We had a great experience at martins. He rebuilt my transmission on my 2016 gmc yukon. Car runs great and was quick and reasonable.

I had an awful experience with this shop and would not recommend them to anyone. I brought my car…read morein to have the transmission rebuilt. The owner called me and said it was the worst possible scenario and would cost the highest price they charge. I trusted them and paid the full amount, hoping to have a reliable car again. The car drove once and then wouldn't start. When I called to report the issue, they immediately tried to blame me--saying it must have been something I did. It turned out the computer programming (which they outsourced to another company across the street) was done incorrectly. I had to pay out of pocket to tow my car back to them, and the owner refused to reimburse me, arguing with me the entire time. They kept my car for another full week. When I finally picked it up, it started--but the A/C no longer worked, even though it was working perfectly before. When I called, the owner dismissed it and said it was just a "coincidence" that it went out at the same time. Every time I brought up a concern, he backpedaled to avoid responsibility. Later, a mechanic inspected the A/C and said it looked like parts were broken--right around where they would have installed the battery. On top of that, the incorrect programming kept frying my battery, and I had to buy two replacements. When I got my car back the second time, the brackets for the battery weren't even reinstalled--they were just left on the floor of the car. The final straw was when I noticed greasy, oily handprints all over the inside roof and visor above the driver seat. When I called to ask about it, the owner responded sarcastically with: "You're upset about a little dirt inside the car?" He was incredibly rude, did poor-quality work, broke things, and refused to take accountability for any of it. To this day--five months later--my car still isn't fully repaired. It continues to have issues, but I'm too afraid to bring it back to them even though I have a warranty through their shop. That's how little trust I have in them now. I ended up having to take out a second loan and buy a new car because I had already paid everything I had to fix this one--and they left me with an unreliable mess. This place caused more damage than repair and has zero professionalism or integrity. Avoid them at all costs.

We were miles away from home in the middle of the road and had to tow my car to the nearest transmission place, and thankfully it was this one. They didn't have appointments available but they still squeezed me in and where able to give me an answer the next day and by the end of the week the parts to my car where ordered and by the following week we were back in AZ picking up my jeep. Everyone was extremely kind to us and made sure we felt safe and in good hands. Honestly if my car ever has problems again I'm running straight back to PV to get it looked at because that's how amazing and good they were LOL. I would recommend this place to anyone, everyone here is very knowledgeable and helpful !

I brought it to another Transmission shop and it was just a connection on the wiring harness. I found this out after bringing it back to PV transmission and they said I now needed a new transmission, which was BS, the new harness fixed the issue. They don't stand by their work, lie about their mistakes and lie about what they told me. The wife is very well versed in lying. These guys are a joke. The owners wife actually denied everything, stood by the new transmission lie and made up "notes" and quotes I never saw. I have the original bill with the work done, none of her "notes" are on the original invoice. Please save your self some money, go some where else. I have already steered a lot of friends and family away from their business. I will keep doing that as a public service.

After being there about 1 hour and 15 minutes my wife called and said she was ready and how long it was going to take. All the desk people were busy so I walked outside to see how far my car was so I could let my wife know. To my surprise it was parked same spot I had parked when I had got there. So I asked for my keys and left. No apology or anything. I hope they get it figured out. Update: They called back and apologized and I should of communicated more as well but they got my car right in and are doing the tires as we speak. I just wanted to say thank you for the professionalism. When you open a new company there are growing pains. I apologize for my part of not communicating and they took responsibility for there part. I will definitely be back

I'm a warranty administrator supporting 15 dealerships across the Phoenix area, so I interact with repair shops daily. Unfortunately, I've come to expect average--or even poor--customer service in this industry. Isabel completely changed that expectation. From the first interaction, she was friendly, upbeat, and highly professional. More importantly, she knows her stuff. She provided a detailed, well-structured estimate that clearly outlined the complaint, cause, and correction--something I rarely see done this thoroughly. It wasn't just a generic recommendation; it was thoughtful, transparent, and easy to understand. Big Brand Tires truly has a standout employee in Isabel. I hope they recognize the value she brings. Highly recommend.

After dropping off the pooch we started calling around the better rated shops and they were either full or unprofessional. We called Troy's and he was polite and accommodating and said "Bring it right down" so we did. We took a Lyft to breakfast and settled down to wait for the call. Well we got the call before we got the food and the diagnosis, reasonable quote and the news that since it was unfortunately the Friday of MLK weekend the parts wouldn't be available until Tuesday and he'd have it done Wednesday. Troy made no false promises, no bologna just the straight poop. How refreshing! We could see why his shop is rated so high. Unfortunately with a recovering pooch and a long weekend we decided to head back home and risk it. What did Troy do? He made sure we had roadside assistance and explained how best to baby the FJ back home AND there was no charge for the diagnosis. What a class act! Thank you, Troy you da man!

Troy and his well trained mechanics suggested that I go with the corvette gears, which was around the same price as the gears I was going to put in, and the results are perfect!! Their mechanics treat the cars with respect and the are mechanics you can actually talk to! Not only did they install a new torque converter for me, they fixed an oil leak that I had with the main seal for over 4 years!! Heli coiled my stripped transmission pan bolts! Now my car doesn't leak oil! I am so satisfide with the outcome of this project. Ive had the car back over a month now and I drove it to PHX and back on a light cruise and the car performed fantastically. It's hard to get in this place, because they are always busy, but if you are looking anything "transmission" wise, and you are able to get an appointment in, the Troy Nelson team will take care of you! The price was dirty cheap!
