Mahmah...now in heaven, but forever in our hearts.
    John D.

Everyone that we had help us out last night was very caring and nice. We were very grateful for this team for making Mahmah comfortable and sending her off into her deep sleep to be in doggy heaven. It is one of the saddest times in a person's life when they have to lose their furbabies. We got right in and they took care of everything nice and smoothly for us. Also supplied kleenex and gave us the time we wanted and needed. A very nice tech also came in and did a pawprint for us. Dr Caldwell was very sympathetic. She really helped with this very sad time of life. The facility is also very clean and safe feeling. Thank you for all the help last night.

    Rude worker. Kristen

My heart is broken! Not only did I have to deal with the loss of my dog but I also had to deal with a very rude assistant, Kristen, which made my moment of heartbreak even more stressful!!! My beloved dog of 14 years died in surgery, the doctor told us to hurry back to say our goodbyes. We decided to take her home...they asked us if we wanted paw prints but we didn't know we would have to wait hours, we were told it'll be about 15-20 more min every time we asked... or we can call you, I said, we live out of town, how long does it take?... their response, "we're really busy"... but my dog just died and we would like to take her home and start the grieving process.... Ok wait outside and we'll bring her out... 1/2 hr, 1 hr, 2 hrs, 2 1/2hrs... They make you wait outside to bring your dog's body to you... While waiting for the paw prints and our dog who just past away, the office assistant (she said her name was Kristen), walked outside on her phone,... (after almost 3 hrs now) looked at me and said, no she's not ready yet!... so I asked how long would it take for paw prints and she snapped back in a very rude tone about how busy they were. I said, don't talk to me like that I just lost my dog and that's really rude... as she walked away and went back into the building. Kristen was really rude for no reason and showed no compassion for our loss. When I went to the office to complain, her apology was more of an accusation that she replied that way because she was on the phone... and she still did not give a genuine apology. Instead her and another office assistant that had tattoos on her neck bagan to forcefully tell us to wait outside or on the couch and to get away from the counter.... was still rude and only then she finally asked someone to get paw prints done... and get our dog ready for release. I was too distraught to argue and was just happy they were finally going to release our dog to us. When we finally got her body, they left the IV in her arm from when she was in surgery.and the paw prints were not in a certificate it was literally on scratch paper. I understand being stressed because she works in a busy environment but if they would have just given us our dog when we got there that would have been one less thing on their to do list to be stressed about. Why did it take a complaint to get them to give us our dog back??? After the complaint, it only took them 10 minutes to give me my baby. Now we can bury her and have closure. I would have given no stars but I am giving 1 star because there were 2 other office assistants that were actually very kind. Shalom and a gentleman who I didn't get his name that left at about 8:30p. Thank you Shalom I know you tried to help, I did appreciate that you tried to get our baby ready for release and kept getting told no. Now we take lay her down to rest in peace.

WARNING!!!!!!! My dog ate a piece of a toy , she threw it up at home, but in the middle of the night began vomiting and diarrhea. Took her to this place at 230 in the morning. She was stable but I was worried. Got her in at 430am, filled out paperwork explained what happened and the fact that she has a history of pancreatitis. The symptoms are also associated with pancreatitis. I authorized credit card charge ahead of time, asked to be called 3x for X-ray results before any other procedures may have to be done. At 730 am I get a call that Annie had surgery. I got not one call from this place, within 3 hours my dog was in and out of surgery for NO reason and without my permission or knowledge!! There was no blockage,I should have been given the opportunity to choose for My family member. She should have been given a chance with fluids and antibiotics and observation as she was stable. 2000 dollars for a procedure that put my Annie at risk, and pain and suffering for her!!!! I have attempted MULTIPLE times to speak with these people to no avail! It's not about the money , this is an ethical and moral problem with this VET! To top it off it was the director who chose to put my dog through an unnecessary procedure!!!! Be careful, I know we all love our pets, mine could have died in the operating table for NO reason!

We took our Dane here this last Friday at 1 am. He wasn't acting right, we thought he had a fever or was feeling ill. Turns out he had extreme back pain. The girls took him in and Doctor Holmes knew exactly what was wrong with him. For these gentle giants, finding that out before it gets worse ( how we lost our last Dane) was a great sign. He was put on meds and got a shot for the pain. He is doing a lot better but he is on bed rest. Thank you! You girls saved our baby. We don't want to lose him like we lost our last, so this was a wake up call to start really monitoring him. This place is great and cares for our Dane just like his regular vet.

I took my baby here when he sprained his neck. The wait line was long but totally worth it. The vet that was working that day was so nice and explained everything to me in great detail. He gave us medicine and it was all of a reasonable price I wasn't expecting. Definitely recommend coming here!

We waited 2.5 hours before being even assessed. But other than that I was happy with the visit. I read all the reviews and was worried about the level of care due to what I was reading. My cat bootsie came in with what seemed like she was exposed to a toxin. I'm glad we brought her in. It was the hardest decision ever but right by her. She had a fever of 106.4 and would have likely passed at home in pain. We opted for euthanasia due to the diagnosis and I knew it was coming. I couldn't afford treatment as it was. They didn't even charge me for the doctors exam for the $189 they only charged us for the euthanasia. Which I felt was a fair price for $199 to take the body home vs golden valley vet whom I called for a quote on the same thing and they quoted me $360!!! Not even for cremation The doctor she was very kind and explained the options and gave me reality. We made the right choice by Bootsie. The staff were great in helping me shave a patch of her fur and even got her paw prints for me and nose prints. I didn't even think they would get it since her whole mouth was covered in the activated charcoal I gave her. But I saw when I got home how many great prints they did of her paws and nose and it warmed my heart to have those. Thanks for helping her transition over the rainbow bridge

However, once we were placed in a room, we waited for an hour and a half and no technician or veterinarian came in to check on us. No one provided any updates or explained what was going on. We ultimately decided to leave and go somewhere else. This was not how we wanted our little dog's final moments to be handled. It felt like there was very little communication or urgency. It was a very disappointing and upsetting experience during an already difficult time.

Around 8pm on march 21st my cat started having trouble breathing and she started convulsing. She wasn't breathing until my brother would shake her to start breathing again. We rushed her to this emergency clinic but she sadly passed away in my brothers arms in the car just two minutes from the clinic. The team was fantastic. One of the members there who took my cat to the back let us stay there for as long as I needed and didn't judge me for crying loudly. My mother paid $600 in total for my beloved cat to be cremated and to have a clay print of her paws which in my opinion is a great price. About a week(ish) later we got to pick up her ashes and the clay print we were promised and I believe the team went above and beyond. I received a card with the team's signatures and a certificate of cremation.

Instead of addressing the situation professionally and taking accountability for the confusion, the behavior we experienced was unacceptable. We entrusted this facility with the care of our pet and expected to be treated with courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this clinic to others who expect professionalism, respectful communication, and accountability from veterinary staff.

They kept my dog in an oxygen tank overnight and the next day advised us that she would not make it. I understand that vets advise humane euthanasia but they shouldn't guilt trip the patient's owners into it. Also please know how your pets act because vets and vet techs don't know them as much as you do! Our dog usually pants heavily and gets really anxious and the vets perceived it as her struggling to breathe and even kept advising us that euthanasia was the only way. We opted to bring her home and get a second opinion with her primary vet (who advised us that she was still bright and alert and needed treatment, not euthanasia!) Her primary vet also saw red flags with all the different medication she was given and obviously would cause her body to react negatively. We could have lost her that day to euthanasia but thank goodness we followed our instinct and brought her home. It's been 5 days now and she's starting to eat and drink and get her strength back. When it's time - they will let you know. Humane euthanasia is beneficial, yes. But know how your pets are and always get a second opinion if you're not sure!

They took great care of our dog, thoroughly explained everything and sent us home with medication to help her recover. If you ever need an emergency vet, I would definitely recommend All Creatures. I did not want her in pain so I called All Creatures Emergency Vet and was told I didn't need an appointment, to just show up when I could. It was a 35 minute drive and when I arrived, the door was locked. I knocked but didn't see anyone. After a few minutes, another woman walked up and said "They do this. You gotta bang." She knocked on the door repeatedly until someone came outside. It took a few more minutes. We were put in a room immediately and proceeded to wait about an hour to be seen by the vet tech. To be fair, a dog that had been hit by car came in after we were in the room. From what we heard it was already deceased. Then, a woman brought in a her friend's dog she was supposed to be caring for and told the staff she wasn't sure if it was breathing. Based on what they said, that dog was also deceased. The vet tech was not very personable and she took our dogs temperature rectally but with zero skill and after what seemed like 5 minutes, was finally done. It was not a good experience. After we spoke to the tech, we asked for water for our dog, which was brought and waited another 15 min or so for the vet. Dr. Case took a look at our dog and I explained I was concerned about a UTI and gave her history of bladder stone removal and kidney issues. I also asked her to look at a bump on my dogs leg, since we were already there and at my dogs advanced age I am always worried about her cancer returning. The estimate for X-rays for that was well over $400 so I said I would have my regular vet do it on my next visit the following week. Without the x-rays for the bump, the estimate was $520 for the emergency exam, urinalysis, and medication if needed. We agreed and the vet tech came back in (I thought to get our dog for tests) and told us that we would need to pay up front before they would start the process. I have never experienced that before but we gave her a credit card to charge. Once she did that, she returned and took our dog back to extract urine. I went to the restroom shortly thereafter and there was a man at the desk with his dog. The same vet tech was giving him an estimate and, right in front of me said, "Don't worry, you can wait to pay until everything is done." Look, I get that this is Stockton and although I was surprised by the pay first attitude, I can't say I didn't understand. Every business has the right to decide if they want people to prepay or pay after, but to pick and chose with seemingly no reason or standard is totally unprofessional. Also, just a note, but if you read through most of the reviews, as I had time to do during my long wait, you will see that most of the 5 stars are from people whose animals were euthanized here and most of the 1 stars are from people who brought in their sick animals looking for help. Our dog was brought back promptly and we waited another hour before the vet returned. She said there was bacteria in my dogs urine and they gave us antibiotics but they did not have the correct dosage for my small dog so they gave me large pills (with no break line) and said to cut them in half myself and give them to my dog. Of course I was concerned that when I broke the pills, small pieces would scatter and she would not be getting the full dose which obviously happened. After the first few days we noticed that our dog was getting no relief from the antibiotics and scheduled the first available appointment with our regular vet. When she completed the full course, I emailed All Creatures Emergency Vet to confirm that they had found bacteria and ask if they tested to ensure they gave the correct antibiotics because it had not helped. It took them 3 days to respond. The response was that I should get a "urinalysis with culture and sensitivity sent to the laboratory...Or maybe there is no infection and she has cystitis." We saw our regular vet and she is now doing much better after weeks of being uncomfortable. Long story short: We spent 3 hours and over $500 for our dog not to feel better.

Once they discovered what was wrong, everything moved very quickly, and I was understandably very distraught and emotional. During that stressful moment, she showed such kindness and compassion--she even offered us bottled water. It may seem like a small gesture, but it meant so much to us and made a difficult situation a little more manageable. I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to Dr. To and Nurse Mei for their swift action as soon as they identified what was wrong with my pup, Mia. Their urgency, professionalism, and compassion made all the difference during such a frightening time. They also allowed my partner and me to remain by Mia's side throughout her treatment, which meant so much to us. We called our regular vet, and with it being a Friday afternoon they had no available appointments. Totally understandable, we were referred to an emergency clinic in Berkeley. The traffic in that direction to berkley was terrible, and by this point my poor dog is shaking and pooping blood. My coworker from Pacifica, overheard my panic as I was on the phone at work with my husband who was with our sick dog frantically trying to find an emergency clinic, suggested VEG veterinary emergency group. She said she had heard great things and took her sick pup there, from Pacifica to San Ramon based on others glowing recommendations of them. I instructed my husband to rush to San Ramon, while I called veg to give them a heads up on my dog being rushed in. By this point, I'd called multiple other "emergency" pet clinics and was frustrated with the lack of appointments (and empathy). I called VEG fully expecting to get turned away and I was pleasantly surprised with how Wonderful, supportive and helpful the front desk gal was. She calmly heard me out, understood that I was at work my husband was in the car speeding towards them with a vomiting shaking, mess of a dog. She texted me an intake form to fill out. And told me not to worry and that they would be ready to help my husband and dog as soon as they came through the door. This place has pet emergencies dialed in. My husband said as soon as he came in, they greeted him and my dog dingo by name and took them in side and seen by a vet FAST. They quickly administered IV hydration, gave him anti nausea and anti diarrheal. They took blood for tests and X-rays ( or ultrasound I'm not sure) to check for blockages. My husband was blown away by the open lobby and the efficacy and compassion. Thankfully seems like our Boy will live to see another day, he's feeling much much better. And we now have a go to location for any pet emergencies. Don't hesitate on driving here from anywhere in the Bay Area for an animal emergency. They are worth the drive and the money. I will say it was not a cheap visit but given the circumstances the care and the efficiency was well worth every single penny. This place is great. Thank you so much VEG. The best in pet emergencies

She ended up staying there for three nights, and while I was told she had begun eating at the clinic, when I brought her home she still wasn't eating and was in very poor condition. What's most difficult for me is that she passed away the day after I brought her home, after I had spent nearly $16,000 on her care. Looking back, I strongly wish someone had been more candid with me about her prognosis and whether euthanasia might have been the most humane option. I feel like I wasn't given the information I needed to make an informed decision about her end-of-life care. I don't doubt the compassion of the staff, but I do wish there had been clearer communication and more medical guidance during such a critical time. For anyone going through something similar, I would encourage asking very direct questions about prognosis and quality of life, as I wish I had been guided more firmly in that direction.

Our 6 year old dog Ruby was completely lame.... Unable to walk, clearly in pain...I took her to a…read morerehab center in LA and wasted a year before going to see orthopedic surgeon Dr. Bear at Sage. Ruby had her first TPLO surgery in August 2025 and the second in October 2025. It was expensive but we're thrilled... we got our Ruby back! She's walking, running, having fun at the beach - all pain free. Our family is once again making memories with our girl. I highly recommend Sage and the TPLO procedure.
