Had a late lunch on a Sunday. Ordered a pulled pork sandwich with coke slaw and tomato on the sandwich. The founder of Martin's touts ther combination as the perfect way to eat their pulled pork sandwich. Guess what? Sorry, no tomatoes. They do serve hamburgers with tomatoes, so I can only assume no tomatoes on their burgers as well. The pulled pork was tasty. Also order a side or Mac and cheese for $3.95. It was literally two tablespoons of Mac and cheese, which was cold, dry, and over seasoned. Ordered sweet tea to drink. They simply do not know how to make Southern sweet tea. This was my second experience with Martin's not having sweet tea. Guess they are trying to save on sugar. It was terrible. The service was adequate. So, I received my tea, and my order number, and went to find a table. I check four different tables and every one of them was sticky. I sat at one prior to my knowing it was sticky, and put my forearms in it. The sticky rubbed off on my arms. Truly disgusting. In my honest opinion, they obviously do not have proper management. And I would carefully consider whether or not you want to roll the dice on Martin's as your next dine out place. read more

We recently moved here from out of state and this was our first meal in town. First, the service was great! We ordered up at the front and our food came pretty quickly. The staff was very attentive to our needs and refilled our drinks and whatnot as soon as we needed it. The food is also great! The Mac and cheese is amazing and the brisket was so good too! Wow! I wish I had extra room in my stomach so I can eat more of their food! The meat was cooked perfectly, and the sauces complimented the meat well. Indoor and outdoor seating was available. We went in on a sunday evening and it was pretty packed. The line to order was long, but it goes pretty quick, and the food was served in a timely manner. I worked there for a year so an insider's view. Everything made fresh everyday. They take their time and cook the meats slow and smokie. They cook whole hogs on weekends and shoulders weekdays. And the kitchen is the best kept (clean) that I have ever worked in. Get the brisket, get the ribs and get some pulled pork. They are all the best around. The sauce that was served on the tray with the meat was very good but we did not care for the Jack sauce that available at the table. The portions were generous and the service was quick. We are here from Vegas for my sons baseball tournament. We got recommendations for restaurants and this was on the top of many peoples lists I spoke to. Unfortunately when we went our food was cold, missing items, and my chicken was way under cooked. We sent some food back for being cold but just kept coming back the same. Extremely consistent on their nachos which are amazing. The drive thru is great on the fly for some good food.

Overall very tasty and good value. Interior is spacious with high ceilings and interesting decor. Employees willingly adhered to Covid face mask regulation and took many precautions to ensure we had a safe experience as possible. Greeter/server was energetic and very helpful. Food came very quickly and was carried to our 'outdoor' patio section. We had pulled pork sandwich and platter, beans, slaw, broccoli salad. The sauce for the pork was delicious. The portion sizes for the meat here are really big which I appreciate, but the food itself isn't too memorable. I got the ribs with 2 sides- cornbread hoecake (which is like a cornbread pancake,) and beans. The order also came with two slices of wonder bread, and overall it was very filling (enough for me to get two meals out of it,) but as for someone who was visiting Tennessee and wanted to experience rich flavorful southern BBQ, this wouldn't be at the top of my list if I were to go back. Second trip to Martins. First they were out of brisket. This round we sat at the bar and I got to hang out with a box of brand new silverware in front of me. Food wise I went brisket and ribs. Both were cold. Received only point cut which was in chunks not slices. Ribs were also cold. Thank goodness I ordered them wet cause the meat needed all the help it could get. I fully expect to have Jesus crammed down my throat when I go to Chick-Fil-A, but apparently now that's a universal thing down in these parts. Just don't sit on the "wrong side" of the shared patio with "55 South", as they will run out, to move you along, as if you're a law-breaking peasant. Well, I was thrilled to just receive a message from someone confirming that they have now installed a baby changing table in the men's restroom. Nicely done, Martin's! As promised, here is an additional two stars (additional info about the actual food here is in my previous review). This really is a good place; it's cool and fun/easy to take the family to (especially when it's nice out and you can eat in the outdoor area with kid games). That's what made it all the more surprising and annoying that they didn't put a changing station in both restrooms. So glad and grateful that they took notice and fixed it. To the one who messaged me about the update - I don't know how you're affiliated with Martin's, but you did say "We've got a changing table in the men's restroom now," so I assume you are somehow connected to them. Fried Chicken Tender Goodness!! 10/10 Was not sure what to expect when I ordered their fried chicken tenders plate. But have to say, I was blown away at how good their tenders are. White meat, juicy chicken inside and a very tasty, flaky, crispy and perfect fried batter on the outside. Not too greasy, and not too chewy, no strip of gristle down the middle like you may find at Zaxbys. Safe to say these are the best tenders down here in Spring Hill! And of course their French fries are crazy good as well (no surprise there), hand-cut style with course salt and black pepper... yum. read more

Disappointing meal. My baked potatoes had a thimble full of pork, sour cream which made it dry. Couldn't taste the pork to comment. My husband had chicken dinner. The chicken did not fall off the bone. Not a fan of the bbq sauces. The smoke from the smoker made it hard for breathing (asthma). There is no way to converse as it was very loud. As transplants from an area where food options are plentiful not to mention an a-mazing BBQ restaurant (shout out to 4Rivers Smokehouse in Winter Park, FL!), I have to say this place was underwhelming. I wanted to like their food. They have the aesthetics down, but aesthetics don't make for good food. I would rather they looked like a dive and spent that cash on training their staff on making quality food and getting it to the correct tables correctly. We went in on a Wednesday night. It was not very busy, and we went inside to eat, and we were a party of 6. We all ordered something different. The first problem was the sodas. I ordered Mello Yello I think, and she said it was out. Okay no problem, so I said make it a Dr Pepper instead. We're out of that too. Mmmmkay. Do you have Coke? Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner! My son ordered a Sprite, got it back to the table and found out after his first sip? You guessed it! They were out of that too! (I blame management for this. It's their job to order properly) After we all sat down, within 4 minutes, food was dropped on our table. Not our food, mind you, but...someone's lol. I had to practically tackle the guy who dropped the food in front of us to stop him from running away to tell him that however grateful I am that he wanted to feed us so expeditiously, no this is not our food. He apologized and took it back...and then spent the next 10 minutes wandering around the half empty restaurant looking for who the food belonged to. Now, they give you numbers that you prop on your table. I wouldn't think it would be too hard to manage this. I guess I was wrong. In general, the entire staff, although very nice, seemed very inept at their jobs. None of the wait staff or cashiers were rude, but they were a disorganized mess, and it showed. Big time. When our food came out, it was a comedy of errors. Where is my mac and cheese? Why did you give me slaw? I asked for french fries. Is my son's sandwich coming out before the rest of us finish our meal, or did you forget to make it? My husband asked for a half chicken, you gave him ribs. Sheesh. I was the lucky one. I got what I asked for and no problems, but the other 5 at my table weren't so lucky. My daughter's half chicken was burnt. I don't mean it was smoky or lightly charred. I mean there were large portions of the meat that were simply inedible. We asked for the manager to come out and take a look, and he said that is what it's supposed to look like (???). As he's saying it I'm looking at other tables with the chicken (my husband was still waiting for his after they took the ribs back), and none, I repeat NONE of theirs looked like the charred mess my daughter was left to try to eat since the manager had no interest in making it right (I consider him "pleasantly rude". He didn't get rude, but he didn't fix the problem either). My husband's came out not long after and didn't look my daughter's chicken briquettes. The fudge brownie pie was delicious. I'll give them that one. Other than that, the place was a joke from start to finish. Spring Hill's dining scene leaves a lot to be desired, I know this now, and that is why I was so hoping this place would be great. It wasn't. It was also pricey. Over $16 for a half chicken meal with 2 small sides, and the bread they give you is literally sliced white bread out of the bag. No garlic bread, no cornbread...just...bread. When I saw that on the plate I just started laughing, although I have heard that in this area of the country, that isn't uncommon. Weird to me, though lol. read more

I grew up in the South and LOVE bbq. I was very disappointed. Based on the other reviews, I evidently caught them on a bad day. Service was essentially nonexistent. After placing our order at the register and pre tipping, we were literally on our own except for them bringing our food. Despite the place being almost empty, had to go back up to the register to get drink refills. I ordered the pulled pork. May have been the worse I've ever had. Tasteless, over cooked and dry to the point of being inedible. Since I was very hungry, went back to the register and ordered some wings. These were undercooked and again, inedible. This is our first stay in the Spring Hill area and we wanted to find good Barbecue. We will look no further. The ribs were some of the best I've had in my life. My wife agrees. They were very tender and tasty, Just the right texture and smokiness. They took me back to the Barbecue shacks I knew as a kid in Southern Indiana and Western Kentucky in the 1950's. The sauce is perfect, not syrupy, and the sides are the real deal, real homemade flavor. We had the slaw, mac n' cheese, and baked beans. The baked beans were delightfully peppery. By the way, we ordered on Door Dash and had the food in less than 30 minutes from the time we ordered. read more
