Biscuits and gravy, soft scrambled eggs. Corned beef with Sunnyside up eggs and over cooked yolk.
Rob B.

Breakfast carryout - Biscuit and gravy with scrambled eggs breakfast is okay, average. The soft scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked. Corned beef hash with Sunnyside up eggs. I peaked in the box before leaving and the sunny side up eggs looked great. I got home and then touched them they were actually all cooked to a jelly consistency. This was not from heat in the container. I was able to pick the egg yolk out with a fork. The corned beef hash is still good, but the overcooked Sunnyside up is a deal breaker. Breakfast Special- the standard fare.

Don't order the fish and chips. Frozen and refried.

Good sandwiches with tender meat. I dont recommend the fish because it's not hand dipped, frozen and refried. Hard working staff that's polite. They charge 4% more if you use a credit card.

Picture it: Summer 2019. My family is in town for a wedding. None of us are from the area, but we want to have a good brunch before we go our separate ways. We were disappointed the day before, so I decided to ask our hotel's front desk for a recommendation. As soon as I get the words "brunch", "good food", and "pancakes" out of my mouth, a voice yells from across the room " I have the perfect place for you!" She directed us to Martin's Ham & Cornbeef, fairly warned us that it was small and the vibe was nothing special, but the food would be delicious and plentiful. She ain't never lied! The restaurant is small, and definitely nothing fancy. It's not really conducive for groups larger than 4-5, so we scattered our party around at various tables. In all honesty, I did have to dock stars because our service was a hot mess. Our waitress spilled water all over my brother and aunt, she mixed up our orders, and forgot some things. Also, our food took a long time to come out. However, I will say that all of the waitresses we interacted with, no matter how clumsy or forgetful, were very pleasant. About the food...I had the Homemade Corned Beef Hash, because look where we are. I guess I had already forgotten our "warning" from the hotel, because I think my jaw dropped a little when a huge bowl of layered potatoes and corned beef, loaded with country gravy and topped with scrambled eggs was placed before me. In inhaled and thoroughly enjoyed half of the bowl, and then killed the other half in the hotel the next morning. I think it's safe to say I was very pleased with my Martin's Ham & Cornbeef meal.

Great navy bean soup and the combo cornbread/pastrami sandwich was to die for! Carnigies and Kats in NY have nothing on this 1lb. Sandwich.

Ultimate Skillet

Still the best place around for corned beef and breakfast. Must try the Ultimate Skillet, Biscuits n Gravy, corned beef sandwich and/or Pastrami.

I drove from Sterling Heights excited on trying their Corn Beef sandwich, upon arrival the cook on the grill did not seem to be having a good day, looked me in my eyes with a mud attitude and didn't speak. The lady on the register DJdeli was smiley and very pleasant I ordered a $21.99 Corn beef sandwich along with a whole pickle priced @ $2.50 totaling $25+, surprised receiving it, preparing to eat it in my car. I was very disappointed with both !. The sandwich was one of the worst sandwich I've ever purchased, having better from the Coney Island, especially for the price I paid being it had no slices put together with dry broken pieces, tasteless, No flavor whatsoever with the Swiss cheese on only one half of the sandwich, as I was trying to eat it, it keep breaking apart all over my car and the pickle was old half soggy dented in. I did try to request an exchange or refund for the pickle and he (the cook),Intervening the conversation with the clerk stated at me with an sassy nasty attitude I'm not giving you back a refund, You can get another pickle. I'm like ok thank you, the one he exchanged was smaller in the same condition, turning bad as well. I will take this an experience to not listen to over hyped up commercials and stick with what I know and those who know and miss the bad demeanor and unworthy over price Corn beef with the nasty service provided by their cook and invest in a menu that I won't throw away the remaining of the purchase!. I will not be returning and will share this advice with those I know !!. I gave two stars for the clerk who took my order, thank you for being kind my first and last visit .

While cruising through the heart of Royal Oak, I noticed this little deli shop, calling my name…read morepast apartment buildings and local scenery. They have an extensive menu to include vegetarian options which was nice to see. They also have many local brands to include chips, sodas, and other small local business products (caramelized nuts, baked goods, etc.)! On the topic of local businesses, they also had a board which allowed local owners to post business cards and event alerts, fantastic for drawing the community together. Now, I ordered a Reuben as a lover of corned beef and sauerkraut. It was delicious and sizeable, a fair portion size for the money as well. The chips were also delicious having gone for the salt, pepper, and onion variety. A solid crunch and bursting with flavor. Among the positives I have two negatives, both of which are not adequate enough to lower their star ranking. Firstly, it took around 20-25 minutes to get our food after ordering. I rarely hold timing against a restaurant as having worked in food, I know lunch rush exists and things happen. To mitigate this (for those in the area) I believe they have an online ordering system, which I would recommend utilizing! Secondly, they do not have indoor seating, so it is a very grab and go type establishment. This is counteracted by the multitude of benches around Royal Oak, though it would be nice to have some amount of seating, especially for those with accessibility needs and those waiting on their food. Overall, Oak House Deli is solid and delicious and I will definitely stop by again when I am in the area!

First of all the burger week place should have had open/close times listed on the app. Second, it's sliced deli meat... you can't slice up some lunch meat a few minutes before 11am. That's crazy. Edit: came back next day and actually HAD the sandwich I came for. Sandwich was VERY good. A little too much sauce but otherwise great. Flavor was good. Customer service still wasn't the best. Took 30 minutes for a sandwich. But I did get a free pickle.

Remember: Bring cash! Used a card, and the cashier had to type it in manually (it was nice of them to do that). Now for the food - We got a few meats--turkey pastrami, corned beef and a "wildcard" (I let the staff pick, and whatever it was it was good). We also got the special spices etc. I do prefer a more of an Italian sandwich on a hard roll, so I'm not sure the soft onion roll is for me. If you like a cold sandwich un-toasted and generally basic with a bit of a twist, you will love this! My husband and I enjoyed the sandwich (split it, and they put mayo on half at my request). It's a charming spot, quality food and I'm glad we tried it. Skip the spicy potato salad. It was bland, sadly.
