    Lattes and pumpkin bread
    Melanie M.

another stop at cafe deux and this restaurant continues to amaze me!! i got a latte and pumpkin bread. the latte was super smooth, not too bitter, and had a wonderful coffee flavor. they also put the cutest latte art on top! like literally perfect. the pumpkin bread was sooo moist yet also fluffy and had the perfect amount of spice. i was shocked to find out it was gluten free. as a food scientist, i know first hand how hard it is to make a baked good gluten free and moist, but this restaurant does it perfectly. so, on my way out i grabbed some gf cupcakes for a picnic later today! so excited to share them with my friends! service was also kind and attentive

Cafe Deux was such a lovely place for a date night and looks like a great place for breakfast. As it was less busy day after Valentine's Day but I would recommend making a reservation as it is limited seating. On to the food, the menu had plenty of gluten free options so my partner had endless decisions to choose from. We started off with the hummus with gluten free sourdough bread and you could tell all of it was freshly made. For the entree, we had Spinach Basil Pesto Rigatoni and the Deux Wagyu burger mind you eating the burger it melted each bite I took. The winner of the night the French Onion Mac and Cheese like whaaaaa, that is on top of my list of best Mac and cheese I ever had. Honorable mention has to go the side salad because the dressing or vinaigrette was delightful and would get it again. Ultimately I don't think you could go wrong in any of the food choices. We shall be back for breakfast or dinner

    $17? sure, gladly

This place is silly. The food is okay, kinda plain. not good, not bad, just fine. The service was absolutely terrible. Between the disinterest and being annoyed almost when we had questions for them. The prices are insane - like a casual little diner/cafe..no need for an egg on a croissant to be $17...heaven forbid you want a cobb salad..I think it was $35 The vibe is like that show on Apple TV "your friends and neighbors" which is an incredible show. Like a table of neatly coiffed wall street dudes having lunch before jetting off to the hamptons..polo shirt tucked in to khakis (with a pleat, a la 1985...kinda respect it to be honest!). Another table of bored housewives yenta'ing it up. If I was in the area, I'd probably return if they had a 50% off everything sale and I was hungry.

Homemade baguette and jams and bacon

I'm gonna be so real with you... we were just passing through on a roadtrip looking for a quick breakfast spot. Google brought us here and when they said it was reservation only or bar seating I was a little taken back lol I was like "is this place actually that good???" YES. Yes it is. Holymacaronis. I was hungover and couldn't stomach anything too heavy so I got a whole baguette to myself. Everything was so fresh and homemade with love and DELICOUS. I was debating on getting a whole other loaf to myself lmao. And my coffee!!! It was RICH with flavor. My only complaint is I was not a fan of the thiqueboiiii bacon. My fiance was in meat heaven tho. Our friends enjoyed their meals thoroughly. Make the reservation and GO! 10/10 would recommended, would go back again if in the area

Best French toast ever! I come with my family just to eat it. Great place for brunch, but not a big space. Make reservations!

She was responsive, understanding, and flexible throughout the booking process that we truly appreciated. As we got closer to the wedding, Ralph became our main point of contact and he was our Maitre'D. He was incredibly communicative, practical, and reassuring. He helped us work through the last-minute changes and was always focused on finding a solution. We originally chose Whitby Castle because having an outdoor ceremony on the grounds was part of our dream. Unfortunately, due to an intense heatwave, we moved the ceremony indoors at the last minute. I was nervous that it would not have the same feeling, but the space felt elegant, intimate, and beautiful, and our photographs still captured everything we loved. There were a few hiccups throughout the day as well, but the venue including Ralph and Rosa (bridal attendant) remained accommodating and worked well with every one of our vendors to keep things moving. They took care of us that day in moments where no one else was paying attention, and we are eternally thankful to them for that. Whitby Castle is a stunning venue, but also one with a team that genuinely tries to support its couples. We are very grateful to Niki, Ralph, Rosa, and the entire Whitby Castle team for helping bring our wedding together.

We had unsweetened iced teas, and the kids' seltzer came in a kid-sized cup. After ordering, we were served cornbread sticks, which were really good and a hit with my son. Elwood also brought crayons and paper for him, which was a thoughtful touch. We started with the gator nuggets and frickles. The gator nuggets were our favorite appetizer. The frickles were good, but the batter was fairly thick, which made the pickle flavor a little subtle. For my entrée, I had the fried chicken with collard greens and mac and cheese. The chicken was nicely crispy and came with four pieces, though it was a little overcooked for my taste. The collard greens were on the sweet side, and the mac and cheese could have used a bit more flavor. The highlight of our visit was the service. Elwood was friendly, attentive, and struck the perfect balance of checking in without being overbearing. Overall, the food was a bit mixed for us, but the excellent service, family-friendly touches, and pleasant outdoor seating made for an enjoyable experience. We'll be back to try some of the other menu items.

They offered red or white wine to the guests as well as passed out champagne at the beginning for the toast. Later they had coffee or tea to go with the dessert. The food varied. The appetizers, spicy shrimp and Italian meatballs, were addictive. The arugula salad was nicely presented and flavors meshed well. The pasta with peas was al dented. The side dishes of mixed vegetables and potatoes were decent. The main dishes were hit or miss. There were three: salmon, steak, and chicken marsala. The salmon was flavorful but a little dry. The chicken marsala was very dry and was saved by the delicious sauce with mushrooms. The best was the steak which was perfectly tender and medium rare. The dessert was some small pastries and fruit which was presented nicely. It is a very classy place with good service.

What a great find!…read more We were in the area and wanted to find a place to sit down for a quiet low key dinner. Read the reviews and now have found a "go to" worth a short drive. We had the ribs, salmon, and skirt steak. All cooked in a smoker which added to the flavor perfectly. Each were cooked well... not dry but deliciously moist. Try the Brussels sprouts! Yummy. By the way... the appetizers were terrific. Their wings must be a hidden gem. I don't understand why more people don't go there just for that alone. The sauces were amazing and they weren't those scrawny little ones but meaty. For a small place it really is terrific. Oh yeah... almost forgot to mention... great coffee!
