This is a great nursery! They have everything from flowers, shrubs, vegetables, trees, and succulents. Greenhouse has a variety of houseplants to choose from. Knowledgeable and helpful owners. But helpful to know what you're looking for to not get overwhelmed.

Loved it here! Finally decided to stop by today as I was in the area and I don't regret it! Large variety of house plants, which is what I went for. Multiple sizes of everything, great selection of pots also. Found 2 plants I've been looking for and was able to get them off my wish list. Service was great and prices are very fair.

Good place to shop for outdoor plants as their outdoor selection in the front was very well maintained. The indoor plant selection however was lacking, some items not labeled or priced, and lots of plants neglected so choices are limited. I was looking for a unique indoor plant but did not like the choices are quality available. Plant pot and soil selection were poor and seemed neglected also.

I found this nursery when I ordered a plant off Etsy in 2023. The return address of the plant was Martinez and since I was local, I had to check it out. This place is amazing. I only go for succulents and their selection is outstanding (prices are VERY reasonable). They have lots of string succulents. String of Turtles are my favorite, but I can't keep them alive to save my own life. The employees are very friendly and knowledgeable. I went today to pick up soil and got some solid advice from the nice woman who helped me.

I was referred here by a former customer of mine, so I made it a point to stop in before my final decision of new landscaping plants and trees. This nursery is massive in size with a large selection of trees and plants for whatever you're looking for. Located down the street by the Buena Park mall, the nursery is located on the South side of La Palma Ave. Parking is conveniently located in front of the business, and they'll allow you to pick up larger items via your vehicle or stage your order for your landscaper to pick up. Customer service was top notch by Estela, whom literally spent hours assisting me in selecting King palms, olive trees, succulents, and CA native plants for my drought tolerant drip landscaping. My tab ended up being several thousand dollars, but even my landscaper said the product was top quality and at competitive price. I'm very happy with the service, variety, and pricing here at Martinez Nursery and highly recommended them.

Wow this establishment is so vast with a variety of plants ranging of small succulents and flowed to trees! I stopped by because I was looking for a gift for my grandmother's birthday gift. She has a nice garden and I wanted to give her something that would add color and spruce up her yard. We found a very pretty red flower (I forgot the name). There is a code on the side that can tell you more information. The lady who helped us at the front explained that watering it once a week was enough and direct/ indirect sunlight was good. We went around 2 pm and it was pretty hot! I recommend wearing shoes that you don't mind getting dirty because it is all dirt paths. And having sunglasses and a hat would be good too! I had a fun time exploring the area! I couldn't go through it all because if you keep going to the back the plants get larger and larger! Plus it was a hot day too The cost was also very reasonable and affordable. They accept card but cash is preferred, I highly recommend coming here if you're looking for a plant!

This is my first time going to Martinez Nursery ! They had a wide assortment of Succulents and Cacti ! So many choices ! The prices were very reasonable ! If you pay with cash no tax. I loaded up as I needed perlite, cactus mix and terra cotta pots. I also bought two Thanksgiving/Christmas cactus in two inch pots for $4 each. I bought a Hoya Rosita for $12 in a four inch potI love to repot my starter plants and watch them my plants grow ! The staff is very friendly and helpful !

When I came on a Sunday afternoon, there was a workshop happening (the other two-thirds of the space), so classes are probably where the Green Place focuses most of their efforts I would guess. The plants I got were some Pothos, Dracaena, and Monstera. I loved that they explained to me how to take care of the plants. The team there also helped me select the plants that would be best for the amount of light that comes into my place. The average cost for the plants I bought were around $12-15 and I'd say they're about small-medium sized plants. As a bonus, they also partnered with another small business that offers pottery painting towards the back of the store. You could probably purchase a plant and then paint something to put the plant in. How cool!

I had been looking for a yuzu tree, and this was the only place that had one and it was already 4 feet tall and only $60! Citrus trees are hard to find in Orange County due to quarantine restrictions, and some cities are even banned from purchasing them. I was surprised to discover that Mimosa Nursery not only carries citrus trees but also yuzu specifically. Beyond citrus, they have an impressive selection of other fruit trees as well. I also picked up a 7-gallon Violette de Bordeaux fig tree for $65. While you might find some of these plants cheaper elsewhere, many of the fruit trees here are already fruiting or have been pruned to the size and shape of a tree, which means they are more developed than the typical seedlings sold at lower prices. Service is very straightforward - you're not going to spend half a day chatting it up with them here. I highly recommend checking out Mimosa Nursery if you're on the hunt for a specific fruit tree. When planting into the ground, to our dismay, there was rubbish all throughout the pot... so we had to wash off all the contaminated soil and plant it bareroot. Absolutely disgusting they grow their plants with toxic plastic mixed in! They probably get free compost from the city dumps or God knows. The soil was also full of artificial fertilizer pellets which likely contain plastic polymers. I contacted them and they offered a replacement - but, whats the point of that if their other plants are grown the same way. It was too much for me to drive back and deal with that, and I'd set a time to get this job done. Was a little in touch by text with them, they didn't offer any form of refund or discount for the crappy soil condition they sold it in or the trouble to remove it, just the message: "Good luck with the bare root." Also, the tree's root system was actually quite small, a 3-5 gallon pot would have been more than adequate vs a half-filled 15 gallon pot. All in all, way overpriced for this poor quality and hassle. 2 stars instead of 1 simply because it's difficult to find some of these tropical fruit trees and the Vietnamese ladies here were friendly in person. ‍ Hopefully the tree survives the transplant shock, if it doesn't, we will fight for a full refund.

As for the service, it has always felt pretty neutral. Nobody has been rude, but I wouldn't describe the staff as particularly friendly or welcoming either. Most of the time I come in, buy what I need, and leave. If I have questions about a plant, I usually have to look around for someone to ask, and the answers are often pretty brief.

My boyfriend and I actually initially found it as we were driving through La Mirada, but the name of the store caught my eye and we went in a few months ago, but I'm finally getting around to writing a review for them now! There was a gentleman who was running the store, who I learned was the owner! They had apparently been open in LA for a long time before packing up and moving over to La Mirada! The plants inside (as the name might suggest) were a mixture of trees and small plants. I'm not the best at knowing what plant species are what, but the vibe was very gardeny. What I mean by that is, that the owner of the location seems familiar with the plants, handling them, repotting them, etc. The entire time we were perusing, he was moving plants around, repotting, while also being very attentive and answering our questions. My favorite part of the store is tucked away in the back corner. It's a collection of art and art pieces. The painted plants were actually painted by the store owner's mother! In the end, that's what I ended up buying (I got 3 painted pictures). I don't remember exactly what the price was, but I remember being very pleased with what we got.
