I enjoy coming to this store, except for today. A very rude customer service lady from the dressing room area. Kept looking at me like I was trying to sell something. 5 stars for the staff at this location. They're amazing. Always helpful and so kind. The store on the other hand - is hot garbage. This Marshall's pales in comparison to the ones in "nicer" areas - and that makes me sad. Virtually no beauty section and no accessories. The home / decoration section is empty shelves and a hodgepodge of mixed seasonal items. The clothing section is equally terrible and offers nothing remotely nice. It makes me really sad. Actually how bad the Marshalls are in metro Detroit overall. Some slightly better than this one, but not by much. When I go to the Marshalls and T.J. Maxx is in the Ann Arbor area, they are much nicer and much cleaner. They also have the designer sections and variety and high end bags. read more

I admit, I came here because of TikTok. Stupid HalloweenTok with the stupid ghost rug. It was my first time coming into a Marshalls and while I wasn't super impressed, I didn't leave disappointed. It's been mentioned several times that this is a smaller Marshalls, which I can believe. This was a fairly small store. The store is very disorganized and ill-kempt. The displays had no rhyme or reason, products were basically thrown around, and the store felt dirty. I would compare shopping here to visiting a thrift store; it took some digging and searching, but I was able to find a few gems. They had some cute Halloween and fall decor and some great deals on clothes, but unfortunately I wasn't able to find that darned ghost rug! I had pretty limited interactions with the staff, but the two cashiers I spoke with were super friendly and very helpful. I would definitely go back again to deal hunt. read more

I noticed a very COMMON move at USA Marshall's stores They get 2,3,4 (today it was at one point 6!) employees milling around the cash area, only one on the register. They don't want to serve/cash out customers , they avoid any eye contact and give absolutely zero care or interest in the 8,9,14 people waiting in line... bad mgmt Don't see it much in Toronto, Buffalo and Detroit they have the best SLACKERS money can buy! read more

So impressed with this location! I found everything that I needed, everything was organized, and the place was clean! I had my two young babies with me, and since the carts don't go outside, the cashier walked my bags out to my car for me! Who says customer service is DEAD?! I randomly popped into this Marshall's a few weeks ago after attending an event nearby. I found a lucky brand shoe that I absolutely adored BUT I couldn't find the other shoe. I asked the team member in the fitting rooms about it and they reached out to another team member who searched all of the shoe aisles for me and grabbed another team member to also look. They also searched the back and one of the managers ended up inquiring on what I was looking for. She was apologetic and took my name and number just in case it showed up the next day. Well I got a call including a voicemail over a week later b/c they found it and were holding it for me. I wasn't sure when I would get back that way so didn't return the call however I randomly ended up in the area 4 days after the call so figured I'd see if I could find them on the shelves - unfortunately they weren't there. I decided to ask someone just in case it may be on hold still. Get this...they still had the shoes on hold for me!!!! Thank you Nunu and the rest of the team. Both times going into this store I felt extremely welcomed with stellar customer service. They also have a great selection although it is on the smaller side for a Marshall's store. read more

As others have noted this is a smaller store and not quite as nice as other Marshall's. I wanted to return something purchased elsewhere and of course you can't go in without looking around. I found a few Christmas presents and a few things 'I needed'. The checkout line was long and slow, just not enough cashiers. But when I got up to my cashier she was competent and friendly and got me out of there quickly. One item didn't have a price and she called back - the worst case scenario - but the info came back in a jif, and the price was better then it should have been. We both noted the low price but she said 'what the heck' and sent it through. Thanks for the extra super bargain! I'll go there again if that's the area I'm in, but this won't be my go to place. read more

Do not shop here it's a mess!! I have never felt so gross in a store. Every display is cluttered and not well maintained. The floors look like they have never seen a mop. The employees are disgruntled and obviously don't want to be there. Don't ask them a question, they will grunt and carry on. The check out lane is the slowest i have ever seen and don't acknowledge you once it's your turn. No thank you. Not worth it. read more

Marshall's is a crap shoot. Sometimes you hit bargain gold, sometimes you roll snake eyes. The adventure is part of the allure of the place. The particular location is a little below par compared to other Marshall's I've been to. The housewares department was pretty good, but other departments were disorganized. read more

There are very kind people who work here. It's nice to see that, so I will always return to this Marshall's for my shopping needs. I hope that the staff knows that they may feel unappreciated at times, but someone did notice their goodness more than once. read more

This is a very hit and miss Marshalls. Although I know you do have to dig through the crap to find the treasure this particular location is a little smaller and more disorganized than other Marshalls stores. read more

Lines are always long and super SLOW! They don't care how long they make you wait. Never enough cashiers! Horrible. I shop here often because it's close to my work. They need to fix this. read more

I was at Marshall store on 12 and Dequindre to return a suit that was bought just s few days ago. It had all the tags intact and had a receipt as well. Lady at the register starts checking the suit and ask another clerk to verify, she then calls a manager I asked what the problem was - no answer. Later manager calls me out saying "are you stupid". I was upset when she said that. Then she says let me call another store. I kept asking what's taking so long and then she goes " I will not take this suit back because you are arguing ". Really !!! Is that the reason you don't take returns. Is that store policy. She was very rude and not helpful at all. Customer service comes first. You listen to customers not talk back to them. Very bad customer service. I am not going to name them. That's not good. Hopefully they will understand and realize how important customers are. We as customers are the one who pay their checks. I like shopping at Marshalls. I go just about every week. One bad experience is not going to stop me from shopping at Marshalls. I will take my business at other Marshalls and T j Maxx I just want to give my 2 cents of my experience. I know they will deny everything I said because that just human nature. Maybe they were having a bad day but it was about 11 in the morning. I don't say bad things and on social media but this experience deserves a mention. I am sorry about the long message.
