We go to Marni's frequently because we enjoy the atmosphere and the open-air vibe. This sports bar offers something for everybody. Practically the entire side of the sports bar has garage door style windows that when open create a really nice open-air atmosphere during the warmer months. The sliders, wings, quesadillas, pizzas, and their salads are our favorite go-to's. We do occasionally treat ourselves to the fish and chips. ( btw, Their burgers are huge!) They have trivia on Tuesdays, Karaoke on Wednesdays, Burger Bash on Thursdays, bands on Fridays and Saturdays ( and I may note they have bands on Sundays after football season). There are pool tables, as well. Marni, as well as the servers, manager Nolan, and the cooks are friendly and welcoming. Oh, there are plenty of large TVs and on Sundays the TVs have stickers attached to let the fans know which TV will have which game...A nice touch. So I have been to this place a few times. The service has always been horrible and tonight, I ordered a burger that came will fries. It was $7. I went there for Wednesday, $1.00 Wing Night. Wings were okay. I ordered Lemon Pepper and regular hot sauce. They had karaoke, too.

We've been here 4 times to see friends' bands play. Food is mediocre at best and overpriced. Cocktails are weak. Beers are generic brews....and cost $10 a pint. Really, though, it's the horrible service that accounts for the 1 star rating. Last time we went, we sat at the bar...4 bartenders walking around behind the bar, they would look at us and just look away and go over and talk to each other in the corner. It took forever to "flag down" a bartender who was 10 feet away and not serving anyone else! Not just us, we witnessed other customers at the bar having the same struggle, approaching the group of bartenders who looked disgusted and annoyed to be "bothered" with customers. No greeting, no smile, no nothing! It was like pulling teeth. We received a separate check for each round, and they obviously expected us to scan the QR code and pay, ie. go through the payment process 3x instead of just putting our tab on one bill. Annoying! Total waste of $50 for 4 beers. There are plenty of great bars nearby in Long Beach where you get great service, friendly welcome, and craft beers for $7 or $8 a pop, not $10 for an 805. We came here on Saturday night of the St Patty's Day weekend. Not very busy at 6:30 and a band opening up at 7pm. That should have been tell tale sign, but, we were out exploring the new venue in town. Service was good to start, we ordered 2 cocktails and they came quickly. They were weak as heck, just average at best. And those would be the last drinks of the evening, as we were never asked about another one. For food, I ordered the Corn Beef and Cabbage( it's St Patty's Day!) and a southwest burger. Food arrived, we weren't asked if we needed more drinks, and that was the last we saw of our server for an hour. My food was garbage it couldn't have been a worse presentation of the Holiday treat. Thinly sliced corned beef that looked like it was for sandwiches. A palm full of cabbage accompanied it that was tasteless and pathetic. The burger was not better. Boring and thin fries with no taste along with a tasteless burger that was barely eaten. The band started playing soon after and we thought we would enjoy them with another cocktail post dinner. Nope. We finally flagged somebody down who asked if we wanted a box for the uneaten food. I said yes and asked for the check as well. She said, I'll have to find your server. Ok I guess? She did come back with a box. No check and no concern that we might have wanted another drink or something else. Our server did arrive back eventually with the check. I should've dined and dashed. During this time, another couple arrived, sat next to us, were ignored, asked one of the 4 bartenders for a menu, still ignored after that, we're never asked for a drink or acknowledged, got up and finally left. I don't think anyone even cared or noticed. I hope they can correct this, they seem to have plenty of employees. Maybe to many TV's onsite. They were all very interested in those and not the customers. read more

Food was pretty good the first time we were there a few months ago. Just came this past Saturday, and the food was borderline inedible. Guacamole came out brown with no flavor. Our quesadilla was a questionable mess of grease and lettuce. Drinks were OK, but we were just drinking vodka sodas, hard to get that wrong. Our server was pretty much non existent after taking our order. I doubt this place has much more time. Sad, we wanted another good spot in seal! Terrible service, we had to ask for water after barely being greeted and proceeded to wait for the waitress for another ten minutes. The waitress claims she was the only server and decided to have a long personal conversation with one table Instead of servicing us. The ambiance was slow and no life with flickering lights that causes terrible lighting. We left before even ordering because service was so bad. We will never be back. So my mother and I went to this place last Wednesday for karaoke. This was my first time ever there and most likely my last time. I went to the bar and ordered a drink from a lady who had blafk hair with a silver/white streak. I found out later her name was Candace. I ordered a Hennessy w/a diet coke back. I get the tab, give her my card & she starts spinning it like she was holding it hostage & asks me if I wanted some wings because they were $1 a piece. I said no..why is there a drink or order minimum? I mean I did just pay for a shot of cognac and was charged $3.50 for the diet coke back, which it all came up to about $18. She said no but continued to try & convince to buy something else...so I said I'll take what the lady next to me was having, which was chips, salsa, guacamole. I sat down, she brought my order and OMG was the chips SALTY...so was the salsa. I kept dusting the salt off the chips and to eat them & cringed at the salsa. It was excruciating trying to eat this expensive salty food. My mom tasted and she said how the heck are you eating this mess?? We were just trying to put something in our stomachs because we were drinking. So we did manage to get down about half the chips, but most of the guacamole and salsa was left. She talked me into saying something because I wasn't at first. We tols the lady with the blonde hair that the food was so salty & she actually agreed & said that.they keep talking to the cooks in the kitchen to tone it down with the salt & over salting everyone's food. She ended up sending the Candace lady to our table & she had major attitude. She asked if I wanted them to remake it & I politely said no thanks but I wanted to inform her of how saly the food was. She asked again if I wanted them to remake it & when I told her no again, Candace had the nerve to ask me why. I said because I don't want my feet swelling up to the size of this table. If you don't already habe health problems, you will after eating this because this cannot be healthy. She asked if I wanted something else and for the THIRD OR FOURTH TIME I SAID NO. I kept thinking...why would I want something else salty from the same chef? Candace said, "let me see what I can do'," ...took the food... then got up, went to the bar &, began bad mouthing us to the other bartender & looked at us while doing so. We were beyond shocked! I mean she talked major trash and all we kept hearing was "TORTILLA CHIPS ." I mean we were drinking so we were just trying to force something in our stomachs and even though we had to wipe every single chip off to eat it..after about half the chips we just couldn't do it. She never came back to the table after she took our food..just talked about us like a dog. She had more patience with the lady they had to escort out because she was too drunk...but she wasn't black either. Either way, we were embarrassed and her service was HORRIBLE! read more

I have been a long time Glory Days customer and tried out the new Marni's on the first Saturday they opened. Was a bit disappointed with the service and food. Unfortunately they hired on one of the most useless waitress from Glory Days, I think Sharon, which is not a good way to start. The busboy was great, really hustled and friendly. Another waitress was nice and seemed to care. Our server/bartender was nice but just started an hour before we got there so was understandably a bit lost. I will go back to see if they have improved. Chaos that's the best way I can describe this place. The band was great. The problem is there's not enough seating for as many people they pack here. Didn't seem to be organized. We sat there for a good hour then finally we caught the bartender he offered to help start a tab for us. Five stars for him. The food was average bar food. The waiters and waitresses are running around. You can't seem to get anyone's attention who is serving you. So I wouldn't recommend coming here at night when there's a band playing unless you want to deal with the chaos and highly recommend getting there very early at least two hours ahead of time. read more

Food was awful our second time around. The salad came out wet, with a pool of water in the bowl. The "Mai Tai" was orange juice and rum and not one of their "craft cocktails" came in a chilled glass. The only decent thing we found on the menu was the chicken wings, which were just ok. The pizza was super undercooked and the dough raw. We love that the new owner kept Wednesday evening karaoke ...and kept it earlier (7pm). I wish it brought in a larger crowd because most of the singers are great & dinner is good & affordable. It's like a dinnertime mini music festival. We get the 6 wings for 6 dollars deal. The food is great. The service is great. The layout is great. You can get closer or further from the music, and you don't need earplugs. Pool tables! Indoors! Outdoors! Great location! read more

Everything was on point. Susie and Keri always do a nice job. The food is consistent, nothing revelatory but it is a better grade of bar food. Ambience wise, it has a cavernous feel to it but it's been that way since it was Glory Days and probably before that. It's definitely worth checking out. read more

We are a family of 5- long time Glory Days fans- celebrated almost every milestone there because the space holds a lot of people and the kids enjoy the arcade and the parents could relax knowing their kids were having a good time too. Tired Marin's for the first time today. Immediately disappointed the arcade was closed. Then disappointed at the price of the food. The food ended up truly being delicious. And the servers were very kind. Talked to Marni herself and she promised a kid's menu is to come and more things for kinds to enjoy would be added by little league season. but not an arcade.
