DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOE CITY! I would leave a negative review if I could. The manager Mr. Sisira was rude and not honoring my $50 gift card I had just bought from there. He was condescending and has no customer service skills. He was watching me the second I walked into the store like I was going to steal something and then treating me like I did something wrong with the gift card. I was so upset and did this in front of my 11 year old daughter. I even had the receipt and still treating me like I was nothing. I will never ever support this store location again. It is one thing to have something wrong with the gift card, but the way he treated me was outrageous. Do better Shoe City with who you have run your stores. Do not go here. I was prepared to buy five pairs of shoes--two sandals, a workout pair, and possibly two pairs of work shoes. As a 43-year-old woman, I was trying to make thoughtful decisions while trying on different styles and sizes. However, the man working there was hovering over me the entire time, which made the experience uncomfortable. While sitting on the bench trying to choose, he suddenly raised his voice at me, insisting I try on every shoe in front of its display section. When I explained that I needed to see all the shoes together to decide, he told me my behavior was "unacceptable." I was shocked by how rude and unprofessional he was. Unfortunately, I had already spent quite a bit of time and needed one of the pairs for work, so I reluctantly made one pair. Felt watched the entire time I was in here with my sons by whom I assume was the owner. Overall was a less than friendly environment. Selection is decent for kids and prices are average. Asked for ID for credit card which is fine I guess but when tap pay didn't go through twice, owner seemed annoyed and mannerisms toward me seemed as if it was stolen because he asked my name again after just checking my ID. I do not recommend Shoe City. I went into the Stanton location to do some school shoe shopping and the store manager had just mopped the entire store during business hours. I slipped and hurt my back pretty bad from trying to catch myself. I reported the incident to their corporate office, who sent me two Shoe City debit cards. I tried using those debit cards today at this location in Los Alamitos and they said they couldn't help me. The cards wouldn't work! I'm so annoyed by the lack of customer service. Why give me something I can't even use? I'll never shop here for any shoes again! To have two awful experiences back to back is unacceptable. read more

Not worth coming here when other places have better service and shoes. My wife came in to buy my son some new shoes for him to wear after school. He's never had converse before so the size he usually gets for his crocs was way too big and when he tried them on he didn't like the way they felt with the extra room. When I got off work I brought them back, literally the same day, less than 3 hrs. They wouldn't honor their own return policy telling me they weren't the same shoes and they were old. To me that seems like a pretty bad way of doing business. If you take away anything from this review, just know that they don't honor their return policy and the value you get is terrible considering it's full price and final sale. read more

The manager advised me they do and pointed toward the aisle. I spent another 15 minutes searching, but still couldn't locate them. Bought a pair Hoka shoes for my girlfriend. She tried them on in the store. Wore them home. Then next day she wore them around her house and they gave her leg cramps. She put them back in the box and tried to return them for a different style. The Shoe City employee said it was STORE POLICY not to take returns on shoes that have been worn. Doesn't matter that they were only worn less than one day. Shoes still were new. If this is indeed Shoe Citys policy then NEVER BUY anything from them. Would give no stars if I could. I was trying to exchange a pair of shoes for my wife since she needed a half size bigger. They didn't have them at this store or any other local store so I asked for a refund. I had the wrong receipt in the box and the guy was flat out rude about it. I questioned his business approach and lack of customer service and he told me to get out of his store. I said I would leave once you hand me my shoes. He said he was the owner but I doubt it. I was going hiking at the Hollywood sign and all I wanted was some cheap sneakers. The most I was willing to pay was $30. When I walked in there was a woman standing right by the door and said nothing to me. No hello or how can I help you? I went straight to the sale area which is close to the door. They call those sales? Everything was 50+ for shoes that needed to be $15-$20. I left the sale area and I decided to take a little browse. At this point I went to a lot of other stores and I made shoe city my last resort. Then they have converse going for $60+ when you can get them at marshals for $15-$20. And the rest of the selection was either ugly or not worth the amount asked for. When I left the establishment I walked right past the lady and still nothing. I went to other shoe city,but this shoe city is better. Customer service was very good. One sale associate helped us and she is very nice. As soon as we come in they greeted us and asked us if we need any help. It was an easy shopping for me and my kids because the lady helped us a lot, from measuring my kids foot and to find the right shoes. I love this shoe city very organized. I bought a pair of Nike basketball shoes for my son. He wore these a total of 7 times for indoor basketball only. During his game and while he was running, the sole literally came undone and had breaks throughout the rubber. We only buy Nikes and this is the first time this has happened. Shoe City referred me to their corporate office and Rafael was absolutely no help. As big a store as they are, a replacement was not offered because it was "over the 30 day warranty." We have Nikes that are years old and I explained that these just looked as though they were defective. Inside the shoe it also had written... Nike Better World.com and inside the shoe size states it is a 2.5 when my son is a true 4.5. I only had him try these because they looked bigger. Long story short, I will no longer shop at Shoe City. The least they could do was offer a credit of some sort but Rafael spoke like a Robot and kept with "it's beyond 30 days."
