They are so sweet and so kind and accommodating. I requested the salmon and tuna to be seared to enhance the flavors and they seared it perfectly. The food is fresh always, neatly prepared, packed safely and condiments always provided upon request.

Hours online (yelp, Google, Apple Maps) all agree that they are not closed during lunch time, but for some reason, we've been here twice now and the door was locked. Sign clearly says Open. Not sure what's going on with this establishment, but if you're going to be closed for lunch, please update your hours online so you don't keep wasting our time. Can't confirm/deny the quality of the food because we haven't been able to try it. Ambiance: 1st visit door was locked but lights were on and woman opened the door to let us know they were closed (didn't say why) and 2nd visit lights were off and door was locked. So frustrating, we were excited to try it.

Pretty solid sushi for the price. Me and my coworkers love to go here for lunch. They free have self-serve hot tea as well.

Twice I've come to this location, and twice it's been closed--even though both Yelp and Google list the business as open during those hours, and the signage at the location also says it should be open. Yet both times, I arrived to find the doors locked with no explanation. It's incredibly frustrating and a complete waste of time. Unfortunately, there won't be a third visit.

Amazing. Love mom and pop places. Definitely budget friendly. But soo good for the price. Definitely coming back. My kids loved the chicken teriyaki and they are super picky eaters. Service was good the lady was super nice. Highly recommend

Will be adding more to my review but this location was extremely delicious! Some of the freshest sushi I have ever had!

Loved it! local friendly and affordable. Sushi was really fresh, rice was tasty and service was friendly. Great place for a quick bite or to go

We were passing through Corona with friends and decided to grab some sushi. Found Musashi's on Yelp and gave it a try. Really glad we did. The staff was super friendly and made us feel welcome right away. The atmosphere had that classic sushi bar vibe, relaxed and enjoyable. Everything we ordered was fresh and really tasty. I do want to highlight their signature Musashi roll. I saw people mention it in the Yelp reviews and decided to try it. It did not disappoint. Definitely a standout dish. Great spot overall and I would absolutely recommend it if you are in the area.

My friend and I called in and ordered food for pick up around dinner time. The process was really easy. We called in and placed our order as we Had the menu open on our phone. The lady said it would be a 15-20 minute wait. I went to pick up our order in 15 minutes and the food was ready. Picked up and paid for the food was really fast. When we got to my friend's place to eat our dinner, everything looked so good. The price of the dinner sushi nigiri was reasonable for the amount of food we got. Although the fish to rice ratio wasn't really to my liking. It was a lot of rice to the fish. My negative is I also ordered edamame. I could tell the taste was off. It was seemed over cook. Either it was overcooked or it was made earlier on in the day (morning/lunch) and I was just given pre made edamame rather than a fresh batch ‍ Can't really comment on the place since we didn't eat there, but it looks clean. There are a lot of seating.

Hands down THE BEST sushi for the price I've ever had. As someone who loves getting sushi and trying different rolls, this place genuinely did not disappoint when it came to both quality and price. I ordered the tuna roll (tekka maki), 4 pieces of nigiri, miso soup, and 2 salmon onigiris, and it all came out to UNDER $20. I was honestly shocked. The tuna was NOT fishy at all. No weird aftertaste, super clean and fresh. The seared salmon literally melts in your mouth, and again, zero fishy taste. The unagi had such a nice smoky flavor from being torched, which made it even better. The tuna nigiri (not pictured because I devoured it immediately) was so light and refreshing. The miso soup was super good (like every comforting miso soup should be) but I also loved that it had tofu skin, which I think is such a cool addition compared to other sushi spots. They literally make everything right there in front of you, which makes the experience even better. I also shared the Musashi Roll and I HIGHLY recommend it. It might look overwhelming, but it's surprisingly clean and refreshing in flavor. I'm 100% coming back again. If you love good sushi at an amazing price, this is the spot

Musashi is a great little hole in the wall Sushi spot. My niece came out to Visit and wanted sushi so I found this spot. I was skeptical since the restaurant was empty... but after our meal I was surprised it was not more packed. The restaurant is small, it a lot of seating but is great for date nights or small groups: they have tv's playing sports or music and they have a nice cherry blossom theme with lights and it was nice. The service was great I know where were the only ones there but they made sure we were tended to. They also have hot tea and water available for you and I did not notice till after which made me sad lol Next time I'll get some for sure. My niece got the beef rice bowl, with a California roll without the shrimp since she is allergic to. I got the dragon roll, the musashis roll, seaweed salad and the crispy onigiri. I really enjoyed every especially the.crispy onigiri!! Both my rolles were very delicious and freshly my niece really enjoyed her beef bowl and we were both very Satisfied. They do have a fairly limited menu but the food was enjoyable. I appreciated the simplicity of this restaurant and the sushi was great. One thing I would recommend is having. Pictures of the different rolls because it could be more Enticing to get other rolls based on how delicious they look. Outside of that we will be back and look forward to more!!

OMG! Is this the same Musashi's from Seattle?? We ate there and their Bellevue WA location for years when we lived up there and it was the best sushi and best value outside of spending $300 for omakase. Too exciting!!

I used to love eating here, and especially when Bruce or an experienced Sushi chef were making the food, it was always a great food experience. However, there were times when I would show up and they had an inexperienced person filling in for a Sushi chef. These people have no business touching raw fish. They're not properly trained and have filthy habits. On two occasions after eating there I had to rush home to use the bathroom. Last year, the same thing happened where no Sushi chef was present and this young guy was filling in. He was handling trash and writing something down with a pen, then proceeded to grab raw salmon and a sushi knife. At that point, I just stood up and said "aren't you going to wash your hands?" He apologized but I was thoroughly disgusted and told the owner that I can't eat here anymore.

Yoshioishi Sushi & Ramen had solid reviews, so we decided to pivot and give it a try. First impression: the menu is extensive. It's one of those places where you almost don't know where to start. The fan favorites are marked with a red flower, which helped narrow things down. We also asked our server for suggestions, which made it easier to navigate. We arrived just before 5pm and there was only one other table. We were told to sit anywhere we'd like. By the time we left, the restaurant was filling up and it seemed like there were quite a few regulars coming in. Here's what we tried: Salted edamame: Just average. A bit limp and not as crisp as I'm used to, so they didn't feel especially fresh. Gyoza: Really nice flavor and the dipping sauce was well balanced. These were solid. Yellowtail jalapeño sashimi: This was different in a good way. It had cilantro and a slightly sweeter sauce instead of the traditional garlic ponzu. Unexpected, but a pleasant surprise. Crispy chicken karaage: Slightly over fried but still flavorful. The dipping sauce helped. Crispy rice with spicy tuna: Just okay. One piece barely had tuna on top. Not bad, but not something I'd reorder. Cucumber salad: Served on a bed of iceberg lettuce, which surprised us, but the dressing had great flavor. This disappeared quickly. Nigiri: The salmon was incredibly fresh and one of the highlights. The albacore and toro came topped with fresh wasabi, which was a nice touch. We really enjoyed the salmon and albacore. The toro didn't quite melt in your mouth like we hoped. It was a bit chewy. Crazy Salmon Roll: Good flavor, but note that the salmon on the outside is fully cooked. We expected raw, so just something to keep in mind. Snow Mountain Roll: A fan favorite at the table. Great texture and flavor. Plain udon and plain ramen: Both were excellent. The broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles were cooked perfectly, and the portions were generous. We definitely over ordered, but we left very full. One small detail for fellow tea lovers: I always look forward to hot tea at a Japanese restaurant, especially when it's served in a small pot you can refill at the table. Here it was hot water with a tea bag in a metal cup, which was too hot to comfortably hold, and there was no teapot provided. Not a deal breaker, but next time I'd probably skip the tea. Service was strong. In addition to our main server, two other team members checked in and refilled water regularly, which we appreciated. Overall, I'd call it a 3.5 if that were an option, so I'm landing at 3 stars. The food was decent, the atmosphere comfortable, and the service attentive. It didn't completely wow us, but we're glad we tried it.

They have an impressive menu, very diverse. I like that you can order either large sushi rolls, or the smaller, Happy Hour, 5 pc. size so you can try more and not hate yourself as much when you waddle out the door. The rolls are beautifully made, made with very fresh ingredients, the ratio of rice to filling is perfect (i.e. not too much rice), and the rice is nicely flavored. Their tempura has great flavor, the poke salad is outstanding, the miso soup is rich, not watered down, but the biggest "prize" IMHO is the fish collar (kama), either salmon or hamachi. Here is where you separate the men from the boys. They do not sell old kama that has come from a food supplier's bag, frozen. They only use fresh, the same quality as their sushi, because it comes from the same whole fish they have selected to filet for sushi. Taste it and you know you have hit the jackpot. Before they broil it, they simply slather Japanese mayo on it and salt & pepper. There is something about the mayo that makes it sing a whole new tune. The kama is moist, tender, and comes with their tasty, house ponzu sauce. It's a real treat. Bonus points for being very reasonably priced relative to other sushi houses and they tend to be larger as well. To take advantage of the Happy Hour menu, it is available every day of the week. Monday through Thursday until 7pm, Friday through Sunday until 5 pm. It's an abbreviated menu but has great choices, fairly priced. Their service is tops, seating is limited (probably not more than 40), the interior is warm and quaint, and parking is no problem. And don't forget to respond to their friendly farewell with a duplicate, heartfelt "See you tomorrow" as you leave! Enjoy!

Our anticipation for a special family meal was unfortunately tempered by several service issues that we believe warrant your attention. Upon being seated, our party experienced a significant delay of approximately forty-five minutes before a chef was assigned to our table to commence the cooking process. This initial wait was further compounded when, upon the chef's eventual arrival, it became apparent that he did not have all the necessary ingredients readily available to prepare the meals for our group of eight, causing additional minor delays. Despite these operational challenges, we were pleased to observe a notable improvement in our dining experience once the chef began cooking and actively engaging with our table. The quality of the cuisine was exceptional, with everyone thoroughly enjoying the delicious food prepared. However, we must also highlight a comfort issue that affected our overall experience. The air conditioning system appeared to be insufficient in counteracting the considerable heat generated by the hibachi cooking tables, leading to a somewhat uncomfortably warm environment throughout our meal. We trust this feedback will be valuable in identifying areas for improvement to ensure a more consistently seamless and comfortable dining experience for your future patrons. We stumbled upon Rakki when we first moved to Chino Hills in 2023, and took a break from coming when our son was in the oven. It was definitely our go to Sushi spot when we had the energy to make it out there. We loved the various choices of nigiri, sushi rolls and even the appetizers. Shortly before they closed, the owner even gave us a complimentary yellowtail collar which was absolutely delicious, amazingly flavorful and super juicy (we never ordered this previously, since we always went with the AYCE option). The AYCE was very reasonably priced for what you got, and could be considered on the very cheap end, for quality of the food you got and options available. Rakki Sushi got high praises from our foodie friends who would visit us as well. The chef and staff were always super nice, they always came to check on how we were doing when they weren't too overwhelmed with the busyness, and we loved how super friendly they were. Our son loved the staff as well, and he always gave them smiles back in response to theirs. The ambience was more of a local/casual sushi spot, rather than somewhere fancy, which my wife and I greatly enjoyed since we like dressing comfortably in just t-shirts and joggers. The tables, seats, and utensils were always clean when we went there. The men's restroom wasn't the cleanest looking, but given the location it was understandable. Plus, we were there for the food, and not really to strictly use the restroom. We greatly miss you Rakki Sushi and hope you are able to come back one day!

The place didn't look like much from the outside -- a little run down in an older strip mall. But you can't judge a restaurant from the facade. I wouldn't say it's the best sushi I've ever had -- it's not. But for an AYCE place -- wow, it's pretty good. My previous favorite place was tomikawa in Irvine, but this place might be better. All the sushi we had was pretty fresh. And the other stuff we had such as jalapeno poppers and gyoza were very flavorful and tasty. The baked scallop could have been a little less runny, but the flavor was very good. The pieces of sushi are all very small -- I provide a picture with my index finger for perspective. Since the place is AYCE, this isn't a diss... Just something you should know. So if you think you want 4 large pieces of sushi, you might order 6 or even 8 here. In a way, I actually liked the smaller pieces, as they're easier to pop in your mouth and chew, and you can easily order a lot of different kinds to try without worrying that you can't finish all of them. The only thing missing is udon or ramen. I like to finish off a meal with a little warm noodles, and that's a notable miss. I'm not sure it's totally worth a deliberate trip from Irvine ... But we're definitely going to stop by any time we're in the area.
