On top of that, there were hidden fees, including a labor tax and a 3% card fee, that were never mentioned until the final bill. We were under a budget so was hoping for a good price on replacing our carpet in the living room, dining room and hallway with luxury vinyl plank. Their quote was very reasonable and included replacement of the carpet with LVP in the two bedrooms in addition to the three areas I noted. We were also looking to replace our 2.5 inch baseboards so they were able to throw in new baseboards into their quote as well. The company is very flexible in scheduling the work - all they needed was two days notice. They were able to replace our floors in two days for a 1,000 sq ft condo. They also have a nice selection of LVP with options at various price points. Our floors had original hardwood and there were a couple of sunken areas in the subfloor which they were able to level out with concrete (fixing with plywood would have been more costly). The crew who came and worked in our home were nice and respectful and I was amazed at how efficient they were barely taking any breaks. Joao provided the quote visit and his two brothers came in and did the work. All of them were very communicative making sure I'd check certain areas to be sure I was ok with the work and answering any questions I had. In the end I am impressed with the floors and wish we replaced our carpet sooner. Dash floors with very communicative and will work with you within your budget.

Sean has come to my home on more than a few occasions over the last several years including this latest time - last week Monday. A year ago the chain on my Sears door opener snapped, so I called Sears thinking: who better to deal with this situation than the folks whose name appears on the device, right? Yeah, well, even though in years past Sears had come through for me on service calls for other units, this time they didn't. The tech that arrived informed me that he didn't have the correct size chain in his truck, and that the rail on my unit was shorter than the newest models. His suggestion? Upgrade the ENTIRE unit at a cost of $500+!! No way! A new chain and rail seemed similarly cost prohibitive. So, we agreed that he would sell me and install the longer chain and let's see how that worked. Turns out that it worked "okay" for over a year (the chain drooped awkwardly and clanged against my outer door when opening and closing though which was annoying) up until last week when the door wouldn't close properly, and it started to open/close sporadically. Not good for early morning winter departures! Rather than call Sears this time, my instincts told me to call Capital Garage Door. Great decision!! Sean arrived @ noon on Monday to assess the situation. Told me the chain was the problem. Told me a new chain and rail would cost me $265 and could be installed the next morning. His colleague "Talia" at their office called to confirm the order later that afternoon and sure enough that next morning @ 10a one of their techs installed a new chain + rail in under an hour and I'm in terrific shape once more! I SHOULD have called Capital Garage Door LAST YEAR instead of Sears and saved myself that $180. No more SEARS for me. I'm sticking with Capital Garage Door! Update 1/14/17 Garage door spring broke yesterday. Sean was prepared to come fix it yesterday, but my schedule wouldn't allow. He arrived as promised today before 8a... replaced both springs, $385. (I was advised that replacing both was the prudent approach giving the other one would likely breach shortly too and to avoid a second service charge when it did)

He also said since my unit was made in 2005, I would have to buy a new unit. It had to be Liftmaster and it would cost between $600 and $800. I said it was not in my budget that I would have to save up for it. I am angry because if I had the money I would have paid for something that I did not need. I decided to do some troubleshooting on my own when my friend assured me that the circuit was not fried. If it was fried, the motor would not work at all. It attempts to work and then gave 10 blinks. I got on youtube.com and I was able to determine the problem in less than 30 minutes, and I'me not even a garage door technician. The wiring that was connected to one of the sensors was loose, and the one connected to the motor was also loose. Eagle locksmith and Garage door came to the rescue. I only had to pay $75. I'm not sure if this is company policy to rip off hardworking people or Sean is just too lazy to make repairs. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!!!! If I had not been assured by someone that the circuits were not fried, I would have given them great reviews for doing a good job, not knowing that the job was not necessary!
