I have had one of the worst experiences I have ever had at this store. I'm no longer supporting this business. I felt like I was being racially profiled. I came and as I was shopping around there was a employee that was extremely close to me, following me wherever I went! I let it go and didn't think too much of it. I then headed to the fitting room to try on some clothes I had. I came back after trying them on and gave the person working in the fitting room (who's name is BLANCA a older lady with a short hair cut she also had a accent) I gave her back the pants that didn't fit. They were inside out when I handed it back to her. She got mad and said "You need to flip these back right now, I'm not doing it for you. Do it now" I said is that mandatory for me to do? She said "No, but it's busy today and I don't have time to do it for you " and continued demanding me to do it in front of her. I was in complete shock. I wouldn't of minded flipping the clothes the right way but I wasn't asked I was told. And she was raising her voice in anger. I then told her " if you didnt demand me and just asked me nicely I wouldn't of had a problem doing it, but since your raising your voice at me you can do it yourself" I then handed her the clothes and as I was walking away she started mocking me saying "awww boo hoo" and also started saying a couple of other things under her breath. I even had my children in the store with me. I then asked another employee for a manager. One came up to me about 15 minutes later, I told him what I had experienced and all he said was "sorry, that happened" totally brushed it off. I asked him for the employees name he said he couldn't tell me so i had my husband go and ask her and she stated her name was Blanca. I'm very disgusted in the way I was treated. No one deserves that type of treatment, especially someone who's spending money there. read more

Great selection and organized to boot. I love the new shoe section. One complaint is the dressing room. They are very protective of their dressing room. Which is well and good, but they are a little anal about the whole procedure of counting out clothing and not allowing shoes in to try on with clothing. Half the stalls on the women's side are warped and can't lock. Still I spend hours browsing and trying things on. I shop here all the time and the service is usually subpar but this week has been HORRIBLE. My mother and I shopped there two days ago and were treated like shoplifters in the fitting room (me especially since being young apparently means you steal.) Being chided by the fitting room attendant was enough to warrant this review... But there's more! Today I had the worst customer service I have EVER encountered. I was returning a Marc Jacobs shirt because it had a small hole in it. I had looked for another one on my own and shopped for some other items but asked the cashier if someone could check for the shirt since I LOVED it and wanted one without a hole. She or her counterparts radioed for help which, after about 5 minutes, was clear there was no one willing or able to help. The cashier then proceeds to tell me there is no one who can help and she is "off right now." Another associate mentioned that my cashier could look herself but when I asked her I she could or if she could try to get help she said she wasn't usually able to leave her post to look for something. She was much more interested in leaving for the day than helping me, and not a single person in the store apparently had time to assist me. I returned the two items I had brought back and left all of the items I had found shopping. I felt it would be inappropriate to spend money at a store that so obviously does not value my time, money, or business. read more

Three stars because they ended up giving me store credit (after a long conversation). I had come from out of town a little over a month ago, and purchased razors, that ended up being terrible, and I tried to return them and the associate and manager gave me flack saying that it is a personal item which is normally non-returnable once opened. My argument is how would I know if I needed to return it unless I opened and tried it? So basically, the moral of the story is don't buy anything here unless you have bought it in the past and liked it or are SURE you will like it. I will go to Target to try anything new. read more

I think that the level of customer service at this store does not deserve even One star rating lately! I am a resident of Danville, and has been shopping at this store regularly for the last 15 years spending a lot of money there. But in the last month I have been outraged by fully unprofessional, absolutely horrible customer service! I have never wrote negative reviews to any business in my entire life. But today I have realized, that I have to write this review not only for myself, but for all the customers visiting this store location. Most of Customer Service Representatives (cashiers) are rude and disrespectful to the customers. I have never heard them greeting customers or welcoming them to the store lately. Instead, they acting like you solicit them at their own residence and they are making you a huge favore by servicing you. These people do not realize that they are getting their paychecks from the revenue the company is earning from the sale to the customers. I used to work in the past as Northern California Regional Trainer for big retail chain, providing training to the Store Managers. And for the last 30 years my every day work is somehow connected to the customer service, which is a core to any business, and especially Retail. Few weeks ago, I have returned a Pair of shoes with the receipt that I have purchased on clearance for $20 about a week before return. When I was pulling them out of plastic bag for the return, the cashier rudely told me that I have scratched these shoes, and she was not sure if she could accept them back. I asked her what did she mean by that since it was a clearance item, and was in the same condition as I purchased it. She almost started to scream that she saw me scratching the shoes when I was pulling them out of the bag. I have openly told her that her behavior is totally inappropriate, and I came to the company store, not to her own house, and she should be respectful to me as a customer. After that she had calmed down and completed the return, but left a bitter aftertaste of disrespect. Today I came to the store again to return the porcelain coffee jar with the manual grinder attached that I have purchased As a gift for my sister. My sister told me that she did not need it since she had the electrical one. I have never opened that jar. The manufacturer label as well as Marsall's Tag were attached to the jar. The return was within 30 days with receipt. The cashier pulled out the grinder, opened the lid, and then went to so called manager Joyce. A minute later, I was told they would not accept the item back since it was used. Somehow there were traces of ground coffee inside the jar. I was shocked because I had neither used it nor open the lid of it. I had no idea, that before purchasing something in that store I had to dismantle it, to make sure it was not used by someone else before I would buy it. I told that to Joyce, but she was rude and aggressive, and said there no way she would take it back, acting like I was lying to her and committed a crime. At this point I told her that I would call the corporate office and bring this issue to the upper management. I told her that she would have to take it back, when would be directed to do so by the corporate office, because I was pretty sure that it was her inappropriate approach, and corporate office would take care of it. Instead of giving me an apology, she started to scream that I was threatening her, repeating it again and again. I tried to stay calm, and told her that I am not dealing with her provocative behavior. As a coincidence, the other cashier who gave me such a negative experience with the return of shoes couple of weeks ago, was working at the adjacent register. When she heard that I had requested the phone number to call the corporate, she jumped to the register, and said she was taking over and would accept the return. She completed it pretty quickly, probably hoping that it would resolve the conflict. But At this point I am going to call the corporate office and bring to their attention of very unhealthy environment in this store lately. What can we expect from the sales persons and cashiers if the Manager does not know how to behave and treat customers. It looks these people never got any training, most of them look unfriendly and irritated. And unfortunately, even the big companies can fall apart. And it starts from the lack of training, inappropriate behavior of employees who represent the company to the customers. Marsall's Management should learn from their sister companies TJMAXX and Home Goods who have totally different approach and customer care skills. I had never get such a negative experience in any store before. This Marshall's team treats customers like a a "trash". Before writing this review I read all the reviews on Yelp about this store, and not a surprise- I am among other customers who got same negative experience. read more

Bad return policy, w/o a recipet but the tags still on the clothing and a bank statement you'll on get store credit. There's a bad selection for men plus sizes and men's shoes are reduced to a single row of odd colored running shoes. This is a good home decor and women clothing store and maybe you'll find something on clearance if you're a man read more

The clothes seemed pretty expensive and the aisles are really long and narrow so it's hard for people to pass when you are browsing...and if they have a shopping cart, then they wouldn't be able to pass at all. An improvement from the Marshalls I remembered in downtown San Francisco and Pleasant Hill. read more

Every time I come here I ask myself, why do I bother with department stores? Buying clothes takes some patience, but you can't beat the deals. I love their housewares department -- bed, bath, and beyond indeed. I also browsed the section next to the bags and picked up some salon-brand hair products for dirt cheap. Located next to Costco. Large parking lot, kinda dark and with tight spaces. Be careful when you exit the store, lots of cars are passing thru on their way to Costco. The store itself is nice and bright though. It's not really large, but adaquate with a good variety of stuff. It's usually hit or miss here, you can find real good deals at times. I find it no different from other Marshalls, but I guess it all depends what you're looking for. Each section is on the small side. read more

Every time I shop here, I mentally spend thousands of dollars. They have one of the best selections of designer clothes of all the discount department stores, and this location seems to get the best of the overstock lot. (Way better than the Marshall's in the South Bay.) The home decor section is great too. I bought Kate Spade vases here last year for $12 each (sold for $100 plus at Macy's) and they didn't have any marks, chips, cracks, etc. They were perfect. I also love their picture frames (bought a bunch of different styles, all black, for my office for less than the price of one frame at a department store.) Sometimes, they even have great furniture pieces. The only downside, is more and more people are shopping here, so if you don't go on delivery days, your shot at getting first pick is slim. read more

I love this Marshals. I love all Marshals but I feel blessed (and cursed) to live so close to this one. The lines are sometimes crazy and the customer service sucks. But hey its Marshals and its so worth it after you have saved a bunch of money on your favorite goodies. read more

Ended up buying a shirt but had to take it back because it was undersized from what it was marked...I should have tried it on at the store but was in a hurry. I normally shop at Marshall's closer to me but sometimes when I'm in San Ramon I will stop in here and every time I do there is a purse alarm going off. No one does anything about it I guess that noise just goes all day? It's always this store and employees never fix it. Went to Dublin Marshalls to bring back pet dog bed. Had washed the zipperable cover and it shrank, so expected no problem. Manager, Alex was very obstinate in that it had been washed couldn't be returned. Said how am I to use this when it no longer fits the cushion. I found one exactly like it on the floor and just requested a credit. He said he would call customer service, came back and said they weren't there. Proceeded to give me that number and told me to call today. The number constantly rings busy( and look up said is India number. Why put someone in charge when he cant even give customer satisfaction. I planned to purchase other items, but left very annoyed. He obviously has no clue how to be a manager and should be removed. Whenever you leave the store, your suppose to be feel happy and good wirh all of your new finds. Every time I leave the store being helped by LAURI. I leave the store feeling even worst then coming to the store. She's nice to you when you buy so many things, but when you return she''s like airport security. I had my receipt and it was within 30 days. She told me the boxes were open and all beat up, but I brought them like that. How can I open it when the sensor tapes are over the box? Everytime you buy something from this store, look over your items and make sure they re not damage. They give you so much trouble when you come back to return it. I even wanted to return the meringue lemon cookies, but I found another flavor I like. Never open, she was trying to open the box. I even ask the store associate before purchasing, can I return this.
