I love the pizza at this place! I think this is the best pizza that I've had living in Florida for the past 15 years! The negatives are the place itself. It's a strange atmosphere! It's kind of like a strip club without the strippers. It's not very warm and inviting. It's more cold and uninviting. When I saw the words, "Pizza Lounge" on the building, that intrigued me to check it out. It's not loungey at all. It's empty and open and it's not a place that you would take your family to for pizza night. The hours are weird also. The place needs a makeover desperately. I wanted a quiet spot to grab food and a beer and this was it. It's very dark inside and seems like a locals joint. Martoni is just a few blocks from home and it is truly a gift from above! REAL NY slices! The crust is well done and cracks along the spine when you fold it in half, oil and oregano drip down your wrist - while the tip does not droop. You take that first bite and the cheese stretches out, and if you're not careful, it will burn your lower lip. JUST like pizza growing up in NY. These people have no clue about service dog procedures. Firstly, the food is horrible. The ambiance is atrocious. The staff are rude. The manager knows nothing about service dogs. They refused service and the service dogs and I were escorted out. Do not go to this establishment. They do not deserve your patronage. We had a nice lunch here on a rainy afternoon. We sat at the counter as there were a couple other folks there. Otherwise, the restaurant was empty. The place hasn't been open that long. Kathleen the one server holding down the fort was very nice. My husband got a cheese slice of pizza. He chose the thin crust one (they also have Sicilian). He said it was good. He also had a small salad along with it. I got a chicken Parmesan sandwich. Kathleen told me that they make the rolls for the sandwiches in-house as well so it took a bit longer to be ready. The breaded chicken was seasoned and cut in pieces. It had cheese melted on it. It was good, but a tad dry without any added sauce. That would have helped a lot. I wound up eating half my sandwich there and taking the other half home. The restaurant is attached to a motel. We have been here before when it was a couple other restaurants. There's parking in the lot. And a very high concrete step is out front of the entrance door that requires your full attention. Prices were quite reasonable. Service was really good, we were greeted as soon as we walked in. The waitress was super nice and attentive! The pizza was decent, we had a coupon for free large cheese pizza. It was burnt on the bottom, the kids liked it other than being burnt but I was not blown away by it. The chicken wings were also decent and I liked the hot sauce but felt they needed a few more minutes in the fryer to cook all the fat and make them crunchy. They were cooked but I don't like chewy fat on my wings. They should crunch when you bite into them, in my opinion. The drinks were good we had a Tito's and ginger. The live band was very good but very treble heavy with no bass to the music, so while the guys could both sing well and play well I didn't much care for the very loud music that we had to shout over to talk. read more

Ambiance was truly amazing with live music on a Thursday night, and the staff was attentive, fun, engaging and truly cared about the business and food and intimate about the menu. Ordered the ravioli appetizer and garlic knots, both excellent! Ate too fast for a picture. Knots could use just a bit more olive oil, garlic, Parmesan sauce or in the bottom of the plate for sopping it up! Pizza was truly outstanding! Super crisp crust that stands straight out when you pick it up. Fresh sauce, cheese ingredients, all day! HAVE to check this place out. Great large bar area too! First, the service was poor. Second, the owner of the place is the cook and he walked out of the kitchen and outside of the restaurant, walked back in and was handling a garbage can. Then he went back into the kitchen and handled food without washing his hands! How the fuck do you do that, especially being the owner of the establishment? Lastly, the pizza sauce most definitely was not fresh. It had a weird flavor. Unfortunately, it was so bad I'm not willing to give this location a second spot. The health department should really look into this place for the way they handle food. The server was also pulling up & touching her hair and then handling food without washing her hands as well. Absolutely terrible. I ordered for the first time on what I thought was their website. I was redirected to a site called Slice but was able to place my order and receive updates with no problem. When I arrived to pick up my order, there were only 4 mozzarella sticks instead of the 6 that I paid $8 for and no marinara. I asked about the missing ones and was told that I ordered from the wrong site and they charge extra so they won't give them to me even though it was even printed on the receipt they gave me. The owner was completely rude. Had I not already paid, I would have left without my food. When I got home, I found that my Pepperoni Pocket had barely anything inside and was cold (as well as the mozzarella sticks). So I paid $28 for 4 cold mozzarella sticks and 1 cold pile of dough with a little bit of cheese and pepperoni. read more

This place just opened and is going through a soft opening. I am a pizza lover and have enjoyed pizza from Buffalo, New York City and even Pepe's in Rhode Island. The pizza at MarToni's is perfect. The spice is just right and the balance of sauce, crust and cheese is perfect. It is thin crust and is simply delicious. This is now my favorite pizza place in South Florida. First visit : tried the large Sicilian crust pizza. Sat at the bar & watched the chef make the pizza; he must have checked our pizza close to two dozen times while shuffling it from side to side during the 50 minutes it was cooking. Pizza arrived and the crust was way overdone. Using a knife was the only way to cut it holding the knife like an ice pick and a lot of down pressure. Bartender saw us struggling and asked how it was and we said the crust was over cooked. Bartender offered a free glass of wine but I already had 2 and did not wish another. After eating two slices I asked the bartender to have the chef take a bite of any slice from the remaining 3/4s of the pizza we were leaving behind. No reply form the chef and the bartender was surprised we did not want to take the pizza. We paid the bill in full with no adjustments. read more
