After much consideration, we decided on purchasing Dekton countertops because of durability, its modern look, and no maintenance. Michael, the owner's team, came out took measurements and on the day of the build they did a promo job. They made sure specifications fit our kitchen and installed our under sink sink. Everything looked great and was level. We had purchased a big enough slab to also allow for a waterfall countertop, which was the highlight of our kitchen. They worked with our existing cabinets and just replaced the countertop. More recently. We had my mom visiting and she accidentally chipped our Dekton countertops along the edge of the inner sink. Michael and his team were prompt to get out within a few days and repair the chip. They even resealed our sink at our request. His team was quick and you cannot tell where the damage was. We truly appreciate the follow-through and the effort to make it right. While the process to get here was frustrating at times, the end result is what we had hoped for from the start. Thank you to the team for addressing our concerns. UPDATE/REPLY TO OWNER: After I posted this review, the owner replied and said that seam variation is normal and that they always try to make seams as minimal and consistent as possible. That all sounds reasonable -- but here's what the reply leaves out. The seam we're concerned about has visible glue residue and looks just like the others did, which they had already cleaned up successfully during the same install. The only difference? By the time we brought this one up, we'd already paid in full. We weren't asking for perfection -- just for this last seam to be finished to the same standard. Instead, we were told "nothing can be done," and no one even offered to come take a look. Honestly, it turned what had been a great experience into a really frustrating one. Most of the work looks good, but the way things were handled after the fact left us feeling like we weren't valued once the payment cleared. ORIGINAL REVIEW: We hired this company because of their excellent reviews, competitive pricing, and ability to work within our timeline -- and overall, we're somewhat happy with how the countertops turned out. When we met Steven, we emphasized how important it was to us that the seams be as minimal as possible. When we reviewed the templates, we raised concerns about one seam being placed in a very prominent location. We were told it had to go there, but that every effort would be made to minimize its appearance. During installation, the team was friendly and professional. On the first day, they noticed that the quartz pieces had some bowing issues (apparently, this can happen if the slabs are stored outside, which these were). The owner called to explain that they needed to correct the bowing to ensure the seams would be less noticeable. This adjustment delayed their initial timeline of 7 days after templating. The team added braces to the countertops and returned a few days later. There were additional delays getting the waterfall edges and windowsill installed, but once everything was in place, we were generally satisfied with the overall look. However, about a week later, we noticed one seam that stood out from the others -- visibly rougher and less refined. We contacted the owner and were told this kind of thing happens, that nothing could be done, and that even worse seams are displayed in their showroom. That response left us disappointed. Given how good the other seams looked, we were surprised at the lack of effort or interest in finding a resolution. If you hire Rock-It, we recommend staying engaged through the final details of the install. Be sure you're 100% satisfied before signing off and paying in full. We hope the company will take this kind of feedback to heart and continue to prioritize finish quality and post-install support.

First, our rep Robert came to our house with tons of options and suggestions. He was able to give us a wide variety and help us select something that uniquely fit our style and budget. He was easy to get a hold of and responded quickly with any questions we had. When we came to the showroom, Robert dopped everything to lead us through the selection process. We could tell he was highly knowledgeable and much more intent on making us happy rather than upselling us on unnecessary products. When instillation day came our installers, Miguel and Israel, were also very professional and highly knowledgeable and skilled. Rarely have I seen harder workers than these two! Their attention to detail--such as lining up the carpet pattern on the stairs and making sure the cut pattern on the risers were balanced--was impressive. The entire job, including moving large furniture, was completed in two days. We couldn't be more pleased! There were a few spots where the base coat didn't take to the concrete perfectly (not their fault, 50yr old slab), and he paused our day 2 and personally came out over the weekend to touch up those few spots before applying the top coat. Top-notch service, HIGHLY recommended. It's clear that Paul cares about his business. I've worked with many contractors over the course of my home renovation, some great, some terrible, and Paul is in the "great" category! I'll gladly refer Paul and his team to anyone who asks.

I specifically explained that I was interested in a full bathroom remodel, not just a shower replacement. Based on those representations, I agreed to schedule an appointment. When the salesperson arrived at my home, I was surprised to learn that the company only focuses on showers and does not provide complete bathroom remodels or custom bathroom designs as I had been led to believe. Despite realizing early in the appointment that their services did not match what I was looking for, I still sat through the sales presentation because I understood the salesperson was giving up his time to be there. The presentation lasted approximately an hour and a half. At the end, I was given a very expensive proposal, but no picture of how the shower would look like. When I followed up and requested to receive a picture of how the of the shower would look like as I was promised, I was told that they do not provide designs and that I should simply look at photos on their website (this statement came directly from Mr. Jones who was the lead design team. This was completely different from what was presented to me when I agreed to the appointment. I felt the advertising was misleading and that the primary goal was simply to get a salesperson into my home rather than provide the service that had been promised. I was also told that I could receive a discount if I left a positive review, which made me question the authenticity of some of the company's online reviews. Additionally, I was offered what was presented as a "free vacation" if I agreed to move forward with their proposal. However, as the details were explained, it became apparent that this was not truly a free vacation but rather a promotional offer tied to a timeshare-style presentation. This felt like another example of marketing that was not fully transparent upfront. Throughout the appointment, I felt significant pressure to decide on the spot. The overall experience reminded me of a high-pressure car dealership sales environment, where the focus seemed to be on getting a signed contract rather than understanding my needs and providing the services that had originally been promised. I believe companies should be transparent about the services they offer and should honor the commitments made to potential customers. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

Our job entailed removing existing granite countertops and installing new quartz site countertops. He was very clear with me at the initial meeting that this was an easy job for him. Luis was extremely persistent with trying to gain my business and I was very hesitant at first especially after finding out he was unlicensed but due to his persistence and positive reviews on yelp I decided to move forward with him. Below lists the main pros and cons I experienced dealing with Luis: Pros: -Price is reasonable Cons: - Gave original price based on pictures and my measurements. After coming out he wanted to add more money for demo/prep so I showed him the original text which included all of it. He seemed a little shocked. - Had to come back multiple times to remeasure, grab sink template for fabricators last minute before install could start. - Text me to send him measurements on certain areas that he should have obtained. - He rescheduled 3 different times for installation time/date with practically no notice. Wife had to take off work one day because of this and my work schedule suffered. I had to keep moving things around to try and be present. Had to push back backsplash tile guy 3 times to the point he had to reschedule for a month out because he had other jobs already scheduled. - He didn't install new plywood like his bid stated for the majority of the countertops. Didn't explain to me why he didn't. - He brought his dog to our house and when I showed up from work one day his pit bull was in our back yard just hanging out with a bowl of dog food and water! Never asked if he could just figured this was okay??? I have 3 kids under 6 years old which he was aware of, they were just out running errands with my wife at the time. - He went through my tool box in my garage and used my screw driver, brooms, and am actually missing an extension cord that was on my work bench (have yet to hear back from him about this one) it's not that I wouldn't have let him use them It's the fact that he never even asked. Just grabbed them assuming it was okay. - Left my garage a mess every single day he was there. I had to blow it out each time he was complete. Except for last day because I cant find my extension cord which I always put back in the same spot. I'm pretty OCD about organization. - Swept up countertop area but never the floors which I had to do each time he left. - Left my hose on for entire weekend when he knew my wife was leaving in a hurry for a couple days. - Left old granite piece in my garage. Guess he thought I wouldn't notice but now I have to haul it. - Gave me attitude when I asked him about an uneven seam instead of take 15 seconds to explain how he could remedy it. - Was very paranoid when it came to getting paid. He would ask for money before any progress was even made and then send me weird texts wondering if I was going to pay him. Just felt odd. - You have to write a check directly to him. He doesn't have a business account. - He is unlicensed. - Installation looked okay at first. After looking at it closer you can see a lot of problems. Just look at the pictures.

Overall it was satisfactory work for a great price, but lacks the details…read more Pros: He was on time, responsive, reasonable prices and got the job done quickly. I had some base boards I need to put in, and he did just that. He did a great job on the bathroom vent, and the tile on the window sill, and fixing some casing. Cons: The details were overlook severely. The floorboards were not cut to fit precisely, and he never puttied the nail holes or the seams. I don't think he works well on the ground. Basically his finish needs some improvements. There were some gaps between the drywall and the bathroom vent. Overall not bad for the price, but not recommended for projects close to the ground.
