The original pancake house is your classic breakfast place with pancakes, eggs, breakfast meats, and combos, which you can't really go wrong with. The service, however, wasn't great. I was a little put off right from the start. We walked in and the two employees standing at the host stand gave us what I can only describe as the Gen Z stare. They literally just looked at us and didn't say anything. No hi, welcome, how many-nothing. Then, our server took our drink order and didn't come back for a long time. The lady who brought our drinks avoided eye contact to the point that it was awkward. When we did finally order, our food came out quickly. I got the meat and eggs, and chose chicken apple sausage (not a common option and nice to see), and upgraded to pumpkin pancakes as opposed to plain buttermilk. The pancakes and sausage were great, and the sausage serving was huge. I did have to send my eggs back to get them cooked a little more, but they were good as well. Our coffee and waters were empty for a really long time. Also, the food was extremely expensive. I've never seen $20 for a basic breakfast combo.

Let's start with the positive. Food was absolutely amazing and portion sizes are huge. You definitely won't leave hungry. The freshly squeezed juices and hot chocolate were on point, and I really appreciate the free refills. Very convenient location and clear atmosphere. The service wasn't as great as the food. We had to physically get up and go to the back of the house to get anything: napkins, water, condiments. The staff were just standing around in the back most of the time, which I don't understand considering it was a full house. When the server did come to our table, she was very friendly though, so I'll give her that. But wish they were more on top of checking up on us more often. I'd love to come back to try the other menu items though. Just hoping the servers would be more attentive next time!

This place was quiet when they opened on a Saturday and then bam, it was packed. Come early if you want to secure on-site parking or there is street parking as well. I've been to a couple of other TOPH. but this one had its own summer special menu filled with fresh fruit options. A bowl of blackberries, strawberries, blueberries and raspberries with sweet, whipped cream made for a nice (and mostly health) appetizer. The whipped cream was also a delightful topping to the pumpkin pancakes. The small set of 3 was enough for me. The apple pancake takes some time, but it is worth it for that gooey melted sugar soft baked apple taste. The food was all great, the service was responsible, the coffee was always full in their pretty ceramic mugs, and a good time was had by all. Come early and have a great breakfast with options for everyone.

We've been here a couple of times before. There is usually about a 15-20 minute wait. The staff and kitchen move quickly and we are always treated well. Everyone enjoyed their food, the blueberry waffles were very good. The coconut pancakes were not that great and seem to be more a novelty than anything substantially coconut flavored. Even the "tropical syrup" that it comes with was not too great; a Suzette sauce might be a better compliment to the coconut pancakes. The tables are well spaced out and the restaurant is clean. Around the area it is metered parking, so keep a timer on your phone to be safe.

The food, absolutely amazing! Everything was hot and fresh! The service, wasn't so great. It took forever to receive water and our drinks. Not sure why but the food was excellent. First time visiting and I would return! If you're in the mood for a really good breakfast, look no further. The establishment is well spaced and there's lots of seating for patrons. Also, a free parking lot behind the building in addition to street parking!

Kids Plate with chocolate chip pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, maple syrup and whipped cream.

Glacially slow is an insult to glaciers. No host when we entered (two adults and two children) eventually told to sit wherever. (Around 9:15am) After receiving our menus, which is loaded with overpriced breakfast items, we waited several minutes before even being acknowledged by the waiter. We then asked if their was a kids menu, he brought 1 menu for the two children. We ordered some water, coffee and seltzer while waiting for the kids to decide. The drinks arrived what seemed like 5 min later, the waiter did not return for another 5. We ordered the kid's plate (chocolate chip pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs - about $10.79 with the $1 chocolate chip upgrade) and kid's cakes silver dollar bacon pancakes (about - $8.99 with $1 bacon crumble upcharge), a side of bacon (4 slices for $8) biscuits and gravy with over easy eggs ($19) and a veggie breakfast bowl ($17). The food finally arrived around 9:50, almost 35 min after we were seated. It was at this point we realized the waiter never brought us utensils, which then took a minute or two to flag down the waiter. He just handed us a pile of forks, knives and napkins. As for the food, the kid's pancakes were quite tasty and fluffy, with a nice homestyle flavor and real maple syrup. The bacon was large and crispy. (The kids were happy and that was good) The biscuits and gravy were disappointing, the biscuits were a little hard (I wouldn't say stale but not flaky), the gravy looked congealed and lacked the peppery spice you expect with sausage gravy. The over easy eggs were undercooked with the whites still very runny. I like a runny yolk, but these were barely flipped at all. We asked 3 times for a coffee and water refill before finally receiving one. All in all it took over 1 hour 20 minutes for a simple breakfast. The restaurant seems understaffed. Perhaps with a server or two more it could be better. Stick to the pancakes.

This has been one of my go to brunch spots when meeting up with friends. It is the perfect middle ground and has ample street and off street parking, just make sure you stay on top of the meter the parking enforcement loves to give tickets. The inside is very typical breakfast appearance with booths and tables. The coffee is always freshly made and never burnt, service is fantastic even when they are insanely busy, and the food is fantastic. I ordered the Apple cinnamon waffles, which has freshly cookies apples inside, eggs, bacon, and a side of home fries. The home fries are good but make sure you ask for them burnt so they are extremely crispy. The whipped butter Here is almost as good as the fresh maple syrup and homemade batter. A must try in the area!

This place is worth the wait the food is so yummy!!! I love the home made butter and maple syrup, the pancakes are so fluffy and yummy. Also loved the fresh orange juice. I recommend joining waitlist with some time in advance. I visited Saturday morning and waited about an hour.

That said, I wouldn't necessarily recommend bringing very active children, as the rooftop/bar atmosphere is better suited for a more relaxed dining experience. Our reservation was at 3:30 PM on a Saturday, so we ordered from the brunch menu. Had we waited another 30 minutes, we would have been able to order from the dinner menu, but my party wasn't interested in waiting. The food was delicious--especially the buffalo wings! The drinks were strong and well-made. I opted for the bottomless bellinis, and our server made sure my glass was never empty. As a birthday treat, I received a complimentary bread pudding, which was a thoughtful gesture, although it was a bit dry for my taste. Overall, we had a great experience and I'll definitely be returning to try the dinner menu.rooftop

We were seated in a nice booth and service was good. We had some coffee which was standard fare - basically diner quality but drinkable. Some ice cold water. All good We ordered the eggs Benedict, some pancakes, and the lobster roll. I had the eggs and they were cooked well with a ham and high volume of hollandaise. I usually have the hollandaise on the side, but as a cardinal error, I had forgotten to ask them for that. The sauce was overpowering a little bit too sour for my liking, and as it turns out did not agree with me. Next time I will avoid that. The lobster roll was well received with no mayonnaise, which was great. And the pancakes were also good.

You order at the register and they call out your name when your food is ready. They have a ton of vegan/vegetarian options, as well as a great breakfast/brunch menu. I ordered the egg and cheese biscuit. The cheddar jalapeño biscuit was delicious. It was buttery and dense. The flavors were mild, but the sandwich was the perfect portion size. I also got a side of the vegan bacon. It was rubbery and tough to chew. Would not recommend. My husband enjoyed the breakfast burrito. We also shared the buffalo cauliflower. The cauliflower pieces were well coated in buffalo sauce and very flavorful. I also got the Don't Kale Me juice. It was tangy, citrusy, and refreshing. The Deep Roots smoothie was also quite tasty. We do notice two empty tables outside but understood that maybe they don't want to seat people and overwhelm the kitchen. After about 10 mins of waiting we're offered one of the tables that had been empty. (Which were outside). No menus given but we noticed the QR codes. Guy comes by and drops off cups w ice and a carat of water. Waiting... waiting.... Finally another server comes and asks if we'd like to order drinks. Yes, and our meals bc we've been sitting here for quite some time. We get our coffees and there's a lot of grinds at the bottom of the cups, server switches it out. We finally get our food and two of the three meals were not hot, not even warm. But we're hungry and eat but when the server checks in my sister says "honestly for as long as we waited we would've expected hotter food, these two (egg dishes) are cold." He apologizes and says he'll let the manager know. The manager, who I can only assume is Lisa (based on the responses I'm seeing here on Yelp) came out and said I hear the food is cold? And was very aggressive right off the bat. Saying everything comes right out of the kitchen and to the table, we don't have heat lamps. Offers to "reheat" the food (but how, the microwave?) we're already half way thru the dishes as we had waited a long time. My sister tried to express that after waiting for a table, service and grounds in the coffee that this was disappointing - the manager interjects w "well did you tell him did he give you a new one" She does NOT take criticism very well, she's abrasive and leaves a bad taste in your mouth. She then came out (after I assume finding out the whole story and how long we had been there) she said she would take the two items off the bill, which we weren't gunning for. As we just gave honest feedback when asked how everything was. We then noticed her come and check in on the other tables outside bc people who got there well after us also got their food at the same time... As much as I'd want to come back and try it again bc the promise is there. The manager was such a turn off, that I would be spending my money there, again.
