We were impressed with the quality of items, the prices and the variety of colors and sizes. We also found the Attendant who was manning the changing rooms area to be very professional and helpful when we were looking for alternate sizes. I have to say I was very impressed with Nordstrom Rack and will definitely be adding it to my list of places to shop in Jacksonville.

There are no mirrors in personal changing room only in common area. So I stepped out to see the fit of a dress I tried on, came back and my personal clothes along with store pieces were collected without me knowing. I asked around and the employees returned them to me including a shirt that was the wrong size from what I originally picked out. (Which was the only item I ended up wanting to buy). Since it was the wrong size they offered to have the right size delivered to me but not informing me of the additional shipping costs. In the end having my clothes taken and paying more than what I originally planned ruined my first experience shopping here.

I've purchased four or five shirts here by looking for deals. I wear them all the time. But I also give a ton of credit to sales team here. Todd, Tara, and Macy are three of the best clothing sales reps out there. They look out for the customers, help us find deals, and keep the store exceptionally clean. I will say their prices are similar to Vineyard Vines not far down the street from Southern Tide. But again, ask the staff where the sales area is located and that is a good place to start. But don't hesitate to get a new item if that's what you prefer! It seems they get new clothing to sell here frequently. Our active duty and retired military members will also be happy to hear that this store offers 20 percent discounts on all clothing, to include sales items too. It's great incentive to shop here! I told her that I was going to Hawaii and needed a simple, classic black swimsuit. She immediately took me to prints. I said that black was what I wanted, so she took me to black. I also said that I was a fan of Bleu|Rod Beattie (sp?) because I had previously purchased a few suits from that line at Swim 'n Sport. Instead of letting me browse, Debra kept inserting her suggestions into my line of view. Some I liked, some I didn't. She continued to take me to the printed suits. I continued to say they weren't my taste. This was starting to get annoying. I finally chose a print to appease her. When I started in the fitting room, I knew immediately which suits were and were not right. With a suit on, I called to her and asked if there was a bottom that fit a bit higher. The other salesclerk (who was standing behind the counter) said I needed to come out to show them what I was wearing. I refused. (Mind you, she wanted me to walk out of the dressing room where I would be exposed to ANYONE walking past outside the store whilst clad in a bikini that was unflattering). She insisted. Again, I refused. At this point, she was annoyed. Needless to say, at this point I was annoyed as well. I tried on a few pieces and all the while Debra continued to show me pieces that I had already browsed (and politely refused). She never truly LISTENED to me and was obviously trying to upsell me at every turn. THIS MADE ME VERY IRRITATED. ***Because they have a no return policy on swimwear, I began to feel like she wanted me to make impulse purchases on pieces that weren't really my style.*** In the end, there was a suit that I very much liked from Skye, but honestly, I just didn't want to purchase anything from this store. Their shoes are "cool" and make a style statement. Though I'm not sure my feet can take them! And don't talk to me about those backpacks Van's sells! I desired one badly! If these were photography backpacks I would have gotten one! But I did leave there on this day with a pretty "cool" Van's ball cap that is fashionable wear in summer time. Van's isn't a huge by any means, but they just sell good stuff! I am fascinated every time I visit. My friend picked up a nicely designed boonie cover (well, that's what we called them back in my deployment days) and an awesome off white pair shorts. Now, the staff that helped us on this day was one of the best I've experienced in a clothing shop. From enthusiasm, to answering questions, ensuring we get the best discounts, and helping us to sign up for their rewards/app, etc., I was extremely impressed. There is a welcoming atmosphere here and I'd sure enjoy coming back anytime. I really don't think prices at Van's are overly high when compared to other outlets of its type at Town Center. However, if you want better value for your dollars, ask about their discounts on the day you shop here and sign up for the rewards.
