Very delicious food that has fresh ingredients and makes really well made sandwiches. Service is excellent and owners are nice and polite.

Based on the reviews my expectations were average, and i was excited to give this deli a try. I was certainly underwhelmed. I had the #34 panini - supposed to be chicken cutlet with pepper jack cheese, chipotle mayo, and avocado. What I got was grilled chicken with, what tastes like, a little regular mayo and lots of cheese (not complaining about that part!). The avocado was honestly a joke. I watched him cut a very small slice off of an avocado and the cut that slice into three smaller slices to place on the sandwich. This would all be maybe a three star experience if it weren't for the price. They vastly overcharge for what you get, which was mainly a pita and cheese with some chicken sprinkled in. Would not be an establishment I'd go to again unless they improve the quality of the menu. read more

Pandemics bring change. When Freshii near white Plains City Center discontinued their breakfast menu, I began exploring nearby (open) restaurants that served breakfast/brunch, and found Martine Gourmet Deli offered several omelet specials at reasonable prices, making them a good option to try in place of Freshii, being less than 2 blocks away. Since trying them last year, I've treated myself to their breakfast several times, most recently this morning. not only do they offer specials, but they can make to order dozens, if not hundreds of omelet combinations from fresh ingredients to order, and accompany them with lightly seasoned home fries made from real potatoes and veggies, also to order, to your desired crispness. Today I treated myself to a bacon, cheddar, tomato, peppers and onions omelet, with crispy home fries, which satsfied my taste buds, my appetite, and my budget. It wasn't perfect - the fries could have been crispier but it was really good. read more

Martine Gourmet Deli is absolutely spectacular! go in there and talk to David.. he made me one of the best, if not the best, party wedge I have ever had. And mind you, I've been to a lot of parties and I've eaten a lot of wedges from parties that were eh... The steak wedge with mushrooms onions and roasted peppers that David made me was out of this world!!! .. steak was cooked to order, onions and mushrooms and roasted peppers were perfect!! Everything was in the right amount and was on par with perfection for taste!! I strongly recommend you go there if you're having a party and serving a party wedge, and/or if you just wanna have a great lunch. Don't miss this one!! read more

Always 5 star for the best deli in all of White Plains. Even 4 years later. Today, it was home made meatloaf on Pane-de-casa toasted with garlic. Beyond belief, delicious. Worth every penny. I hate giving bad reviews-but this was by far the worst tuna melt I've ever had..it tasted like metal. I had my coworker try it too..agreed & said it had a weird aftertaste. I hate wasting food-but I ate 1/4 of my sandwich & had to throw it out. My coworkers sandwich was good. I'd probably try something else here, but NOT the tuna. Lesson learned! read more

To start, the food here is awesome. It's probably the best place to get a bagel, egg, and cheese in downtown White Plains. (I don't even know what they do with their eggs, but they're always light, fluffy, not at all greasy, and a perfect match for their perfectly chewy bagels.) And as a cherry on top, the service is quick, and the staff is friendly. It's definitely worth stopping in for a morning bite. read more

This used to be my go-to deli. Until I saw critters on the wall... Ignorance is bliss, right? I ignored what I had seen, and to my dismay when I visited this deli again I saw a critter crawling behind the counter (where they make and dish out their food). As good as the food was I can't go back to a place where they have roaches. read more

I would not recommend this Deli for the following reasons: 1. I tried to use an expired Groupon for the amount I had paid for it (which, as all avid Groupon users know, never expires), and the manager refused to accept it. He told me I should come back and speak with the owner. In my opinion this is horrible customer service. 2. The food was ok..nothing special. In New York there are plenty of amazing Deli's to choose from, so why go back to a mediocre one? read more

Not the best deli in White Plains, but pretty darn good. I have never had the hot food, so I can't comment on that, but the wraps always taste fresh. The daily wrap is usually pretty interesting. The staff has always been courteous to me, but I have also never been there during the lunch rush. The pressure might change that. read more

This place is fantastic. On a whim, I decided to give it a tryout as my new go-to White Plains sandwich place. It did not disappoint. This actually happened to someone I know and decided to post it for them so others can be aware of this. This happened about 7-9 months ago. So someone I know came in and ordered a chicken Caesar wrap. Before the employee began making the wrap he reaches in the fridge under the counter and grabs a bunch of uncooked breaded chicken cutlets and throws them in the fryer with gloves on. Then he grabs the wrap with his other hand looking at me to see if I was paying attention. The right thing for him at that point would have been to change his gloves because once he grabbed the uncooked breaded chicken cutlets it contaminated his gloves with salmonella. He then proceeds to start making the wrap and starts touching everything else with his contaminated gloves. Not only does this contaminate the wrap but also all the other food he touched while making it. As soon as I noticed it I alerted the lady at the cashier and she apologized. If I didn't notice that and ate it I could have died from salmonella. I also emailed the email address on their website and no one ever responded. That shows how much they really care. I also reported them to the Dept. of Food Safety. They should be closed down. Please BE AWARE. read more
