Rude and condescending. I have a medication that I cannot miss even one dose without extremely negative results. I called my pharmacy with a request for refill on a Friday. On Wed. the Pharm called saying there was no response from the Dr. I called the Arch office saying the Pharm needed to hear from them and that I Really needed this done soon as without the meds I will get very ill. We then discussed a couple of things. At the end of the conversation I reiterated my need for the medication and the doctor's renewal and was told, "I heard you the first time." The staff is rude, and not helpful. There is one box of tissues for the entire lobby and when you request more they deny them to you. The doctors meet with you via zoom and take forever!! I've been waiting for my blood test results for 2 weeks now and when I try to call the phone just rings and nobody ever answers.

The reviews are correct. Marque is very good at what they do, even at this location. It seems to be in a zone with very few urgent care options, and also has x-ray and physical therapy. However, any other location of Marque is not jammed with patients. Try Governor Drive, Pacific Beach, or Eastlake. It is a different and faster experience. San Ysidro Health, Sharp, and other urgent cares are all pretty good. Scripps has a 24 hour urgent care at Torrey Pines, to the side of Scripps Green Hospital. It is excellent. If you have a low budget, Medi-Cal has a network of urgent care locations that are quite willing to accept Covered California. Marque will most likely ask for $100 and bill the rest. They can ask to lower the copay, but it will be billed in the mail or at your next visit. read more

One star is too much! My daughter fell off a horse. Used this place because they have xray machine. I suspect broken ribs. This is the Walmart of health care...rediculous! Nothing URGENT about THIS OUTFIT. Had to make an appointment 30 hours ahead then waited 1.5 hours to get vitals. Then waited in exam room 40 mins plus before seeing a provider. Absurd!!!!!! Today was my 3rd experience with Marque Urgent Care - Grossmont in the last year and a half and it was impossibly better than the first two, which were both exceptional. I made a reservation for 1pm today, I arrived 10 minutes early and they were able to take me back before my appointment time. Within 10 minutes I had been tested for COVID, flu and strep, they took my vitals and I was in a room waiting to be seen. When the nurse returned after just a few minutes he said there were 4 people in the office ahead of me so to avoid a wait, they pivoted to a telehealth appointment with the nurse using the diagnostic equipment in person and the doctor evaluating my ears, throat and lungs virtually. I was home by 1:30pm. While I may have been a bit lucky with my timing I cannot take anything away from how efficient, kind, professional and compassionate everyone was, yet again. I highly recommend Marque Urgent Care. The experience could not have been better. read more

DON'T GO HERE! they want your money but they are lazy, unprofessional, & you will get this type of service "google it" or "I'll google it for you" when it comes to your blood work results. This is the most unprofessional unequipped urgent care, I'm surprised they haven't been sued or put under. I showed up with an ear infection & the Dr couldn't spot it. Instead they sent me home with a human diagram on how not what dizziness means. When my blood results came back they called 7 times, so I was freaking out & thought I was dying. When I called back it was front desk giving me my blood results which I'm sure is not how medical professionals should go about it this, because when I asked what that mean she said I could google it. I still had not idea what was wrong with me & you would think that's the whole point of going to urgent care & going through 3 different medical exams while I was there. I decided to call back the next day to get a better understanding on my diagnosis (which I never got) and what my blood results meant. When I called back the front desk person told me she could google the meaning of my results and refused to patch me to the dr unless I booked an appointment & pay another copay. I finally spoke to customer service after that entire unpleasant phone call. They assured me that no uncertified person should be reading off your test results and assure me that a Dr would call me back to give me diagnosis and give me my blood results. He did and it was equally unsettling, the test results he gave me he was missing information until I brought up what the front desk person told me & he said "oh yeah". Then I said what was my diagnosis and he said you need to be seen by a neurologist and you have to through your primary for that. Then I mentioned the possibility of an ear affection and he said no it's not that, you have to go to your dr to see a neurologist. That every urgent care will tell me the same. Skipping forward to 40min later, I went to Scripps and they told me it's an ear affection. He noticed it by checking my ears in 5 seconds. It's nice to have your health and time taken into consideration for the same prices. NEVER going to Marquee's. When I reached out about getting my copay back for poor medical service, treatment, and pretty sure they broke some laws by not having someone certified to read my blood work examines because the Dr was being lazy.. they refused. I will be looking into a lawyer. At the end of the day I'm not dying and it was an ear affection, what a waste of money and my time. read more

I book appointment I thought this was going to be fast . And I will get my test result and medication in the same day. It's way worse I kept calling them and no one gave me an answer. I went there for a UTI. She said she has my number and she will call me back didn't get no call back. She said their processing my test and the doctor will call me didn't get no email no calls from anyone. I  didn't get any test result back. No medication should've stuck with the real urgent care at sharp. I felt like I got ripped off paid $50 co-pay for nothing. Like I just got scammed. Never using this service again. I did my appointment at 9 AM drop off my urine sample. At 12pm . This was actually my first time doing this and I thought it would be a good idea since it was a virtual appointment. And I was only going to be seen for a UTI. Definitely will not recommend using the service read more

I called just after noon and spoke with Danielle who was very informative and set us an appointment for 5:45 pm. My boyfriend emailed the consent form so I could be authorized to treat his daughter for complications she was having 3 weeks after she had the flu. We arrived at 5:40 to find out, from Julie, that they received the authorization yet did not have the appointment on the books and Danielle went home (wtf Danielle?). We waited 2 hours to be seen by Julia PA who did her job just fine. But the 2-hour wait though-- after having an appointment-- ugh Btw Danielle...Big Bird taught us that everyone makes mistakes and that's totally ok . I am more disappointed that your team (Julie) didn't have your back. She pointed at the empty chair bc you had left, said "not it" and left us hanging until I approached again after 45 minutes. We then got into a room and sat for another 45 + minutes. We left while hearing [crickets], asked it we were the last ones to leave and were told there were a few after us. So... I had an uncomfortable, scratching sensation in the back of the inside of my throat my throat that caused great discomfort when swallowing and the sensation of my throat being closed off. I looked at my throat in the mirror at home and saw a sizable swollen discolored spot with a lot of veins leading to and from it. I went to urgent care and was seen by Dr. White. He was clearly in a rush because he did not bother to truly listen to me or really look at my throat. He claimed that he didn't see any discoloration and that I had allergies. He called in Claritin D for me and sent me on my way. I knew it wasn't allergies. I did not pick up the prescription and I saw my primary care physician as soon as possible and guess what? It was a tonsillar pillar stone. After an in office procedure, the stone was removed. It was about half of the size of my thumb. Thanks for nothing Dr. White. read more

Worse urgent care staff and doctors we have ever encountered. The front office clerks are rude and talk to you in a very demeaning way. Always on their phone In my original visit, i was told my condition wasn't as serious yet and nothing could be done until after the antibiotics have run its course. Mind you- I've dealt with this condition three separate times and have had no issues with other providers. I came prepared with my previous medication list and visits paperwork. I was recommended here by my insurance since their availability was more expansive and had a reservation system. When i came back after the antibiotics, i was told that i should have come sooner because now its too late and essentially i just needed to treat it at home. Dr Jeffrey White was very condescending and arrogant. The documents stated to return if symptoms had worsened etc and all the Dr said was "well there's nothing we can do now but give you ibuprofen and more antibiotics" when clearly the pain is too strong for ibuprofen and the antibiotics did nothing to help the condition, especially after them not being the same as ones I've take previously. Which i clearly let the Dr know on my initial visit. Believe all the bad reviews on here because they are all true. I wanted to give this establishment the benefit of the doubt as each experience is different however, i have been very disappointed and my visit only proved them true. There's four years worth of complaints for Dr White and it's concerning that he has not changed in the slightest. Bedside manner-terrible. I left feeling physically worse and with the same antibiotics that did not work the first time. If i had not engage in conversation about my condition, the Dr would have been in and out in 2 minutes with some general diagnosis. Extremely upset and disappointment with this establishment. I love this clinic! First of all, it's a walk-in clinic so you don't have to make an appointment. I love that, but also I went in there with an injured shoulder to get an X-ray. I really thought it was broken. They could not have been sweeter, more patient, or more gentle with me. At the end of the day, the shoulder was not broken. I have a torn rotator cuff. They did give me a Cortizone shot, but only after I asked for one. My only complaint is that they did not wrap up my shoulder, and they did not offer me the Cortizone shot, I had to ask for it. All in all I would go back there next time I have a similar problem. read more

The walk in wait time way 25-55 minutes. I got on the list from home just in case. I arrived at 6:45 and I wasn't seen until 8:30. The front desk staff and check in nurse were so kind and helpful. Before the provider came in I heard her ask the staff if we were the last patient of the day and said "please say yes!" Which didn't give me much confidence that we were going to get her full attention. If they didn't have time to treat her they shouldn't have let me made the appointment. She came into the room and started by asking how he was doing. She continued to call her "him" despite being corrected. She checked ears and throat and told me this was from cutting molars. I asked if that normally causes vomiting and she didn't seem to know that she had been vomiting, but that was the reason we were there. She said that probably she stuck her fingers too far back when eshe was chewing on them. I told her I was sitting with her. She had the binky in and when she threw up she spit it out. She gave me a lecture about getting her off the binky. Not the time. She then told me that the only real problem was that I had her out in the cold past her bedtime and told me to take her home and but her in bed. When I expressed concern she told me that antibiotics aren't indicated, but she could call some in if I wanted them. I declined because I understand the problems with giving unnecessary antibiotic. I took her home and gave her the bedtime bottle and she promptly threw it up all over herself, me and the chair. She threw up again when she woke up. She was totally unprofessional and dismissive. This urgent care is very close to home, but it will be my last choice from now on. I would give it less than one star if I could. read more

Went for work injury, a week later my workman's comp has not received the referral for physical therapy despite me asking again and them calling and requesting it-but person on the phone told me "it could take weeks" which my workman's comp case manager said no, it does take that long when they don't actually send the referral though. I am still waiting for a knee brace for my sprained knee, it was supposed to arrive yesterday, hasn't arrived today. They have an xray but when the doctor ignores your diagnosis of sprained knee and notes it as only an abrasion you have to wonder if they can read or listen -because he sure ignored my complaints of continued knee numbness and neuropathic pain. I was injured on the job and was taken to Marque Urgent Care and I've been there now through my recovery. I really recommend Marque Urgent Care, La Mesa, CA. The physical therapy department is located next door and makes everything convenient. Blake the Physical Therapist is the one that'll fix you up and make you whole again! :) Since I've been there a while now in PT, I've got to say that I've had many interactions with the staff and only have 5 star opinions to say about them! Each time I have had to use their services, I have been so thankful they were there. They are efficient and affordable (at least for what I was needing help with). I had to go once during quarantine and the measures they took were super careful and I never felt like I was in any kind of risk of exposure. I even used them once for a telemed appointment. That was so convenient! Just a heads up, for an appointment, it's best to register online and pick a time slot. That works and cuts out a bunch of unnecessary waiting. read more

I've came here 2x and all I can say is that it's a great urgent care! They are fast paced , polite , and overall the hospital appears in good shape! Dr's have always been nice, listened to understand, and helpful when it comes to resolving problem. Front desk ladies are always nice when it comes to checking you in, I never felt like they didn't want to be there! X-ray technician is nice as well, definitely takes pride in his work- extra positioning and making sure you're comfortable! I'll continue coming here although Dr says I need to see my primary haha. I didn't even see a physician because the front staff don't understand insurance. Have an HMO so that when we go into a medical facility (sadly ones like this that are on the approved list) and pay a flat copay (deductible does not apply for INN providers) and being told it's $120 bc I haven't met the deductible. Love this urgent care! I had been coughing for a month and my own doctor stated they weren't going to see me until early July. I went to this urgent care, they took all my information right away and set me up. The wait time was about an hour and a half (but please take note I went in at 4PM, which is probably their busiest time). The wait was worth it! The staff here is very friendly, attentive, and the nurse I saw you could tell genuinely cared about people and the patients here. Expect to wait 1-2 hours after your appointment time... they covid test(and others if possibly related, like flu or strep) while you wait outside. Once those are negative then you're cleared to be seen and can go inside. Saw Dr White who is all business, and a little cold in his demeanor but also understand they're seeing tons of patients all day and spending 10 mins isn't really a lot of time to chit chat and catch up! 3 hours later we were off to get our meds. Parking is good, next to a Starbucks which is great, while you sit out there and jack in the crack is in front if you are starving and 2 tacos for $3 bucks is calling your name. read more

I have been to this urgent care twice now, once yesterday on a Sunday and a couple months ago on a Saturday. I did walk-in once and appointment once. It seems having an appointment does not make a difference, it will still be the same wait. For walk-in I waited an hour and then for the appointment I waited two hours. I think they need to communicate better that an appointment still means a wait. However...I expect waits with urgent cares, as even the Sharp Rees Stealy's were showing multi-hour waits online (one was three hours) so I was grateful for the slightly lesser wait. I was thankful for ample parking, so I could stay close by in my car (otherwise with any covid-like symptoms you have to wait outside where they also have seating, but it was cold and raining). Their bathroom was disgusting this time (was fine last time) too much spilled pee from the urine samples of the day, I let them know the bathroom needed attention. They seemed to have three doctors on staff at the time I was there and two assistants (LVNs maybe). Doctors were good at their jobs I felt. Feedback I would give is to the front desk: to be bluntly honest about wait times. Keep a cleaner bathroom. Lower your voice when you tell me that I have covid-like symptoms and need to wait outside (i don't need the whole waiting room hearing that). I prefer Sharp Rees Stealy UCs but I am ok with using this place again if needed bc it's super close to home and had comparably shorter wait times than SRS on the weekends I needed to go. However...the bathroom was just so gross this time....I am probably going to explore other options close by to try. read more

The protracted 2+ hours wait is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to our complaint about our April 2023 visit. Our visit became a medical negligence case when my wife fainted at a local department store and had me come pick her up. Once we arrived at Marque and were finally seen, she was denied imaging upon request, misdiagnosed, prescribed a medication both she and the P.A. knew wouldn't provide any treatment, and denied a referral to a specialist. A few weeks later, my wife was rushed to the E.D. where she coded and died before being resuscitated. She spent over 5 weeks in the hospital. She is now facing a 12-24 month recovery after being connected to an ECMO machine, sustaining brain damage, oxygen deprivation, and constant, severe neuropathy. I brought the matter to the attention of BETA Healthcare Group, the liability insurer of Marque, but they were unwilling to accept any liability whatsoever on behalf of the latter, stating the P.A. who saw my wife handled the situation appropriately, following all clinical protocols. We will absolutely be suing this Marque location in civil court. I will provide you all with an update as the proceedings transpire. Thank you for indulging me. read more

I would have given them a 5 if it depended on the front office staff. I was getting ready to fly out of San Diego the following day and got an ear infection. I was prescribed antibiotic ear drops that the pharmacy was not able to fill because there was an error in the amount ordered. I discovered this at 6:00pm Sunday night. I called them at 8:00am Monday morning to report the issue and asked them to take care of it right away. They said they would call me back. I waited two hours and called again. This time I had to leave a message. They never responded. It's scary to think what could happen to someone when a prescription is written wrong. This was not life threatening but still unacceptable. read more

My PCP didn't have an appointment available for me and I woke up with horrible vertigo. The regular sharp urgent care had a 2 hour wait. I'm so glad I found this site instead. It took about a half hour from start to finish. I appreciate they give you an estimated time before you go in. The staff were all very compassionate and kind. I was surprised with how patient they were with me. Usually in these offices I feel like they are desensitized to people not feeling well. They all seemed to genuinely care about my well-being. I appreciate the quick, compassionate care. I had my prescription within the hour and hopefully will be on the mend quickly. read more

Had a terrible experience here. Came here with my toddler who had split her chin in a fall and needed stitches. They were speaking badly about some other patient when they checked us in, took my money, made us wait 30 minutes only to decline working on her. One receptionist was very sweet to my toddler but it really isn't enough to make up for the others bad behavior. One receptionist was just hacking the whole time. Overall we will not ever be back here because I have never felt so frustrated at the lack of care for my toddler. Serving several years in customer service I know that this was definitely the worst experience I have ever witnessed. At the very least if they didn't have the resources then turn us away before having us waste precious time while my child is bleeding out and send us to the ER immediately. I waited almost a week for my urine culture results. They did not call me I had to keep calling them. They said someone reached out to me and either spoke with me or left a voicemail, neither of which were true. They refused to have the provider call me to go over my Lab results with me; they said I would be charged another full visit for the dr to go go over the results over the phone.. this should be included in my first visit that I paid for in which my sample was sent to the lab. How is that another visit and another $150? When I originally went the dr said they would call me in 3-5 days to let me know if I was on the correct antibiotics... so I'm left unknowing if I was treated correctly because I cannot afford another full visit. read more

I just had the most surreal American healthcare experience here. I checked in around 6:15pm and within 30 minutes i was able to be seen. Got to video chat with a NP and they provided me with a prescription to help with a nasty sore throat/ virus i had for a week. The nurse and front staff were super kind and efficient. I was in and out within an hour with really great care and feeling better the next day. The whole facility is very clean too! Im hopeful i won't have to go back to urgent care but if the unfortunate event ever occurs where i have to, i will definitely be coming here again. read more
