One of the most awful sushi places I've been to. We all got the bento box which includes a soup, rice, and salad, but we never got the salad. When I asked about it, the manager lied and said they don't serve salad with it. They are very understaffed and it took 20 mins to pick up an order that I had placed on the phone 40 mins prior. Their customer service is phenomenal... you are always greeted right when you walk in the door, everyone always has a smile on their face, and they are all just SO NICE! Their sushi..... OMG. Maybe coming from the Bay Area makes a difference in my expectations, but I have never been to a sushi restaurant that serves bag salad with brown pieces of iceberg lettuce. We just moved to Corona from the OC and have been looking for a replacement Sushi restaurant. Being that I am a sushi snob and have been coast to coast in my travels and have eaten at a lot of sushi places, I am very particular about my sushi. Marui Sushi meet and exceeded my expectations. The moment we walked in, the atmosphere was friendly and inviting. The staff greeted us with wave and a traditional Japanese greeting. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and made some excellent recommendations for our first visit. Our waitress Wendy was friendly and made the visit fun and very enjoyable The food...the food was amazing!! The sushi was fresh, as if they had caught it just before they served it. I went with yellowtail and red snapper sushi. I also had the Unagi festival roll. WOW...amazing!! If you love sushi and a happy and upbeat atmosphere. We were getting an oil change at Lenny Dyksytras (comes with a free car wash) and I decided I wanted a drink so we came to just have a beer and wait for our car. We ordered two miso soups (perfect amount of tofu and seaweed) and then decided to order a roll to share. We ordered the Spicy Scallop roll which is served as a California roll with a great amount of raw spicy scallop on top. It was thee best I've had. I now know where to come for a quick sushi fix. Service: The service is predictable and fairly quick. I was quite surprised as to how quick and accurately my order was taken and served. I especially appreciate Grace who has a good working attitude and will go the extra mile to ensure the customers are happy with their experience. I visited this sushi place in Corona for dinner with my husband who likes sushi. I normally order noodles or cooked dishes only because I don't eat raw fish. Browsing through the menu, I saw Maine roll which says 'Baked salmon and California roll. ' When i got it, the roll was wrapped with fresh salmon. So we called the server to ask why the menu said baked salmon yet it comes as raw. The server explained, yes it has baked salmon inside the roll but admitting that the salmon outside was raw. She then pointed out that this item is under the Fresh Rolls column. So that redeems the confusion on my part. She then offered to let us order something else to replace it for free. So i asked what can I order that is cooked and not raw. She then pointed to the Baked Rolls section on the menu. So this is where my bad experience takes a turn for the worse. From there I picked 'Eel Festival Roll' , the first item under 'Baked Rolls'. Its description says 'California roll topped with eel and spicy tuna'. I asked the server again , this is cooked right ?and she said yes ! But this time I was very hungry and anxious to get my order and now worried how how it would turn out.When it finally arrived, I was upset to see that it was covered with raw fish again! So we called the server again, and I complained that it is not cooked. No, she said the eel is baked but the raw fish outside was spicy tuna! At that point my heart sank and figured it was hopeless to talk to this server and just to dismiss the whole thing. Did I not make myself clear enough that i wanted a cooked dish? She then worsened the experience when she exclaimed for everyone in the small place, 'Oh you mean you want everything cooked? If you want everything cooked, just order Teriyaki chicken...' At that point I lost track and stopped listening and talking, not to mention embarassed by her loud voice. To make matters worse, when we got our bill, we got no credit for anything. We paid the bill and left the place in disappointment. So this is what led me to ask this question tonight: What happens when you combine a bad menu description and a bad server? "A bad experience, a bad taste and a bad review on Yelp! " Now who wants a burger? read more

There were many positive reviews and we wanted to try a new sushi bar we hadn't been to. I liked the atmosphere. Service was friendly and prompt. The owner was browsing making sure customers were happy. Real Japanese chefs that were upbeat and wow they make delicious food. My friend and I split 3 rolls and we were so full, split the check and each paid $18. Highly recommend the Rock & Roll sushi roll (no rice but very tasty) and the Baked Salmon and Baked Lobster roll! They have real fresh selection of fish here. It doesn't get too busy at lunchtime which I am relieved! The service is pretty quick and friendly here also. I really enjoy their lunch combo's of sashimi, sushi, and galbi. Mmmm it makes my mouth water just thinking about how their galbi tastes! And their sushi is pretty awesome too! But the only thing I wasn't crazy was their marble lobster roll. It had too much sweet mayo for my taste! Oh, and they don't have all you can eat, only individual, so that's a bummer if you want to pig out on sushi. read more

This was a great Japanese show casting Korean people. They tried to speak Japanese but they were obviously Korean. Baked lobster, I am pretty sure was mini craw fish. The inside of the role was large rice grain and imitation crab meat which actually have me a bad headache. This made the roll seem bigger but actually full of &@#! read more
