Incredible customer service and attention to detail. Sean was great to work with and offered me a ton of stone options, not to mention working with me on the custom design and pricing. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for an engagement ring!
Went with my lady to Marvel on the recommendation of a friend who bought his engagement ring there for his fiancée. Sean was absolutely amazing and ever so patient during our search for the perfect ring. First of all, you will never find a friendlier, more accommodating jewelry salesman. He helped explain the various cuts and styles of diamonds available and went through the various ratings and qualities of multiple types, educating us on the technical and cosmetic traits of diamonds in general. The search took longer than usual, because we went in thinking emerald cuts and baguettes would be the style and ended up realizing that an oval with pears were much more appealing and right--which touched off a search to find the perfect oval stone. We spent several sessions refining our criteria, and Sean was wonderfully accommodating each time. Despite our fussiness, he was able to procure the perfect stone, which was set into a custom ring. My fiancée loved it when she saw the finished product, and though the ring turned out slightly oversized despite the test try before it was finished, we were able to take it in and have Sean resize it right as we waited. That took no more than half an hour and was a seamless effort. Sean's professionalism and terrific attitude were a pleasure, and his parents, Harry and Rita, were delightful in assisting when we had more technical questions or needed additional opinions. The whole family-run operation is top-notch, and we'll eventually be going back to Marvel to get our wedding bands. Also, pro tip: when you visit, park underground beneath the building. Marvel validates, so your parking ends up either free or $1.50, depending on which day you visit!
Obviously when looking for an engagement ring you shop around and look to find the right stone and setting. I was not an expert but had done my research. I was recommended to reach out to Rita and Harry who helped out a family friend for many years in all of their jewelry needs. Rita's son Sean, was the perfect fit to help me find our perfect engagement ring. He helped me to find the right stone based on my specific needs. He is extremely knowledgeable about the stones and they only buy the best for their customers. I felt so comfortable working with him to customize the setting to match exactly what my fiancé had dreamed of. I highly recommend setting up an appointment with Sean to have him help you create the ring of your dreams. I know my fiancé hasn't stopped staring at her finger :)
My dad started coming to Harry and Rita on a referral from his boss about 30 years ago. All my moms jewelry comes from here. For my 30th birthday, my family was going to get me jewelry and they took me here. I bought a beautiful diamond band. 6 months later, my boyfriend bought my engagement ring(which he had made to fit his thoughts) and was amazing. I get compliments on both pieces regularly. Best customer service, they remember you and things about you and they remember the pieces. This is a special place! We spend half our time chatting with them! Since we got engaged, I had a piece of my grandmothers redone for my wedding, a necklace made for my birthday and just this weekend we ordered our wedding bands. I would NEVER go anywhere else. The prices are the best for the quality and service you receive. Look no further!!

Well for starters, my fiancé's family has been coming here for the past 30 years. My (soon to be) mother-in-law has gotten quite a few of her jewelry pieces here, and actually bought a pair of white gold diamond hoop earrings on her last trip there. Sean was the one to help us, and he was fantastic! He was professional of course, but above all else, he was very patient and helpful with explaining the differences in the cut(s) upon bringing us a few gorgeous diamonds to choose from. I also like that among showing us 2 nearly identical stones, he didn't at all make us feel pressured or try to sell us on the more expensive of the two. I really got that wholesome Mom & Pop shop vibe here, and that's a good thing. Anyway, I pulled up a picture I found online of my "dream ring" in hopes of making something close to it. I asked for the band to be as "dainty" as possible, with lots of sparkles that stop halfway around my finger. I also wanted a halo with the same sized diamonds around it. And since I was torn between a round and a Princess cut, the way the halo framed the diamond I ended up choosing was perfect. Sean had it ready in 2 weeks, and it was love at first sight! I've already lost count of how many people have complimented it, and multiple girls have asked me to try it on so they can take a picture to send to their boyfriend as the ring they want! BUT, my favorite thing about it is HOW DARN SPARKLY IT IS. It's to the point where my fiancé just shakes his head after the hundredth time of me asking him "Babe, have you seen my ring... in THIS light?!" (outdoors, inside a restaurant, etc.). I can't help it, it gives me the feelings! I hope every bride gets to feel this way about her ring. Thank you Marvel Jewelry and Sean! You've made another customer for life.
My fiancé and I had a fantastic experience working with Sean to create our perfect engagement rings. I basically showed Sean I picture of what I wanted, a week later he made both a digital image of it and a wax replica for me to see and hold in person. He accommodated all of the add-on's I wanted and about two weeks later I got my dream ring! What stood out to me at Marvel was the level of professionalism and skill Sean and Rita showed. We were never pressured to get anything we didn't want, they worked with our budget and we ended up with gorgeous quality rings. I get compliments on my ring every day, it's so gorgeous. I highly recommend Marvel to my family and friends, and most certainly will be returning in the future. (:
My now-husband and I have had the most wonderful experiences with Marvel...a friend referred my husband (and another mutual friend also later bought his fiancée's ring at Marvel) when he was shopping for my engagement ring, which was beyond perfect, and he was confident that he got a fair price. Of course we went back to get our wedding rings, and a pair of sapphire earrings my husband had reset as my wedding gift. Working with Harry, Rita, and Sean has been a pleasure; they are always friendly and professional. I live on the westside, but I enjoy making the trip to DTLA every couple months to have my ring polished and cleaned. We won't hesitate to purchase jewelry in the future at Marvel, and we have already recommended them to several friends!

From the moment we walked in, the Marvel family made us feel right at home. We felt so good after talking to them, but wanted to make sure we were making the right choice by checking out all of the other stores in the building. As I'm sure you've guessed already, we saw them all and made a beeline right back to Marvel. Not only did they have the most unique styles, but they were totally able to make something custom. We had a photo of a specific ring from an online store that was way out of our price range. Marvel recreated the ring with 100% accuracy and at half the price. They even sent us progress shots so we could make any changes we wanted along the way. I'm so thrilled to go to them again for our wedding bands. I may even ask if they can make a custom nose ring. If you're looking for an amazing jewelry buying experience, you NEED to give Marvel a shot. I promise they're better than anything else you'll find in Los Angeles. UPDATE: My fiance and I are still so in love with the craftsmanship of my engagement ring, we just ordered our wedding rings! Their selection is so unique and perfect, we were able to pick out exactly what we wanted with a couple custom details. They are SO accommodating and sweet, we never want to go anywhere else :D
My ring was ordered over FaceTime/texts since we are not located close to the store. Sean was absolutely fantastic! He was given an idea of what we were looking for and made a custom ring that was above and beyond anything I ever could have imagined! He walked us through the entire process, sent pictures along the way and was always there to answer any questions we had and help in any way he could. He made us feel at ease throughout the process with not being able to actually visit the store. I could only imagine the experience we would have had had we been able to! I would recommend him to EVERYONE! Go see this awesome family!

My experience with Sean over at Marvel was beyond what I could've expected. My family has been going here for years and finally I was able to go myself to have the perfect engagement ring made for my now fiancée. They worked with me on building a custom ring when I came in with some reference photos for what I was looking for. I was worried it may be difficult to have made because the design was very intricate and unique, but they really nailed it. I was amazed how exact it came out to what I wanted, and my fiancée absolutely loved it when I proposed. Sean and Rita made the whole process very enjoyable and stress free, and gave me a great deal on a ring that would've cost twice as much with an online retailer. Let's just say this... Your engagement ring is something you are going to wear and look at everyday so you want it to be perfect so when I say Sean went above and BEYOND to make my ring dreams come true, he really did. He made sure to give me all the possible options and was very patient with my decisions. Go find him, he is truly the best. I have referred all my girlfriends to him. My fiancé purchased my engagement ring from Marvel in July . After he proposed he told me about the great service he received from Sean and Rita and it wasn't until I came to get my ring sized that I saw how amazing they are . This is a beautiful diamond story:Marvel Jewelry is the only place I will ever buy jewelry. I have purchased jewelry in the past from other stores, but have never received the level of customer service and quality that I get at Marvel. We have bought all our wedding rings, my mothers diamond ring and my sisters diamond gold necklace. They have pieces from everyday jewelry to special occasion. When buying jewelry it's very important for me to trust the people I am working with and every person you interact with is honest and genuine. Rita and Harry are the absolute best! A family friend referred us to them. When my fiance and I walked into their store we felt very comfortable and didn't feel any pressure. I had an idea of what I wanted in a ring and they had a big selection of halo rings. They had just finished making a beautiful ring to put on display and it was so PERFECT! Everything I wanted and more! We didn't end up getting the ring that day. My boyfriend (fiance) went back and got that ring and proposed to me on Valentine's Day! I highly recommend coming here if you want to be treated like family and have a no pressure experience! We definitely be coming back for our wedding bands! read more

These people are amazing! I've done the "street" search in the jewelry district for years. It's always a challenge and you always feel lied to and deal with all the pushy vendors. We were looking to find an engagement ring for my son's future wife. She had very specific tastes and wanted ONLY a black diamond and a platinum band. It was very difficult to even find the black diamond and we did a lot of waiting while "runners" went searching to bring us something to see. Each time it was 2-3 carats and looked all scratched on the top. I had looked on Yelp before we went shopping and Marvel Jewelry kept coming up over and over again and always with positive reviews. Since I'm pretty skeptical (because we all know what you see isn't always accurate); I took their address and after a long day of finding nothing and listening to vendors try to tell us that a black Masonite is the same as a black Diamond I suggested we try Marvel before we left. It is definitely not on the street and is located in a secure building (peace and quiet to make decisions). But, it's a family business; it's clean and NOT ONCE did I feel like we were being pushed into buying a single thing! They found us a 4-carat black diamond that was beautiful! They listened to everything we asked for. They gave us an amazing deal. They created the ring from scratch. They emailed CAD drawings so we could approve them and they sent email pics of the wax form. They could not have been more gracious and helpful and understanding. I will never again wonder around the jewelry mart feeling like I am being taken advantage of. GO SEE THESE PEOPLE! I have no tie to them and my review is my own. All of my future jewelry needs will be going to them! 4/1/18-Update: Went back after the proposal and they sized the ring on the spot, free. Writing this on my fiancee's account because I don't have Yelp: I went to Marvel Jewelry to look for an engagement ring at the recommendation of a family friend, and I was absolutely blown away with the help Sean provided. I had a few ideas and examples of what type of ring I had in mind, and within a couple visits Sean had not only found the ideal setting, but gave me a wide variety of stones to look through within my price range and gave his honest opinion on each. The final product was incredible, my fiancee was blown away and still gets compliments on it constantly. Also, creating the setting and placing the stone took ONE DAY. I had an amazing experience with the Marvel team, Rita and Harry. Look no further if you are in the market for amazing jewelry. I went to them driving in from Palm Springs because my friends have used them for all jewelry needs for 25 years. Anything you could ever imagine has been designed by Harry. I went there looking for an engagement ring and left there 24 hours later with my ring on my finger!!! It is more beautiful than I could've even imagined. They know what they are doing and help you narrow down your likes with pinpoint precision taking a lot of pressure and stress out of the equation. My trip to Marvel Jewelry was almost entirely an accident and I could not possibly be happier for it. I was out shopping for an engagement ring and I had already hit up a few of the larger chain places and had yet to find anything that called out to me. I definitely didn't want something that looked mass-produced. I'm not an expert when it comes to picking out jewelry but I knew I wanted this ring to feel personal and unique, something hand-crafted, eye-catching and beautiful. That's exactly what I got working with Sean at Marvel Jewelry. I had originally set out to visit a different store in that same building. If I had done more research I might have ended up at Marvel to begin with but the competitor I had originally chosen to visit happened to be unexpectedly closed the day I came in. Not wanting to waste a fairly long trip, my brother recommended we at least check out Marvel and I am so grateful that we did. From the moment I walked in, Marvel was welcoming and made me feel at ease. Sean was extremely helpful and patient with me, despite my inexperience. I described my girlfriends tastes and a little bit of history about our relationship and other jewelry I had purchased for her. He helped me choose the perfect ring and had amazing suggestions for customization to make it truly unique and special. I can't speak highly enough of him and his work. He immediately understood what I was looking for and his recommendations and insights were on point. You will not be getting anything that looks mass-produced or "cookie-cutter" from Marvel. My fiancee absolutely loves her ring and we've gotten so many compliments on it in just the few short days we've had it. Photo's simply can't do justice to Sean's work and it came out absolutely beautiful. The ring is simply stunning in the sunlight as well. I'm grateful to Marvel for taking what I thought was going to be a stressful situation and turning it into such a wild success. I just purchased an engagement ring from Marvel and let me tell you.... Wow!!! The service was amazing!!! I felt at home here and the ring turned out beautiful!!! Sean, Harry and Rita were very helpful in helping me understand all that there is to know about picking out the perfect diamond and setting!!
