So fire ! Me and my family went on a Sunday afternoon and even though it was a 15 min wait (not long at all). The food came out fresh and quickly. Service was great and attentive! The salmon albacore shrimp tuna yellowtail and even the beef nigiri were FRESH and all of the seared, garlic & Mexican fusion rolls (aguachile) & nigiri were all on point!! Best in corona hands down. The quality of food here was a 10/10. I loved all the appetizers that they had to offer, especially the fried squid legs. Those are so good. The baked mussels! AMAZING!! Honestly, I ate the appetizers way too fast for my own good. I didn't even have a chance to take a picture of them. We ordered: fried squid legs, takoyaki, fried soft shell crab, jalapeno poppers, miso soup, and baked mussels. I mean yes of course we ordered the sushi and sushi rolls, but to be honest I feel like a sushi place has to have good apps for it to make me think it's good!! For the sushi, the rice portion was fair! Additionally all the fish we ordered was very fresh. We also were offered carpaccios on the menu. So delicious. Very cool to have a Mexican Japanese fusion with sushi! The avocado sauce that topped some of the dishes was super delicious! One of the things I did not like were the salads. The pictures of the salad were a little misleading. I ordered avocado salad and it was pictured as like 2 avocados sliced on a bed of lettuce but when received it, there was actually a lot of salad and only 3 slices of avocado. The service was really fast! They responded quick to our needs and requests. We were part of the first group of customers and I was worried the staff would have been overwhelmed with way too many orders at the very start of the day, however it was really swift and organized. The restaurant is super clean and there really is a lot of space in between the chairs and tables. I always have a bit of a complaint when the restaurant feels crowded but this one is perfectly spaced. I don't have any complaints for the interior. Parking is also very easy! My friends and I waited about an hour to eat at Sushi Loco, which made it feel like this place was really going to live up to the hype, and it definitely did. The sushi was so fresh and flavorful, and the staff was incredibly kind and attentive despite how busy it was. There was a small mix-up with another table's order. The AYCE policy is one soft shell crab per person, but we accidentally received another table's plate. We didn't realize it until we had already eaten some of it, but once we noticed, we let the server know and gave them the ticket it came with. It was a little awkward, but the staff handled it calmly and professionally, which we appreciated. One thing to note is that there's no strict order limit, so we got a little excited and ordered a ton of nigiri all at once. Because of that, it did take a while for everything to come out. The appetizers tended to arrive first, so I recommend pacing yourself when ordering so you're not waiting too long between rounds or getting full too quickly. Aside from that, everything else came out correctly and was absolutely delicious. The rolls were creative, well made, and definitely a hit with my group, everyone kept talking about their favorites. Even with the long wait, the overall experience felt worth it. The music was very early 2010s, which honestly added a fun, nostalgic vibe to the whole night. Sushi Loco is located in a strip mall on Corona and located off the 15 fwy. Just be careful because it easy to miss the entrance to the strip mall. It's a clean and modern place. Went here with my buddy to try their AYCE sushi. It's $30 for lunch and $35 for dinner. We did have to wait 30 minutes to be seated. We forgot to get on the Yelp waitlist while we were driving to the restaurant. They have a feed selection of sushi, carpaccio, fried foods, noodles, and appetizers that are part of the AYCE menu. There is a 90 minute limit on AYCE. Service is really good and the staff is friendly. They took our order promptly and brought the food quickly. We basically never ran out of food until we were full! Some caveats: drinks are extra, sashimi is not part of the AYCE menu, and there is a charge for uneaten food. So 4 out of 5 stars. read more

When we got there, we signed in and waited for our text message to be seated. The wait was about 25 mins for a table of 4. The pricing for AYCE is reasonable. The kids usually don't eat much sushi so we never do AYCE for them and always get à la carte items but pricing for AYCE for kids is very reasonable and pretty worth it since à la carte would've been more expensive. The waiter was very helpful. Appetizers for AYCE is smaller but you can order multiples. Everything is included in the AYCE menu minus the bento box so it wasn't bad to just do AYCE for the kids too. The food ordering was simple, you scan the QR code, look through each section and order on the app and the food comes out. They also have a sauce bar and ice cream area. The sauce bar, I think I can do without it since ppl always tend to drop things onto other areas within the bar and it just gets mixed together and gross. I rather just ask for ginger and get it brought to me without have to dig or move things since the area where the wasabi was, was right next to the ginger and it was literally getting mixed into it. One of the BEST sushi spots in the IE! SERVICE: This place is POPULAR by the locals. So expect to wait an hour if you're go between 3-7pm. If it's packed, you'll need to go inside and check yourself in through the machine. When it's not packed, service is pretty quick! ATMOSPHERE: The space inside is pretty large, and the servers have been pretty attentive. You'll see a robot rolling around serving your sushi too! There's also a little condiment station at the back where you can grab some ginger & sauces (love that!). FOOD: The sushi is fresh! I've never had a concern. Hosted a Sunday birthday lunch for a party of 16, and it was a great experience. Docking a Star for the loud music and lack of a system to track which items have been delivered and which are still to come out. TLDR: highly recommend, especially for lunch before the crowds arrive. Service was friendly and attentive. Cassandra and Jonathan were our primary servers, and they accommodated our large party (4 tables of 4), half of whom were seniors who found it difficult to hear the ordering instructions and needed additional support to place their AYCE orders through their smartphones. The restaurant has a mix of booth and table seating that can accommodate large parties; arriving as soon as they opened made it simpler to sit together without a wait. We used 1 device per table to order, which they consolidated into one ticket at the end. Our table started with the nigiri before diving into the appetizers as the restaurant charges for leftover sushi. We maxed out on the carpaccio and soft shell crab, and limited the number of rolls and "filler" . While our receipt was one of the longest that the server said he'd seen, we did really well with our order, with nearly no leftovers. The Mexican-inspired/fusion items were a big hit, especially with the different sauces (aguachile, jalapeño, chili garlic). The tuna, salmon and white tuna were fresh and the soups well seasoned. We ordered one baked roll that I wasn't a fan of, but others liked. Other favorites included the creamy ramen, seared beef nigiri, shrimp tempura, crispy squid, nacho French fries and green mussels. I'd pass on the salmon poke on wonton chip. Our orders were delivered by hand and by a robot server. As I mentioned earlier, it was difficult to keep track of which dishes had already been delivered -- the servers would ask if everything had come out, but we'd lost track since no one told us what the dishes that did come were. I think there might have been a mixup with the initial delivery, with our table receiving some of another table from our party's order. It would be nice to be able to look at our order online and see which had already been made and sent out so we could gauge whether to order more. As we were preparing to close out our order, they asked if we were celebrating anything. When they learned we were there for a birthday, they brought out a slice of cheesecake with a sparkler candle and sang happy birthday, which was sweets All in all, a nice addition to this shopping plaza, which includes Thai, Korean and Mexican eateries. read more

Wait time was about 30-40 min on a busy Sunday night, AYCE was $34.99/person which honestly is a better value than if you were to order individual items for a small party of like 2. You order through your phone(AYCE) by scanning the QR Code on the table. You can order as much as you want at once. Few items limit to one per person. They'll take your order if you aren't. Food was really delicious, all of the sushi we received that night tasted fresh, the apps were good as well (non sushi) except the chicken karaage, it just came out sad. Menu has so much variety, which I love. There are sushi options and also kbbq and ramen if you'd like. Our favorites were all the carpaccios and the salmon rollin no rice roll. Here are some things that made me rethink my 5/5 stars: When you get here, you have 90 mins total, including 75 mins to order. They are veryyyy strict with the time and we weren't reminded until the very end. They have a countdown and will be eyeing you like a hawk. There was also a huge gap between our food orders, meaning many didn't come until near the end. I get that there are many people waiting but I wish there were more flexibility in their policies, especially when we ordered some rolls in the beginning which didn't come until the very end. They really will charge you for each piece you don't finish so be extremely aware of that. Because of the long wait between the rolls, we were pretty rushed by the end of our time, which was frustrating. I was a little weary of this place at first as I've only been to places in OC. I can say this place was nice. The sushi here can be a hit or miss. The salmon nigiri was frozen and you could tell as the outside was warm but the inside was colder than the outside. Other than that the food was pretty good! I really enjoyed the sushi roll I had from here! I can't remember the exact name of it, since I placed an online order for pick up. What I loved is that even though it wasn't ready when I got there, they let me wait inside and an employee packaged it up immediately once it was ready. I know I will feel miserable if I overeat, and the Scotch in me hates paying inflated prices when I know I will usually nibble. So I choose not to go. So, I ignored this place until my daughter convinced me that, not only was it very good, but I would easily pay as much, if not more, ordering the few dishes I liked elsewhere. She knows me well. She was right. Things I ended up loving? The sashimi, carpaccio, poke (both the salad and the poke nachos). The couple sushi rolls we tried were delicious, with noticeable restraint used on the rice, and the rice was moist and flavorful. The sauces they used were great, too. The fish was very fresh and odorless. Things I found disappointing: Shrimp Tempura Hawaiian pork belly Hamachi kama (collar) On one side of the room you can find a little freezer unit filled with cups of ice cream. There is also a condiment table for getting ginger, sauces, etc. Overall, a good deal, especially for the raw fish. Happy hour lunch lasts until 3 pm and the price is discounted to $29. We were there about a week ago, mind you we had to drive from Fullerton to just come back to this place which I loved the first time we came. Unfortunately our 2nd time was not so great, the food is always good but the nigiri was a bit warm because of the rice, I think they had just done a new batch. Anyway, the food is great here but the service is pretty slow especially if they have a timer in the iPad order thingy they gave us. Like give us our food on time if you're gonna keep passing by and asking if everything is ok because you see us just sitting there! And then you tell us we have like 15 to make our last order and which we had already placed it like 10 minutes before but we didn't get it yet and then when we did get our order we didn't get all of the nigiri's that we had ordered! So we just said forget it and paid and left. I don't think we will be coming back if they don't staff enough people so the orders are put out in time and they calm down with hurrying people too. Saw this place advertised on Instagram and wanted to go try their AYCE Japanese sushi/Latin fusion. Since the hubby is gluten-free, we were taking a chance driving all the way there since nobody picked up their phones. When you arrive, you put your name on the 'join waitlist' that's outside the restaurant. After doing that, I walked in and asked somebody if they had any gluten-free soy sauce and after a couple conversations, I found out that they did and that they were happy to accommodate this preference. Like any other AYCE, it's a 90 minute max time. If you do something stupid like I did, not actually pressing the 'submit button' when you placed your order on your phone, they will happily extend that 90 minutes based on when they catch the mistake. But for this cool place, it had a salsa bar/sauce bar that you helped yourself to in addition to the robots that could bring you your food, depending on what you ordered. Our server was very accommodating for the hubby's gluten-free sensitivity. They allowed him to substitute the imitation crab meat for spicy tuna. Tried a variety of items off their menu. Miso soup hella salty not great it looked like miso paste and chopped tofu . The spicy cucumbers were drenched in mad sauce which made it so gross & just not a good texture at all . The fried shrimps in the green sauce was actually good think of fried shrimps & a cilantro creamy avocado sauce. As far as the sushi I'd stay clear from the orange & cherry blossom it had Too much imitation crab , the eel was soggy side . I do like their rice to sushi ratio . I think overall it was worth the current price points, but not to die for or worth driving a distance for. 3.5 overall rounded down. Food (3/5) - We tried basically everything. the good - fish texture on nigiri/carpaccio was great, flavor was fine. the "fusion" flavors and sauces did work pretty well here, I just didn't care for any of the seared pieces. or the beef one. or the rolls. eel nigiri had bones in it. presentation was good, portion sizes were fine but the sushi rice was not good. the bad - pretty much all the fried/appetizer items were not finishable/really fishy or not cooked well BUT the corn cheese and the garlic edamame was FIRE. now for the ugly - calling THAT ramen is criminal with undercooked noodles and broth that tasted like black pepper water, and unfortunately the KBBQ we tried was flavorless overcooked and not worth finishing. There is a "salsa bar" style sushi fixings, all the sauces you want. No more asking for more, or getting something you don't want. My new favorite ayce sushi place. This restaurant has the perfect rice to fish ratio. They also have a self service station for sauces, wasabi, ginger and my favorite part, sliced jalapeños. Love having a slice with every sushi piece, no matter what it is. Sushi was fresh and delicious. Every single item I loved. If I had to select highlights, the yellowtail jalapeno, la fusion salmon, la fusion yellowtail, seared salmon, and yellowtail kama. The caliente items were good if you like spicy, though I do find those items overly sauced. It overpowers the delicate fish flavors. I ended up scrapping most of it off to my liking. Came back to Sushi Loco for the 2nd time (3rd for my husband), and the food was just as good as the first visit! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and consistent. Even my 8-year-old chimed in with, "I give it a 10/10!" Our server, Naomi, was wonderful--so attentive, friendly, kept our drinks refilled, and quickly cleared our table without us having to ask. Service like that really makes the experience even better. We'll definitely be coming back again! read more

When I saw this place listed on yelp I got really excited. The main reason for my visit was to taste their Agua Chile Sushi. Usually that is something I have to drive 2 hours for in Sylmar. When I saw it was close to home I had high hopes. Good: * Prices are fair and they also give fair portions. * You have a large selection to choose from * They put a Mexican twist on a portion of their menu Honestly I only have one complaint and that is the overall taste. In my opinion the food was mid. I did take the food to-go and I have a feeling that's what messed it up but I don't think I will go back. I just was not impressed with the taste. read more

My family and I have been here several times already and love how fresh and good their food is. It's a huge place with plenty of staff members to help. They even have a robot to help deliver food. We've been there when it's not so busy to times when it is packed. We've had really great, attentive servers. We appreciate their trust in us when some of us in our table don't each much like our younger children. They don't have to sit separately from those who want AYCE. We are allowed 90min of dining with 75min to order whatever we want. I wished we didn't have to use one phone to place our orders -- it's okay for a small group but can get confusing and inefficient with a large number of people. We love that there's a huge variety of menu items to choose from. They also have a sauce bar! I like their sauces but their aguachile sauce stands out most because not a lot of sushi places have this, and I think it goes so well with seafood! The portions make sense if you want to try various items without getting too full soon. I love their fresh and tempura and Mexican flavor rolls, seared salmon on top, tuna carpaccio, salmon collar, yellowtail collar, tuna belly, Korean fried chicken, Mexican ramen (surprisingly delicious ), and more...They do have free ice cream next to the sauce bar, but we prefer the smaller cups with either mango or matcha flavor, ones we haven't seen in awhile. Naomi was our server. Food was good, we had a nice time and with our family. Order came out quick. Seating was quick. I left the above review to avoid getting charged for leftovers. They stated we will have waivers of "8 pieces" of food if we leave the review. What we had leftover was a tiny bit of the garlic noodle. 3 pieces of some sort of salad filled with mayonnaise and raw fish which was really not eatable. 2 pieces of what they called fusion sushi where it was drenched in some mysterious sauce. We also ordered a Mexican ramen which was intolerably spicy and sour. I get they were trying to be creative and making some fusion but I was crying inside eating them. Think of pineapples on pizza. Serviced was not to par. Food was really not great. Some pieces of fish was fresh (tuna and hamachi) But I felt I need to warn people for this "leftover" policy. I asked Naomi if their policy was clean plate she said yes. Even if you don't like the food. So be aware if you go. The taste of food is subjective as above. read more
