Got the Thai Style Wings and a Strawberry Spinach Salad. Salad was way over dressed, which is a shame because it was really nice otherwise. Definitely get dressing on the side, if get this one. We came here from World Cup/Fan Fest, preferring to continue watching the game seated and in air conditioned comfort. We were hungry too, and the menu was good and so was the food! At our table we had patty melt, burger, Italian grinder and Italian salad- all were excellent! My burger was flavorful and perfectly sized with perfect soft bun (right ratio of bread to meat). I recently visited this location because it was new and had a Christmas pop up going on. We were there on a Tuesday night and it was incredibly busy. If you're planning a visit, I highly recommend a reservation because the walk in wait list was over an hour. Fortunately, the crowd cleared out by around 9pm. There were several Christmas themed drinks and mocktails, adding to the holiday ambiance. The fancy hot chocolate was underwhelming and tasted like glorified powdered cocoa with a squirt of ready whip. When it comes to the food, portions were generous and the overall quality was good. However, they seemed to try a bit too hard with their sauces, giving everything a unique twist that didn't quite hit the mark for me. The honey mustard was unexpectedly spicy, the coleslaw deviated from traditional, and the tartar sauce was not tartar sauce but some type of dill sauce. In the end, we all resorted to requesting ranch to make our dipping enjoyable. The valentine's day pop up decor was elaborate and whimsical! A must do for anyone wanting a fun place to eat! As usual the food was incredible! Finally made it to enjoy the lunch special! A generous sized salad with an 8 inch pizza for $13.50 is a steal! This time, I enjoyed the Wildcard pizza! It definitely has some heat so avoid if you can't handle spice! I have been here a few times now and I feel like the wait staff provides excellent service but the hostesses seem like they could use more training. I told the hostess party of 4 and she looked lost about where to seat us despite there being multiple vacant tables for 4! :D. Martin City's pizza has always been a favorite of mine. I'm happy to have this new location so close. I went on a Sunday at lunch time and it was very easy to get a table. The place is nice, being newly renovated. We had the chicken spanakopita pizza which was solid. I ordered a lager beer to go with it That paired fine. It wasn't until after dinner that we saw the happy hour menu applies all day on Sundays. We would've ordered off the HH menu if we saw it so we're going to come back and take advantage of that. read more

This is such a fun way to enjoy holiday decor, a fun vibe, and the company of great friends! When we ordered red wine from the bar, one of the bartenders came over because she heard that we had been inquiring about bottles of red wines. She offered her advice about two different wines that we might enjoy, one that we saw on the menu and one that wasn't. We were also allowed to taste one of them, and after this tasting we were definitely sold on purchasing one of the wines that she suggested. This was such a fun atmosphere, to gather for our holiday gift exchange! They have a special menu of drinks, for the holiday season, so make sure to check that out and try one. The restaurant has a variety of food, from appetizers through dessert and everything in between. We enjoyed appetizers, entrées, and sides, as well as a bottle of wine. I came to Martin City specifically for their Big Christmas pop up-- immediately upon walking in the decor was so fun and decked out for Christmas! The cocktail menu had creative Christmas inspired drinks that we tried and we all liked what we ordered. We tried the fish and chips, which was pretty good and I enjoyed the dipping sauces. I especially enjoyed the Chicken Spanakopita pizza! I will say the service was a little slow that night but I can't fault them too much because there was a large bingo event happening at the same time that had the place absolutely packed. We were looking for a smash burger that wasn't Shake Shack and found that this new place in south plaza had one! Also had a side of mac and cheese and fries. The pictures online showed crinkle cuts but they were actually steak fries. They were good but the AC was up pretty high so they got cold fast. The Mac and cheese was basic but good. I'm always delighted when there are gluten free options, especially if they're clearly marked on the menu, however, the upcharge for gluten-free pizza crust or sandwich bread is the highest I've ever seen. I got the smashburger, which is supposed to come with pickles, onions, and their signature sauce - there were no pickles, a tiny sprinkle of onions, and a tiny smear of sauce. My wife is a member of their Mug Club so we got invited to their soft opening. I really like the location. Lots of parking nearby. We got sat on the patio. Really nice. Luckily it's a nice day out and not too hot. Our server Nadia is amazing. She asked us a little bit about our beer knowledge and expressed an interest in learning more. I gave her a link for the Beer Bible. Now for the food. We tried mostly all new items. Their cheese curds are tasty, especially with the pizza sauce. I got the Reuben Sandwich and I really love it. Maybe a tad thin for the price, but the flavor makes up for it. My wife got the Fish & Chios and again, delicious! Great happy hour specials and staff but it has been ridiculously cold in there the last 2 times I went in nice weather causing me to just want to leave because it's miserable. PLEASE turn down the AC it doesn't need to be blowing constantly. Last time I was wearing shorts and a tank because it was that 90 degree day so maybe that's on me but this time I had on jeans and a long sleeve tshirt and it wasn't enough with the AC running full blast for no apparent reason. read more

Tried Martin City with my twin brother for our birthday since it's within walking distance from my work. Pretty good! The service was great, both the host and the waiter were very nice. It was busy on a Friday so I recommend making a reservation. We tried the supreme pizza which was good, I'd come back for sure. I love this newer location! I'm a beer club member, so we eat at a Martin City at least once a month. I like that this location has additional menu items. Tonight we had the stuffed cheese bread. It's delicious! It's a hard decision to choose between that and the cheese balls for our appetizer! They have the best cherry limeade in KC! I have to have that and a Hardway every time. The decorations are great and it's a fun place to go, but I will not be back because the food is HORRIBLE!! I went with a group of 4 and we had 1 drink each, 2 appetizers, and 3 entrees. It was $200. The pizza is basically cardboard, the burgers look like run over McDonalds, the tacos are just hard pieces of meat with canned diced tomato on top, and the salad is atrocious. We went for lunch yesterday and everything was off.
