I'd heard the owner has run several sushi spots around the city, so I was excited to try it -- so excited that I accidentally showed up half an hour before they even opened. To be fair, I wasn't the only one -- once I realized my mistake, I noticed several other people waiting it out in their cars too. The wait for my food ended up being almost 50 minutes, but that one was on me for showing up so early -- and it was absolutely worth it. The rolls were excellent quality and reasonably priced. I ordered mine to go, so things were a little deconstructed in the box, but they still included all the toppings, which I appreciated. Inside, the restaurant has this neon, lively, Japanese-inspired vibe. Everyone welcomed me right away, and the staff was super friendly. This is definitely one of those places I need to go back and sit down for a proper meal -- my girlfriend's already asking to go back too, and honestly, we might just end up going again tonight. read more

The buffet is reasonably priced and they offer a lunch and dinner option. I went for dinner and it was $32.99. You can order off the dinner menu or the all you can eat menu. Ordering for the AYCE is easy! There is a kiosk at your table from which you order. The food comes out quick and easy and in no particular order. I tried the jalapeño yellowtail, the popcorn scallop on a California roll , chicken, teriyaki, and garlic edamame. Your AYCE includes a free dessert- it is whipped ice cream on Strawberry or Vanilla flavors. I got the strawberry and it was delicious, not too sweet, and a great way to cleanse the palate. Overall, this place is a lot of fun. It's a little loud, but that is expected. The vibe is fun and there were a lot of birthdays that day, so it was fun to see the entire restaurant participate in celebrating people's birthdays. First time trying this place. Met up with friends who had been here before so they kinda just took over the ordering process. There is a self ordering tablet at every table where you can add items to your tab. They have everything from appetizers, sushi, rolls, sides, etc. that is included in the AYCE menu. I also appreciated that orders come in small batches so you can definitely try different items without getting too full right away. My friends kept ordering different types of sushi and they were brought out to our table right away. I didn't have time to take photos because everyone was just digging in, haha. Servers did keep checking in on us to refill our drinks and ask if everything was ok. I think it can be overwhelming at first, but the service staff was friendly and I think would help anyone having issues with the tablet or ordering. The sushi itself was better than I expected. The rice was a little hard but the fish portions were generous. It definitely didn't feel like you were just getting full on rice. The rolls were also really good and decent sized. We were able to order half rolls as well. We all got to try a little of everything. Everything was delicious. At the end of it all, they brought our bill and gave us a little ice cream cup for dessert (the ones we would get as kids, with the wooden spoon). We got the option of chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry. I opted for chocolate. So make sure to leave some room for dessert. Overall, a great spot for a quick and easy AYCE. This place is awesome for a variety of reasons but one reason is my biggest standout. First of all, so happy to see a wonderful Korean-owned sushi spot that is not too far from where I am. The place is pretty spacious but I can imagine it being packed on a busy night. You order through a screen but that can be confusing bc I didn't know what came out and I think a few things were missing but then by the time you realize it, you're full OR you think it's missing and order it again and later on it's like a double order so that part can be a little tricky. I also LOVE that they don't pile on rice for the sushi. It's quite small actually which makes for the perfect bite and you're not just eating rice. So I really hope they don't become one of those restaurants that start to put so much rice like other places once they start doing well. Sushi One Spot is probably my favorite AYCE sushi ever. When I found out the owners were the original owners from Asahi, everything made sense. I've been here enough times now that the consistency and quality really deserve a proper review. A lot of the rolls here are truly chef's kiss. I love that most of them come in 4 pieces instead of the usual 8, so you can try way more without tapping out early. My go to roll are the One Spot Roll, the Nagoya, and the IDK Roll. Highly recommend all three. Honestly, just order whatever sounds good because everything I've tried has been consistently solid. As much as I love the rolls, the nigiri is my personal favorite. If you love salmon as much as I do, this place will make you very happy. They have so many variations; Cajun salmon, lemon pepper salmon, garlic salmon, and more. The garlic salmon is my top pick. Drinks are a little on the pricier side but they're good and worth it considering how cheap the AYCE is. Definitely recommend. Plenty of parking. We had two new servers with us who we were patient with, and they did great. Also helped having an experienced server chime in every now and then. Good people. First of all, $32 per person for dinner, and so many choices that were incredible. We had so many favorites, but our number one favorites was the Cajun Salmon Nigiri! Wow I've never had anything like it. We usually enjoy the regular salmon nigiri, and while it was nice and we had many, it did not compare to the butter, spicy perfect flavor of the Cajun salmon! Another surprising favorite was the chicken wings. I actually don't prefer chicken wings ever... but I saw someone get a few and I was not disappointed! My boyfriend and I were like we need more of these chicken wings! They are cracked... in a good way! Other favorites included the salmon collar, Jen Jen, and the spicy garlic edamame. It is a decently large location with a cute Japanese theme filled with cherry blossoms and Japanese posters. If you are looking to celebrate an occasion or be by yourself, they have the capability to fit you in. Love that they have a self-ordering tablet at your table so you don't have to wait to order. The restaurant have two options for dining, all you can eat and a la carte. I recommend if you know you plan to order more than 3 dishes, the all you can eat is worth it, especially when you can try the varieties. If you go during the weekday for lunch time, they have a tasting menu that's so cheap for $21.99, but if you like your nigiri, the upgraded full menu price is worth it as well. Another positive thing to note, is the size of the sushi portion is small in ayce, like around 4 pieces with small amount of rice, so you can try more different sushis. They even have vegetable roll for your friends that are vegetarian. We decided to try this place because our go-to for AYCE sushi in Corona has closed! This place is pretty similar in variety and quality. In both cases, quite good, particularly considering the price. Note the size of the sushi -- it's a bit smaller than you might expect. But since this is AYCE, I actually prefer it this size -- small enough to pop it comfortably into your mouth. Just order about 50% more than you might at a different (non-AYCE) place Also, the rolls are only 3 or 4 pieces rather than 6 or 8. I LOVE this. At other AYCE places I fear ordering a roll because it's sometimes so big you can't eat anything else. This size is great. You can always order more if you really love it. But for me, I can order a couple of rolls and not worry about it totally filling me up. Also, I love the ordering system. Just tap on the screen and order. You don't have to flag down your busy server. Also, there's no "cool off" period after an order. I've been to some places where you have to get it right because after you put in an order you can't order again for 10 minutes. This place, you can order something, decide you want something more, and put in another order immediately. I love it. Finally, I like that they have cup ramen. Obviously, I'd prefer something more elegant. But if you don't want to deal with having to have all the ingredients for ramen on hand, just offer instant ramen. Cool. You don't get to order nigiri with this special price, but there is enough variety that you will get plenty full. The service was lovely, the fish tasted fresh, and I love that their rolls come in half portion (4 pieces) so you can try more. Granted, the rolls were all on the saucier side and there's a ton of options with spicy tuna (which I don't like). You order off a tablet fixed to each table which made it pretty easy to keep track. I would recommend actually ordering a lot more during your earlier rounds, because the food comes out pretty slow. It has such a fun, bright, and family-friendly vibe. There are claw machines, cute wall décor, and an overall welcoming atmosphere. The sushi is absolutely the best here. I noticed that at the Montclair location, the sushi started tasting different--that's when I realized the original owners had sold that restaurant. Seeing the original owners at the Corona location was such a relief--they're warm, attentive, and provide excellent service. For my cousin's birthday, they even gave ice cream to all the kids and made sure everyone was taken care of. The sushi itself is amazing for all-you-can-eat. The only roll I did not like so far was the mango fruit roll but the banana fruit roll was okay. But everything else is so good. The staff is maybe the friendliest staff of any restaurant I've been to in a long time. You have to try the One Spot roll-- it's the name of the restaurant after all! Three kinds of fish wrapped in rice paper with just enough of a tangy sauce on the plate to make it exciting. We have an avocado allergy in our family so no avocado on top, but honestly I don't think it needed it. The fish is so soft and fresh. The Golden Orange roll gives you several flavor experiences with creamy salmon and the thinnest, most perfect slice of lemon on top. The caterpillar roll is the standard roll, except seemingly fresher here than elsewhere. The Angry Eel roll was crunchy and had just the right mix of fried and fresh ingredients.
