First time coming here based on my sons suggestion. Food was really good a bit too much rice on some items but fish was good. We got here before dinner rush so we figured good service, but we were wrong. Service was slow and we noticed that large group next to us was getting more attention than us. Food was so-so, but the service was HORRIBLE. First, they were rude. The waiter made comments and successfully offended everyone in my party at least once. Then, they forgot not one, but TWO of our rolls that we got after being there for an hour and a half (mind you they were simple rolls) and no longer even wanted them. They switched waiters three times without telling us so we just sat there waiting for our check for another 45 minutes because nobody seemed to have our table. I was in the mood for some fire sushi but it was a little late so i need to find a place that was open late so I found this place on yelp and i am very glad i did because this place had some real fire sushi. I love tempura (i don't really like raw sushi) so i got the philadelphia crunch roll and i was not disappointed. I just left this place and let me start by saying that the staff was really nice with the exception of the manager. The greeter was really nice and actually felt bad for us. Anyway, the food was so bad. I couldn't eat it, i just couldn't finish what my boyfriend and I had ordered. It's an all you can eat place that charges for leftovers. I told them I didn't like the food and the manger's conclusion was that "every place is different" what a poor excuse for bad food. The sushi chef was nice but he might've been an amateur. The greeter suggested to the manager that we should not be charged because we just couldn't eat and she wouldn't budge. Anyway, do not eat here!! Bad management and bad food, enough said! read more

Went for ayce sushi for birthday dinner, the majority of the sushi was decent but the uni that we ordered with a quail egg was grey and slimy. I can't believe the chefs would put out such a terrible product! The waitress apologized and said she would talk to the manager. Nobody else apologized and the manager only took off the extra price for the quail egg. The uni ruined the whole dinner. Don't think we'll be back, not for dinner anyhow. read more

Honestly I did not understand these reviews. Went with my son my mother and my grandchild. My son order a rainbow roll and my grandson order a Salmon roll with nothing else in it. They were two different cuts my grass and could not salmon and swallow it. This is hands-down my favorite sushi restaurant. I have eaten sushi at the beach in San Diego and Hollywood etc. and this place surpasses all of them. I love coming here. The prices are extremely affordable and the food is delicious. The presentation is pleasing and the assortment of dishes are amazing. My favorite aspect of this restaurant is there happy hour deals on rolls and drinks. The environment is inviting and comfortable, plus I love how they host fights on the TVs there. I was excited about finding an all you can eat sushi place in the Inland Empire. This particular location is very spacious and has adequate seating. Once you sit down, the wait staff will address you immediately. Ordering the all you can eat sushi is a little complex. Just remember that you mark the number of rolls you want for each round (1-3). Once you order, orders come relatively quickly, but more complicated fried or baked rolls take a little time. Overall, the food is amazing and I plan to visit again soon. read more

been coming here for years and I'm so glad they're still doing well through covid! all of the servers are very nice and attentive even when they're super busy. Service was quick and efficient. Waitress was polite and accurate. Sushi was good but not great. I like my sushi cool not room temperature but it was still good. We did notice that the waitresses don't pick up the bill but they had someone else picking up the payment? I left a 40 dollar tip because of the great service but I have no idea if she will get it or not. read more

Awful experience; both I and my boyfriend went to have a decent sushi and that turned out not so good. The chef and the waitress was arguing so loud and disrespectfully in front of all their customers. They would not bring the orders correctly, their tuna was not fresh at all as a matter of fact we both got a stomachache and hour after we left there. If you have to have him stop by Taco Bell that would be the greatest choice then going to this sushi place. If I had a choice to give them no star on yelp I would definitely do that. read more

As a self-proclaimed sushi snob, I am happy to report that Maru Sushi is my new favorite spot! Great service the entire time, tasty well-portioned rolls, fresh fish, and lots of variety. It's a cute atmosphere and nicely decorated. They play modern music but it's not overly loud like a lot of places. I do AYCE sushi once a year. I have my favorite 1 spot. This is now the best AYCE sushi I think. Really delicious fish, the rice portion is small so you don't fill up on rice. I don't order rolls when I eat AYCE sushi. I prefer to eat sushi. Mackerel, yellowtail, scallops, escolar, salmon, very good. I'm definitely coming back here. The service was wonderful. On the good end of AYCE sushi places but on the lower end when it comes to price. They always have a good number of chefs to keep up with whatever crowd is in the place. The sashimi is top notch, high quality fish, which is always the sign of a good sushi restaurant. Literally the one of the best sushi spots we have found in the IE. We bring everyone here! Everything is so fresh and the waiters are very attentive. Favorite roll is Fiesta Roll and the Baked Crawfish. And the spicy garlic edamame is to die for! Definitely me and my Hubby's go to. read more

Used to love this place buttttttt.....things have changed. Waitress wouldn't give us our bill until we ate all of the last 4 bites of sushi and finished . Basically held our bill hostage. Weirdest situation . Said we'd be penalized for 3 or more sushi rolls left. Kept asking if we're going to eat them before she placed the bill down on our table. Awkkwaaarddd. I'll never come back. I just don't get it? Came in at 8:45 time eat when their sign said they close at 10. My friend and I asked for a table when there was 4 empty in the restaurant and they said it would be a 10 minute wait, so my friend and I decide to wait it out because it's only 10 minutes. We come back in at 9 and they turned their open sign off and told us they can't accept anymore customers! I don't get it, does this place want to make money? This is probably the best AYCE joint in the Upland area; I feel ashamed of not realizing it was in my back yard sooner. The quality of the food and service is extraordinary for the price. While the presentation isn't as breathtaking as the more expensive local counterparts', the flavor more than compensates. The nigiri selection is especially good.
