The food here is great. Not only was my spicy lamb pretty delicious but they managed to do a perfect mix of veggies and mushrooms to go with. I would definitely eat my fair share of this dish. My only quibble is the "other" stuff oveshadows the lamb by a lot. I always thought with mixes like this it should be 60% protein and 40% other stuff. This is getting into serious Chinese stir-fry territory into the 33/67. That's one of the reasons I don't like Chinese food as much as some, because the meat seems to be lacking. The service was good. The woman behind the counter took my order competently and got the food out quickly. The one customer concession they lacked is the one that usually annoys me in that they sell cans instead of a fountain drink. I found myself in that limbo again where I was thirsty after my first can and I had to decide if it was worth it to pay for yet another soda. Lastly, the ambiance was good. There's ample space here without feeling crowded to the tables next to you. I definitely get the sense you could relax with a book here after your meal. But, overall, even though the food tastes great, the lack of equitable protein for the price and the lack of refills on a soda make this place only okay. If u ever come back I think one or both of those aspects would have to change. read more

Stopped by Dboy Grill after a workout and came in starving -- and it definitely delivered. The meal I ordered was absolutely perfect, flavorful, and really hit the spot after a long session. You can tell the food is made with care and not just rushed out. Service was a bit on the slower side, but it's understandable since everything is freshly prepared. I was finally able to try out this place. I ordered the Cajun chicken plate, it came with the chicken, vegetables, rice, and soup. It also came with the yum yum sauce, I wish they also had the ginger sauce. To start off the onion soup was clean and flavorful. The chicken was cooked well and had the right amount of spices. I asked for an additional cup of soup but they lady said that it would cost $4 for a tiny cup so I declined. Overall decent place for a meal read more

We wanted to try somewhere new and this place had great reviews. The location is in a shared plaza and there is ample parking. I ordered the Hibachi Steak and Chicken combo along with a Hibachi Burrito. The steak was chewy and fatty, which was disappointing. Both the chicken and steak had very little flavor and the sauce that came with it didn't add much to them. The burrito had a little more flavor, unfortunately the beef was also low quality as it was very tough. After this experience, I don't see myself coming back. This place is a mix of an everyday quick dining restaurant with the flavor and quality of a tappenyaki place. I've tried the steak, chicken, and shrimps entrees and would recommend them all. My kids love the chicken teriyaki kids meals and my husband has enjoyed the yakisoba. read more

We like the food, but the service for takeout leaves a lot to be desired. As I write this, I've been on hold for 10 minutes. I can hear all the noises, the phone has been physically moved a couple of times, but no one has come back to take my order. I don't really understand how they do business in this manner. I ended up hanging up the phone and placing my order through doordash but the price I'm being charged per plate is more expensive than it is on their menu, which I'm not at all happy about. I don't feel like I should be forced to order on a platform that charges a higher price. I should be able to call a restaurant directly and get the price on the menu. This kind of thing leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Did they leave me on hold so long on purpose? Do they want to squeeze more $$ out of customers? This location is bigger than the Ontario location and is open earlier (they serve breakfast, I don't believe the Ontario one does). The person working the counter was super friendly and cheerful. Soup or salad also comes with your meal at this location. I opted for the miso soup, but have also tried their onion soup. Both are really good. My go-to is the steak hibachi and now the popcorn chicken. The food is consistently good here. My 2nd review, i came here by accidently, i saw the open sign at 9am, and i was so curious because i know they usually open around noon, so i checked it out, yes they are now open for breakfast to serve the community only at upland branch. I tried Hibachi Burittos beef teriyaki, was not disappoited, so good and so flavorful. Banana pecan Caramel pancake as well as crunchy strawberry french toast, my daugther loves them. They did call so I left my house which was about 10 mins away. I got there & added an avocado smoothie and paid. Yet I was still waiting another 30 mins in the store for my food. I had ordered a steak & shrimp w/ upgraded for the fried rice & my avocado smoothie was $28. I went home to eat my food. I had asked for my steak medium rare and usually receive it that way. Today it was pretty much well done and hard to chew. And was cut into tiny little pieces. I was very disappointed coming home. So good, I told my husband I wouldn't be mad if he wanted to come back tonight for dinner, lol. Just wanted something quick to share & since we were at a nearby business decided to check this place out. So glad we did. Clean inside. The staff that we dealt with were both super friendly. We order the #6 combo, opted for a salad instead of soup and upgraded to fried rice. The cashier that took our order asked if wanted water (since we didn't order a drink) and with ice or no ice. Most places don't even care... u don't order a drink, they don't offer anything. The water and salad were brought to our table pretty quick. I think we waited a total of 10 min from ordering to the main plate being brought to us. They could have just handed us the container (served in a to go box), but he placed it on the table, opened it & then offered hot sauce or soy sauce. The serving size was good, decent size scoop of rice, lots of veggies and an okay portion of chicken (would've liked to have seen a few more pieces) but overall we were impressed. They close relatively early, but started stacking chairs and cleaning the floor much earlier than they should have making you feel rushed. The serving size wasn't that great.
