I talked to the owner, Le, and said it wasn't to my satisfaction and he was willing to alter it for no additional charge. I have been to other seamstresses who will charge for additional alterations if you are dissatisfied with their service. Although the alterations were higher than other tailor shops I have gone to, their customer satisfaction compensates for it.

Ive never had any issues coming to this location. I didnt find what I went for but I definitely found some nice clothing articles and flat shoes. Im not a fan of looking/searching through miscellaneous racks of clothes. It just annoys me. I managed to do such today for a few minutes not long and was out. He introduced me to Craig who was super helpful right when I walked in. I walked in wanting a suit and left with suit, shirt, tie, and picking up shoes when I grab my suit after tailoring. He had a great eye for style and had me feeling great about my purchase after leaving. After dealing with him I'm thinking this will be my new place for all of my clothes. Updated version Hi All,…read more  I know that everyone is different & everyone has a different notion about suits & what to buy.   But, if you need and are looking for a new suit and you are not an off the rack fit or perhaps you like made to measure (MTM) suits that are well constructed (full or half canvas) and that fit well, then please consider Art Solop of Benchmark Clothiers.     Art is a very nice friendly gentleman who knows his business & he offers very good MTM suits at reasonable prices.     I've tried to have MTM suits made by highly rated online vendors & even at one vendor at a brick & mortar location in D.C. and they can't compete in quality, amount of customization & fit. He can do almost anything from different types of pockets to styling to various linings and other many varied customizations all at the same price.  He doesn't even charge differently for different fabrics unlike many others.   My father was a custom suit fitter for Barneys NY and then for a custom uniform company in NYC for many years & he taught me all he knows about how a suit should fit. That's made me pickier than most when it comes to suits, how they fit and their construction for better or for worse. So believe me when I tell you that Art Solop is good & his suits are really well made. He is knowledgeable about Shatnez and has ascertained from his manufacturer assurances that his wool suits do not contain any linen.  Of course this is not a guarantee and I am not advising anyone not to have their clothing checked.   I highly recommend trying Art and Benchmark Clothiers for your next MTM suit or shirt. He can help with off the rack suits as well for about $400.00 inclusive of pants finishing - hem or cuff). Unfortunately had a terrible experience with Benchmark Clothiers. After the initial…read moreconsultation/down payment, I was informed that the suit would take 5-7 weeks to be ready. After not hearing any updates by the 7 week mark, I called and was informed it would be another 3 weeks. 2 Weeks later (total of 9 weeks of production time), I was told the suit was ready for pick up. After going in to pick up the suit, the suit was not made to my specifications with multiple discrepancies based on what I remember discussing at the initial design. I was also told the detail sheet we worked on was now proprietary information that I was not allowed to see anymore, so I had no way to show it was what we discussed. No solution was reached to remediate these discrepancies, and left with no suit and out the down payment. I will say the suit was a nice suit, but I was paying good money for a Custom suit to my specifications, not just a nice suit.

The backpacks that I looked at were a bit larger and heavier than what I am looking for. I perused several sandals and the first pair of Teva sandals I saw were ginormous. The sandals look like they were swallowing my feet. The sandals at this retailer are likely meant more for practicality and comfort rather than their style. I found a second pair of Teva sandals that weren't as wide and fit my feet better. They are not the cutest, but they felt comfortable when I tried them on. The staff are amazing. I was greeted by three employees. The first one greeted me when I entered the store. The second one asked if I needed anything when I passed by him while I was shopping. The last one Krissy asked if I needed help when I was looking at the sandals. Krissy informed me about their lifetime membership which cost $30 and their current $30 new member bonus card which you get with a $50 purchase. Bank with an extremely friendly staff and the store is well kept. Unfortunately the store seems to be understaffed at all times. I've been in twice to get fitted for a new suite and both times I had to wait in excess of one hour. Maybe it's just bad luck on my part, however management should consider properly staffing the store. The last time I was in the store (today 08/14/2019) there was one gentleman and the taylor. The one gentleman did his best to manage having 7 different customers in the shop, however it was a failure. Jose. A. Bank is typically an outstanding organization however if possible I'd say try another location where they properly staff the store. I won't be back to the Columbia location on account of the extremely long wait.
