Just left Martells. Horrible customer service. Jessie is great. Unfortunately, it was her day off. Went in at 8 am. One of their machines was not working. Girl at desk said 4-5 pm pick up. Showed up at 5. The other girl says they'll be ready tomorrow at 5. Beware. Make sure you look at ticket for what day they will be ready. So upset. Picked up a couple of pieces. It would have been fine if she wasn't so rude. I told her its the way you speak makes a person react and speak harshly. It did not faze her. Maybe, she gets told that several times a day. Worst dry cleaning service I've been to!! The previous dry cleaning place closed down due to COVID so I came here to wash my dress shirts. I've had my custom made dress shirts washed for over 2 years so I know I had no problem with shrinking. The next closest place was Martells cleaners so I bring most of my work dress shirts here. When I finally came to pick them up I tried them on and what do you know THEY SHRUNK SO MUCH! I couldn't even button the sleeves anymore. I go back to complain that my custom dress shirts shrunk like crazy and the Co-owner tells me that could never happen ..... Luckily, I had one dress shirt I didn't get washed by Martells so I bring it with me to show them how my dress shirt looks like when I didn't get it washed from here. Fits perfectly. Even with the proof that Martells shrunk my clothes they kept going on about it being impossible they shrunk it. My point is if you don't want your nice clothes to be ruined I Suggest you find somewhere else. I don't usually complain but this was unreal! read more

I took three shirts, one pants and a tie in on Saturday and all of them came out nice. My main reason for coming here was because this place has been in the business for like 50 years...so it has to be good, right? Really, I was hoping that they could remove a water stain on my silk tie, but even after having it run through here, it was still there. But, the shirts and pants all looked brand spankin' new! I realize that ties are the hardest things to clean and I've never come back with a cleaned tie to my satisfaction. I was slightly disappointed because a collar stiffener was missing in one of the shirts and I didn't realize it until I was already home hanging my clothes back inside the closet. I hate having to replace them, but I've learned to always remove them whenever you're having them cleaned and just put them back on before you wear the shirt. The location is completely stand-alone on South Street in Artesia right next to Artesia Community park and across the street from Pep Boys. The price for a shirt and pants are 2 bucks apiece. Ties are $1.50. My total bill came out to be $9.50. Thankfully, they accept credit cards (no AMEX or Discover). Now, I just need the girl to correct the spelling of my last name on their system. She typed it in wrong, and I saw her press an "I" instead of an "E" even though I said, "A, M, A, N, S, E--I said "E"--" "Okay, "E"" "E, C." And what was it when I looked at my receipt? Amansic. We've been bringing our clothes here for at least the past couple years. My family came into town this week and my parents kept pushing me to get my bridal gown cleaned and boxed while they were here as a gift. (Ahem, I got married over a year ago!) I priced out some other places and it was quite a bit of money for the cleaning and box. Since "Father knows best" he told me to just call the place I usually go to and get a quote. It was a $100 cheaper than other places but I was a little nervous dropping off my $4500 gown there. I had absolutely nothing to worry about! The turn around time was a few days and they did an absolutely STUNNING job! The dress looks brand new and they boxed it after I inspected my gown and gave the thumbs up. I spoke to the owner for awhile and he was great. He mentioned they clean the uniforms of police officers and firefighters in the area as well. Hey, if it's good enough for them, it's good enough for me! The girls have always been sweet and professional. Adriana helped me on the phone and called me back as I was writing this review to let me know I had forgotten the belt! I didn't wear the belt that came with the gown (I wore a different one but I digress...). If she hadn't had called me I would never have known! Not only did they mess up my suit having all the latches ripped off but the lady had me take it in right away the same day I called with the problem to supposedly have a solution saying she will check with the owner to get possibly get it fixed and call back that evening. This all took place on a Monday. We received no call. Call Them Tuesday. She says owner just stepped out 5 min ago. She'll have him call back when he comes back later in the Evening. No call. Call Again on Thursday finally get a hold of the owner he was so rude saying he only has one girl and he can't give me an answer if he can fix my coat. This was my first time taking my suits to the dry cleaners and when I first walked in, I was helped immediately with no wait. As my ticket stated that it was going to be ready the next day, I was excited to pick it up but unfortunately misread their hours as they closed at 6:30PM than 6:00PM. However, Ajay was able to help my urgent need of a suit and was so kind in striking a conversation with me about the business and its history. Hoped to find a new cleaners near my home and went to Martell's. The woman didn't say hello or greet me at all. I was looking to dry clean my fairly new curtains. She immediately said there were holes all over the curtains, I didn't see ANY HOLES, then rudely insisted there were holes everywhere, and they were NOT responsible for any damage. I saw that there were NO holes at all! They're not even a year old. She then checks with the man in the tailoring area, whispers in front of me. Then comes back, as rude as could be for NO reason and said that'll be $20. Per panel! I said "NO way, that's crazy!" She just shoved them at me and I left. This is the worst customer service I have ever seen, I was super friendly and told her it was my first time there. She could not have been more rude and blatantly insulting if she tried. No one should EVER GO TO THIS CLEANERS!! I then washed them in cold gentle cycle, hung them to dry, and they are beautiful and not one hole or wrinkle. Worst cleaners ever!! read more

I notice this place has a few bad reviews, but my experience with them has been great. Ive been using them for a few years now with no problems or issues. Sure I only use them for my uniforms but still, I have only experienced good things with them. The girls who work there always greet with a smile and Im in and out of there pretty quick. There is always an older gentleman there (Im guessing Martel??) but I have never spoken or interacted with him. My kids enjoy the giant gum ball machine and all the vintage Disney memorabilia.
