What is wrong with this store. The employees are super nice but the Manager himself name: Omar is definitely not customer friendly. I hope corporate handles these things. So during the weekend I came in with my girlfriend and I found an item that is pretty well known throughout places like sephora, macy, nordstrom....etc. and this item did not have a price tag on it and I came to Omar and they way he handled it was not okay. He stated himself that this was an expensive brand and that he couldn't sell it to me because that was the only one left and it did not have a price tag. Came in 15 mins before closing.. And left disappointed. One of the employees named Aza refused to open the lock so I can purchase one of their bags. I asked politely, excuse me I choose the bag I want to get, can you unlock so I can get it, she replied sorry we're closed, with a smile. I understand it's 9:30 but I was looking for 15 minutes before I decided to make a purchase. i'm not usually in glendale but i had to swing by and along the way i noticed this marshalls. so after i finished my bidness in the area i thought hmmm let me track down that marshalls, be a little more late for where ever i was going next, and see what they have! store is clean, decently organized, and had a fair enough selection of men's basic stuff. i found some cute penguin shirts but convinced myself i really don't need them since i really don't need them. though still, that did take me some convincing! they were cute and ALMOST cheap enough that i almost bought them. (btw the beverly connection store has much better designer stuff. here... it's all just fair basics.) but regardless of saving some money on penguin shirts by NOT buying them, i ended up blowing $300 on some samsonite spinner luggage that i'm not actually sure if i need but it was SO pretty and cool that i thought i'm going to buy this set of 3 pieces (20", 24", 28" cases with spinner wheels... that all nested into each other), to put it out there in the universe that i deserve a great trip somewhere. you know, like somewhere other than glendale. anyway i bought this luggage. of course checked the prices online afterwards and during. these pieces are going for like $200-$275 EACH and i got all 3 for $300 total. so i'm a happy camper / potential traveler. even though right now i have nowhere to go to use my fabulous new luggage! ps -- here's a super duper useful hint to save up to 20% if you go to marshalls often. buy a discounted gift card for them online. you know -- gift cards or store credits people don't want and have sold to a gift card exchange. check giftcardzen.com or raise.com which are legit verified site. great simple way to save. which is why my luggage at $300 that i didn't need.... cost me even less at $255 net! read more

I've only been here a couple times but I give it 4 stars cause of the great clearance section. I found a mini lecreuset baking dishe for $5.50! This place is nice because it's also next to a homegoods. There's free 90 minute parking in the structure behind the store. Line was long but it went fast. Omar, the store manager provided me with beyond excellent customer service today. He was very nice and kind from the moment I called in, up until the end of the transaction. His staff upon walking in all greeted with smiles and the look of the store is excellent. Thank you to Marshalls for selecting such a great store manager. So excited! 3rd day after opening and the place looks great! I was super impressed with how many associates they had working because it helped keep the store extremely clean and organized even with a huge crowd inside! Every single associate greeted me and were all super friendly, even the big buff security guy at the front door ;) So far this place gets 2 thumbs up! I wanted to leave 0 stars but this is the best I can do. I came here on 9/26/2022. I had just received a gift card from my job. I went to the cash register and the cashier did not know how to scan my gift card. I overheard her supervisor say that the cashier was already shown how to do this task. The supervisor's attitude automatically changed when she saw me. I felt discriminated against immediately by her disapproving looks. This supervisor proceeds to tell me that they cannot accept my gift card and that I needed an ID. The gift card did not include my name whatsoever. I told the supervisor this and she proceeds to tell me that it is a new policy. I was livid. I decided to leave my items and ending up accepting this so called new policy. Much to my dismay... I was told that this is not the policy at Marshalls and I was able to redeem the gift card at another location with no use of my ID. I'm just gonna say it. Total racist vibes at that location. 4 stars for the amount of high end designer shoes they had, 3 for the rest - not so much designer clothes. I'm not a big fan of picking over racks and racks of discounted clothing, I tend to start feeling dizzy and sick, idk why. I guess I like the minimal set up. Anywho, walked in on a Friday evening out of curiosity after reading all the reviews. Yes, they did have Gucci, Prada, YSL, and such, but the shoes were micro-mini sized. I'm assuming they were the shoes that were on display at the stores, and they were not last seasons, looked more like a few seasons old. The discount was okay, I've actually seen better at Nordstrom. Some shoes were regular $800-$1,000 and they were marked down from $300-$500. The clothes did not impress, they had a rack of Michael Kors, Seven, etc but the clothes didn't catch my attention. I did find some Rag & Bone jeans but of course they were the smallest size known to man kind. Like any other discount store, it's a hit or miss. I wish I would have found something worth my visit. Wow! What an organized store if I've ever seen one! In addition to that, tons of high end brands to chose from. I stopped in to get some underwear and some home essentials, get this.... Ralph Lauren towels $8 and they carried all my favorites... D&G, Papi, and Freegun underwears! I noticed there was tons of designer shoes for women, not that I bought any, but browsing for my girlfriend. It's surrounded by tons of great places to eat, and a few parking structures nearby. This bi-level Marshall's offers the same departments as all other Marshall's. However, what sets this one apart is the really good selection of women's shoes. Additionally, their home department is great too, offering a variety of home decor items. I really do miss the Borders bookstore that once occupied this place, but this Marshall's is welcoming in this spot and in this area. Your best bet for parking without encroaching on another business' parking is the parking structure at the Marketplace behind the Marshall's - it is affiliated with the store. They offer free 90 minute parking. read more

Wow for the selection of designer shoes at this marshalls. Purses selection is not as fancy.

This is my "go to" Marshall's. I've gone to a lot of the Marshall's and TJ Maxx's around this area and this one surpasses them all. The place is always clean and almost everything is on a shelf or rack like it's supposed to be. I've only seen two articles of clothing on the floor the many times I've gone. Also, the clothes are in the right sections more often than not (small, med, large, etc), which is fantastic because there is nothing worse than finding a cute top and having it be a small when you were looking in the large section. I will say though that there is a VERY small collection of dresses. Like, abnormally small. I don't get it. You're lucky if you find a single rack of just dresses. Also, the organization of the beauty products area needs a lot of help. It doesn't look awful, but things are just put on shelves in a mostly haphazardly way and not grouped like they should be, which is such a contrast from the rest of the store. But even with these in mind, it is still lengths ahead of the other stores like it in the area. Plus you cannot beat the 90 minutes free parking in the garage behind the store as Glendale parking can be a nightmare so close to the Americana. Additionally, there are other shops like DSW Shoes and Homegoods right in the vicinity so it's a nice discount shopping area. read more

Horrible customer service. The selection of home items and decor is fantastic but terrible customer service. Made the error of coming in 15 minutes before closing, went to ring up my 3 items with a friend. The way the lanes were numbered from highest to lowest was weird, I got called to cashier 1 and it took me a while to register the way the lanes were numbered until I was rudely told, "It's down there. One is at the beginning of the numbers." I appreciate that one employee was concerned enough about by math skills to provide me with a complimentary basic mathematics lesson and knew how to count well enough to teach a quick lesson to me despite the lanes not going from a more logical lowest to highest sequence starting at the front of the line. However, I recommend that the one employee that so "kindly" directed me to the lane would also perhaps help her fellow cashier's math skills such as dividing fairly simple numbers in half. My friend and I wanted to split the items 50/50 since half of the items we bought were mine. We asked with no sudden tone or malice intent if we could split the payment 50/50 in to which we were met with a prompt and rude "Uhmm... no." The cashier at Lane 1 gave our request some thought and decided that dividing the amount of $14.14 in half was far too complex to handle. I get it, you're in retail. You want to go home, your shift is almost over. You probably deal with tons of personalities during your shift but the lack of humanity or professionalism during this transaction is rather unnerving considering that I didn't know this person nor did I give attitude to this person, her response was extremely uncalled for. read more

The manager/cashier discussed my purchase/return/and likely me in a foreign language, which was extremely awkward and made me feel helpless. How unprofessional is that? This is not some corner mom-and-pop butcher shop--this is a NATIONAL RETAIL CHAIN! Interestingly, the same person that sold me the item remembered me when I returned, but acted like I was attempting some type of criminal behavior. Is that the reason for not speaking English to the manager in my presence??? SO UNPROFESSIONAL! A customer should NEVER never endure embarrassment because of the ineptitude of employees. Bejapers and Begorrah, as they say in Ireland when experiencing great joy, so many wonderful things to choose from at ridiculously low prices; usually even cheaper than that store I will not name to avoid getting my review tossed out, but their logo contains an image resembling a target. I haven't been to any Marshall's except the Glendale one, which I work near, but I would probably travel a decent distance to one of the other ones because I am 1005 sure they're all great. This Marshall's has a good selection fro men and women. Rummaging through the shelves is a treasure hunt, they don't have a lot of size small clothes though. I've been on other Marshall's this one is clean and well spaced. read more

I love this location because they have a great variety of items. Everything you need and want they have. The employees are super friendly and are very professional! I needed help with choosing clothes from the men's department and Angel was there to assist me. She helped me with sizes and helped me decide on what to buy for my dad and brother. I truly appreciated her assistance and her professionalism. She knew exactly what I wanted and assisted me until I was done! I can not thank her enough! Today, I returned a sweater - unworn, tags off but in the pocket - because it was too big. Also returned two other items, tags attached. All items on same receipt. Clerk rudely accused me of having worn the sweater. Then she called over a manager who did the same...all because the tags were off. Their inspection and questioning took 5 minutes. They picked at the collar, at loose yarn, even snifdes it. I cannot help but think it was due to a tinge of racism since the sweater was literally unworn and in the same condition as when I bought it. I will be sticking to my closer Marshalls in Pasadena, which has consistently had great customer service. read more

I enjoy shopping at this Marshall's because I always find good items here. I'm a bargain shopper therefore I always check the clearance racks. I noticed that this Marshall's tends to mark down their items faster than other Marshall's for the same item, or give bigger discounts than other stores, which is why I come back. Like many reviewers have mentioned, the store can be disorganized, which makes treasure hunting more difficult. I would say my best finds here are contemporary clothing on clearance. Sometimes they also have luxury designer shoes too even though this location doesn't have The Runway. If you want good high end makeup, I recommend the Marshall's on Hollywood Blvd. There's a structure at this location where you can park for free for the first 90 minutes, which sucks because I like to take my precious time shopping/hunting. Assistant manager was the most unfriendly staff member I have ever met. I love Marshall's but this was the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I unfolded a shower curtain (that I planned on buying) and then the assistant manager with short blonde hair walks by and condescendingly stared at me and said "well what can I say?" As i folded it back up, she just continued to stand there until I walked to the checkout line to make the purchase. She was extremely disrespectful and as an assistant manager, she should have handled it in a more professional manner. I am highly disappointed and I will NOT be coming back. read more

TJ Maxx owns Marshall's and they have ridiculously restrictive return policies. Ross Stores returns are much easier. How customer unfriendly is to not be allowed to return a defective hair dryer bought at a Marshall's in Studio City to the Marshall's in Glendale?! I had purchased it the same day and had the receipt! They made me drive back to return it to their store in Studio City! I emailed TJ Maxx to complain and asked them would they have made me fly back to NYC if I had bought a defective electronic product there that I discovered after returning home to LA? Their answer was that I could pay to ship it to their headquarters in another state instead of allowing me the courtesy and convenience of returning it to any Marshall's store! I give my business to Ross whenever I can instead of TJ Maxx and Marshall's because Ross treats its customers MUCH better! They gave many of the same products anyway and Ross is usually less expensive too. read more

Called into question if I had used merchandise I was trying to return, which I understand, but when I stated I hadn't and shown that the item smudges without use, which was the issue in question they still did not accept it. Needing a metal space saver shelf for the bathroom, I knew Marshalls in Hollywood has them so I went to this Glendale location as I am closer to this one. But, they didn't have any. Poo. NO, I don't want your stinking Marshall's Credit Card at 37% interest!!! Besides the fact they offer you this credit card every darn time you use the shop, it's not bad. I love the shoe section!! I was planning to find a pair of gray high top converse, but instead I found a better one that's light gray w/ a zipper on the side....it's so cool and hipster chic style! And it was only for $25.00 compared to the original price $60.00... and the fragrance section was awesome because I saw the one direction perfume for only half price, but it's weird how they put it in the men's fragrance section LOL. The marc jacob "honey" perfume was kind of the same price as u find in sephora that sucks....and the clothes are kind of price-y because the flannels I saw were like $16 and that's kind of like regular prices u find at other stores.... but the price might go down if you just wait for Marshalls....There's free 90 min. parking at the "Marketplace Public Parking" read more
