff worked their butts off. All staff members seemed to be working off of 1 POS system. The drinks were good but No refills. It's hard to mess up Whiskey on the rocks! The food was over priced and terrible, frozen and deep fried. They have so many items on their menu, it's no wonder they can't get one meal right out to the tables. I had to catch the waitress to check on my food. It took over an hour to get it once ordered! I observed more food being dumped into the trash then consumed. I asked several customers about the pizza and got thumbs down on that menu choice. They charge a premium price, $16.95 for a chicken sandwich with fries. Two chicken strips over cooked on a bun with lettuce and tomato. Grissle in the tenders, un-eatable. A 40' bar with one bartender who not only made drinks but had to serve them as well. A good manager would not let a place like this open in the condition it was in! "IT'S A DIVE BAR" Save your money!

Looking for a quick lunch spot during our break from tournaments we found Marni's, to be a refuge for some comfort food. Nice space for larger groups, table, booth or bar seating available. We were welcomed and walked right to a lopsided open table. Our selections of sliders, salads and cheese curds made for a crowd pleaser. Though the water refills needed to keep up with our thirst, the pitcher was then left for our table. It may be worth it to invest in some new water pitchers. This clear pitcher had discoloration. Maybe from iced tea? Our thirst continued. Customers not drinking water did have more frequented visits of service with the same amount of people in their party. For us it was a little lacking at our table of five. Still gave it a four as the food made up for it. I would visit again, hoping for a better experience next time around. Lots of free parking available for diners with surrounding shops and eateries. Within walking distance to take a stroll and discover new finds.

Burger w/cheese, avocado & sauce. Espresso Martini -- both are delicious! Anddd good fries :)

Food - Very Good Service - Excellent Ambiance - Lively, loud but ok. We went on Wednesday 11/8 around 6:30pm. If you are looking for a quiet romantic spot this is not that place. If you want to go somewhere with locals having fun with karaoke this is the place. The staff was very nice & attentive. We ordered burgers and espresso martinis.. both were excellent! The fries and pickles also good :)

This isn't a place I would've tried on my own but came here to meet up with couple of coworkers…read more The food is typical diner style food, but wasn't too bad. I think the breakfast items might be better than the lunch/dinner items. Please note that breakfast items are only served until 11:45 a.m. On my first visit I tried Top Sirloin Steak & Eggs. I ordered it medium rare and was cooked perfectly. Steak was seasoned well and was quite tasty. I had a good first visit with my coworkers so came back again this weekend to try some of lunch items. The lunch items my family and I ordered weren't as good as I expected. Beach House Burger was just ok. It could've used more seasoning on the beef patty because it tasted rather bland. Burger had arugula, tomato, red onions, cheddar cheese, and some house sauce. Fish & Chips was good but tasted pretty standard. Skillet Corn Bread tasted ok but too dry, even with whipped butter and honey. Service has been good both times I was here, and the location is great because it's right by the beach. Patio area always seems to get packed because everyone wants to get a view of the beach, but you can still get a decent view from the inside. I will definitely return but will stick with breakfast items in the future. There is a paid parking lot right by the restaurant, which is currently $3 per hour, but you can find street parking in the nearby residential area. Just make sure you pay attention to parking signs. Most of them have 1 hour limit, which isn't long enough to dine here.

It was a beautiful warm Spring day (73 degrees) and we were excited to eat with the great ocean view from The Beach House Seal Beach. Paid for 2 hours of parking and walked over to the restaurant. It was only when we entered the gate where the hostess is that we saw a small sign that said, "Closed." WAIT WHAT???? No indication in the parking lot, no sign at the sidewalk, no sign walking down the walk way. The ONLY notice was buried around a corner saying Closed. We were told they were short staffed and had to close early, sorry. As we walked back to the car, we stopped at least 4 other cars and told them the restaurant was closed. We were able to alert them so they did not pay for parking at a CLOSED restaurant. It felt like the restaurant had NO consideration for the customers. To have NO sign anywhere near where customers would be parking to notify us of a totally unexpected, unanticipated, highly unusual CLOSING at 4 pm for a restaurant that was supposed to be open until 10 pm!!!!! So I called from my car in the parking lot and asked to speak to the manager. When the manager got on he explained that they were short staffed and had to close early. I discussed the lack of notice to customers and how we paid for 2 hours of beach parking. Manager was nice and polite and totally unresponsive to the fact we paid money to visit his restaurant and now had no where to eat and were out the parking fees. I recommended they post a notice where customers could see they were closed BEFORE we paid for our parking. He said they would do it after they finished closing out. I insisted it was only fair that they notified their customers FIRST. So, as we were leaving we saw an employee come out and post a sign. I took a photo because no one would believe how inadequate their posting was if I just described it. The sign is micro small. You can see our car at the bottom of the photo. Would you notice this CLOSED sign? Come on Beach House. We know you can do better for your customers.

Definitely worth it! The vibes are unmatched. It's a unique blend of "top notch cocktail crafting" and "beer and a hot pretzel after work." You can dress up, you can dress down, it's very 'just be yourself' which I love. I've literally had caviar AND hot dogs there in the same night at an event. They know how to blend high/low. Incredible knowledge and ingredients but not snooty patootie. Super inclusive and fun, with cool popups and events happening all the time. It's a full bar so you can get any cocktail you would normally order if you're keeping it simple, or beer, wine, boilermakers, etc. There's a span of offerings and price points, so something for everyone. (Also really good N/A cocktails!) The menu is super inventive and creative! And the cocktail menu changes out every so often so there are new things to try. This area is vintage vibes and Baby Gee speaks it fluently. Really cool decor, curated by the owners who design everything from the playlist to the cocktails to the invention of never-before-seen flavors and shapes of jello shots. Try the Baby Gee appletini while you're there. Mezcal, tequila, sake appletini you ask?? Yes. Trust. And get a hot dog. Do it.

I really wanted to love this place. The vibe was fantastic...great music, a stylish ambiance, and…read morean impressive selection of specialty craft cocktails. It's clear the owners put a lot of thought and creativity into making their cocktails the centerpiece of the experience. That said, the execution didn't live up to the concept. The menu appears to rotate regularly, and while the drinks were certainly unique, most of the cocktails we tried were hit or miss. At roughly $22 per drink, I expected more balance and refinement. One cocktail started with flavors reminiscent of an Old Fashioned, but after the initial sip, the combination of bitters and fruit syrups created an unpleasant cough syrup like finish. We tried a mocktail as well, and it was mostly ice and soda water, with what seemed like a collection of syrups doing most of the heavy lifting. The drinks were creative, but many of the flavor profiles felt disjointed rather than intentional. The biggest issue, however, was the bar service and sanitation practices. I watched a bartender place a cucumber garnish into a glass using his bare hands, touching the entire garnish in the process. He then continued to take credit cards, cash, and other items before stuffing ice into additional drinks with his bare hands. Whether or not this technically violates health code standards, it certainly wasn't appetizing to watch and left a poor impression. Parking is another challenge. There is no dedicated parking, and unless you get lucky, expect to park several blocks away and walk. Overall, the atmosphere is a lot of fun and the cocktail menu is ambitious, but the drinks didn't justify the price point, and the sanitation concerns were hard to overlook. I wouldn't rush back, especially given the cost and parking difficulties.

That's an owner that truly cares about his business! The menu has a lot to offer. Great steaks, prime rib, and a lot of seafood options! In addition, the iffer daily specials. Honestly, it was tough to decide. We all chose seafood! Next visit definitely plan to try their Prime Rib or Filet! They have great soup and salad options as well! Next visit I want to try their French Onion Soup! Always looking for a great one! Interior has nice cozy booths. Parking was easy with a share lot. Cocktails were great! Martinis made right! I enjoyed my glass of Malbec. I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised! Bread was warm and excellent! First impressions with bread is important and they measured up! We ordered the Beet Salad and the Asian Pear Salad. Both came with fresh Burrata and so good! For entrees we ordered Sear Ahi, Salmon, and Seated Scallops. My husband waa so impressed with his salmon, his quote, the best he has ever had! I had the seated scallops. The menu stated they were East Coast, where I grew up, and why I orderd them. I can't tell you exactly the differencebl but I prefer them back there vs West Coast, seem more meaty to me. They were preoared perfectly, definitely enjoyed the dush along with the side cous cous (pearl type) and lots of colorful al dente veggies! Our son ordered the appetizer size of the Seared Ahi. Perfect size when paired with a full size salad! It also was an excellent pick! Desserts. This place is known for their inhouse made desserts. If you know me, you know I have a sweet tooth. Nice offering if desserts. Since it wa our anniversary, they comp'd us a dessert of our choice! Very nice! We ordered two, Bread Pudding and Apple Tart. Both were excellent! I ordered a turkey sandwich with cheese on sourdough bread with a side of fries, and my friend ordered the buffalo wings. When the sandwich came out, we both looked at it like, "Are they seriously serving this?" The sandwich was cold -- which was not mentioned on the menu -- and looked like something you'd pack in an elementary school lunchbox. At a bar, you'd at least expect the bread to be toasted, especially since it tasted old. The fries were overcooked, greasy, and room temperature. It seemed like they had been sitting out for a while before being served. I still ate about half because I was starving and didn't want to be "that person." The buffalo wings weren't much better. My friend said the sauce tasted good, but the wings themselves were hard and overcooked. Overall, I'd recommend eating before you go. The drinks, atmosphere, and service are solid -- just don't go expecting good food.
