I really wanted to love this place due to the dope location (seal beach harbor?). Went on a Saturday, expected a wait so no problem putting our name down and went to wander the beach. When it was our turn to get seated, it took a long time for them to get our order, an hour after that to get our food. Food finally came out and it was just okay. I'd prob skip this place and go on main street next time.

Was looking for a nice spot on the water and boy were we not disappointed. Not only does this place have great ocean front seating but there's plenty of it. The staff was also super friendly and did not steer us wrong on food choices. We got a bottle for mimosas and then steak and eggs and the steak was cooked great which I'm always nervous about. Would love to come back here around sunset and probably will.

Came here over the weekend for breakfast and it was a great experience. I like how you can make reservations online and we opted for the "sand bar" seating which was directly facing the beach and ocean. Beautiful views all around. We were lucky as our seats was covered by an umbrella and in the shade - others with sand bar seating not so much. I'm glad it's under new ownership as now the prices are much affordable than before. Breakfast items are $15-20...which is a steal when seated right on the sand. I got the breakfast burrito with sausage. This burrito was OK. The salsa was good, however, everything mixed together just OK. It needed some kind of sauce or something in the burrito. My friend had the loco mocco and thought the same thing. It was good but just eh. We've clearly had both of these breakfast items at other places that were better, but was the views this good? I don't think so. I would say 5 stars for the views and vibes and maybe 4 stars for the food. Our server was really friendly and food came out promptly. I would definitely come back here to try their lunch menu.

Finally had the opportunity to stop in for breakfast. I had the simple peanut butter & banana toastie and my son had the Loco Moco. I really wanted the Loco Moco too, but they didn't have a spam option - too bad. All good. Would return for another toastie!

First time here. We missed breakfast, it's only offered til 1145am. Wish they had some breakfast items they serve the whole day :(. The server was full of smiles and was very attentive, very nice. I gave them a 3 because the server was great, I would downgrade the 3 to a 2 if the service wasn't good. So I was very hungry when we got there, I'd been fasting since the night before and we ordered around 1pm. I ordered the jidori chicken salad. The salad was plain but did include arugula salad mix which I liked. Just cherry tomatoes, boiled egg and salad mix and chicken with ranch dressing. It was too plain for me, needed cucumbers at min, avocado and maybe some shredded cheese, croutons would have been a nice addition. The chicken was ok, was hoping it was cooked to order but was refrigerated and it tasted ok. We also ordered the steak bites and fried calamari as our appetizers. The steak bites were barely warm and very small, the pics on yelp made them seem like they were bigger bites and they were bland and the fried onions seemed like they were fried yesterday. I'd pass on these. The fried calamari, more batter than protein? I never thought I'd say the calamari was very bland almost like it was just batter without the calamari, it was a little shocking since this is an ocean side restaurant. Would skip this as well. The fish and chips, underwhelming. The cod was tough, the batter was ok. The French fries, now how can you get fries wrong? The fries were whatever, tasted old not freshly fried. The poke bowl looked pretty, the food looked pretty but the taste and portions was not up to par. The poke fish tasted too fishy, the mango, avocado, rice were fine and chips were good. The Bloody Mary tasted weird and needed more tomato juice for a savory flavoring. I drank it all because it was $16 and I didn't want to return anything. Again, ocean side venue and the seafood was not good. The cups used to serve soda were small not restaurant style large cups, not sure why, this is a miss entirely. Unfortunately, I will not be going back here for the food. The ambiance was ok, the bathroom was clean, plenty of parking and the sign said $3 an hour no more than $15 for the day. This place can be so much better, one, they should remodel and take down the front high seating counter which is the only area you can sit with an ocean view so if it's lowered and glass windows are placed you can see the ocean from the entire dining area outside. You don't have a clear view of the ocean which to me is a big miss. There is inside seating but lots of gnats flying around which I don't like. Sorry, I wish I can give a better score but I had high hopes and was very disappointed. Note: I did eat all of my salad because I was starving, and it was an ok salad.

Great place to meet up with friends! We were there Monday afternoon after 1pm so it wasn't crowded and it was off season. - Indoor and outdoor dining with beach views! - Parking is not free and you will need to pay at the kiosk. - Menu is simple but flavorful. - Our waitress recommended the burger, fish and chips or the poke bowl. - Tuna salad sandwich was okay. It was mixed in with micro greens so I felt like I was making good choices. The bun was big so I ate it open face with the bottom half only. - Side salad was a little heavy on the arugula. - The restaurant has a single unisex restroom but the public restrooms are next to the restaurant. -Amazing Seal Beach views! Just happy to take it all in!!

I always like the atmosphere right in the beach. Food is good. A favorite is chicken piccata. Fish and chips and loco moco are good. Listening to live music on a Saturday afternoon on the beach is fantastic. Ashe brothers performed today. Can't beat the vibe.

This is a hidden gem... I was greeted by a Server who said her name is MADDY she is so sweet and Kind sat me down and went over to a table of seniors who apparently our regulars she was fully engaged to their conversation and was so quick, sweet and kind. I hope the owners of this establishment realize what an asset she is.

I love this place a beautiful spot right on the beach. Ambiance - the vibe is so SoCal an outdoor and indoor seating restaurant . If you want to sit out door I suggest making reservations. Indoor seating is amazing as well so any seat would be great . Service - the server was amazing gave us a drink suggestion and also food suggestions . She was very nice and had an amazing attitude . Brought us coffee right away and made sure our coffee never ran out . Food- we started with the banana nut pancake and it was the best decision yes we started with a pancake first lol. I ordered the chili omelette and again another amazing choice ended it with the salmon cappers toast and just a nice complement and clean choice after the heavier dishes . Over all great spot with a beautiful location .

4.5 stars The Beach House in Seal Beach is one of those places that reminds you why living in SoCal is worth it. I've been here twice, once for a sunset dinner with my girlfriend and another time for my friend's engagement party. Her fiance rented out a big section on the patio for 35 people and it was perfect. The restaurant opens right onto the sand, so you're basically eating with an ocean view and sea breeze built in. Service was great both times: fast, friendly, and totally on top of things. Food and drinks came out quick and accurate, even with a big group. The food's solid. Not the star of the show, but definitely good enough to keep you happy while you watch the sunset. The real draw here is the setting, it's classic SoCal beach life in full form. Tip: - there's a good sized parking lot but you have to pay with a credit card or their app every 2 hours; no Apple Pay - Great beach day spot for when you want to relax in the sand but still have easy parking, food, drinks, and a bathroom steps away

How packed is this place for breakfast? Looking for options in the area.

    Very busy after 10am

What's your Happy hour timing on Fridays?

Happy Friday!!! Happy hour is all night Monday - Thursday starting at 3:00pm. On Friday happy hour is until 6:00pm.…

    Do they take reservations?

I've been there many times and never made a reservation. I love the Filet Mignon with Asparagus & golden mashed potatoes, medium rare for me. You do have to pay for parking now.

Anyone know if they have a corkage fee?

    Yes, there is.

Could I bring my two under 15 lbs dogs for the patio seating like I used to do?

    YES YOU CAN

    Is the patio pet friendly?

As I recall, there was a sign, indicating "no pets" but it was right after they opened maybe things have. changed

Not dog friendly? Any plans on changing this policy? River's End was pet friendly and many loved going there with their pups. Hopefully the policy is revisited.

Seal Beach doesn't allow dogs on the beach. Grateful the Beach House only allows service dogs. I love my fur babies. Just not around food. Nor do I want animals around children that they don't know.

    When is happy hour?

    3-6

Do you have any vegan options?

Sorry, just saw this question, because I was looking for answers myself, as we will go there tomorrow! Looks like their Cauliflower Starter states it's Vegan!

    Do we need reservations?

We made them on a Sunday night to make sure we had inside seating.

    Who are the owners?

    https://www.ocregister.com/2022/12/16/the-beach-house-finally-set-to-open-on-monday-dec-19-in-seal-beach/

    Are you serving breakfast?

We are not open for breakfast yet. Please stay tuned.

Do you have a vegan menu?

Check the menu on the website.

I don't see any mention of breakfast on the posts about the Beach House?

Can I make a reservation for a birthday dinner for 01/07/2023?

Right now The Beach House Seal Beach is not taking reservations if the party is not 10 or more 😇

I arrived at my usual time about 15 minutes before brunch is scheduled and advertised to end. The bartender, who is not my usual server, informed me that I could not order brunch. When I politely inquired as to why, since the time had not expired for brunch, she condescendingly told me that since I don't work at a restaurant, I wouldn't know that the kitchen shuts down before the actual time. I noticed that the owner didn't happen to be there that Sunday as he usually is. We left.

It's clear the owners put a lot of thought and creativity into making their cocktails the centerpiece of the experience. That said, the execution didn't live up to the concept. The menu appears to rotate regularly, and while the drinks were certainly unique, most of the cocktails we tried were hit or miss. At roughly $22 per drink, I expected more balance and refinement. One cocktail started with flavors reminiscent of an Old Fashioned, but after the initial sip, the combination of bitters and fruit syrups created an unpleasant cough syrup like finish. We tried a mocktail as well, and it was mostly ice and soda water, with what seemed like a collection of syrups doing most of the heavy lifting. The drinks were creative, but many of the flavor profiles felt disjointed rather than intentional. The biggest issue, however, was the bar service and sanitation practices. I watched a bartender place a cucumber garnish into a glass using his bare hands, touching the entire garnish in the process. He then continued to take credit cards, cash, and other items before stuffing ice into additional drinks with his bare hands. Whether or not this technically violates health code standards, it certainly wasn't appetizing to watch and left a poor impression. Parking is another challenge. There is no dedicated parking, and unless you get lucky, expect to park several blocks away and walk. Overall, the atmosphere is a lot of fun and the cocktail menu is ambitious, but the drinks didn't justify the price point, and the sanitation concerns were hard to overlook. I wouldn't rush back, especially given the cost and parking difficulties.
