The first bike had a broken gear shifter. The second bike they served us had a broken seat, to which they replaced the seat with a seat that had the cover cracked. Finally the trailer had a flat tire which we didn't discover until after we bikes a few miles. The guy also "cleaned" the trailer with a leaf blower. The bikes had enough gears to get you up and down the itty bitty hill on the way to the lighthouse. They also have a back pouch big enough to stow your bag. They include locks and helmets (required in MA for under 16) in the rental price. You could even take the ferry over to Martha's Vineyard if you plan better than we did (bikes need to be returned by 6pm).

The boss was standing right by the jacket in the window, which I easily could've taken down myself but now couldn't since we had to wait for the bosses permission. The boss chatted for at least five minutes while we were there and I just said let's go, I don't want to wait until she finishes her conversation.
