My family ordered stan's wings tonight and we had multiple people over so ordered a large order of 50 wings. We picked them up and drove home and opened them up and they where not the wings we ordered. We called the restaurant and the cook was put on the phone and we explained we got the wrong wings and he was argumentative and said we must have ordered the wrong wings. The only wings we order are Stan's so we know for a fact that he was wrong. He continued to be rude and charged for us for another order of wings at Tuesday night prices. I have grown up in Clarence and this is not how we treat each other very disappointing. read more

Fantastic beer battered fish fry!! The batter was perfectly crispy and the fish perfectly cooked. It came with three sides, coleslaw, mac salad, & potato choice. The German potato salad is awesome. Service is fast and to the point. Our waiter had a gruff presentation, but one could tell beneath that he was a big softy. He took care of the whole dining room we're in by himself adeptly. Tried some wings from Marvin's for the first time last night and they were awesome! We tried the medium and honey garlic, both were crispy and delicious. These are probably the best wings I've found in the Clarence/Williamsville/Amherst area. The ambiance is your typical dive bar. They have some TVs, a pool table, darts, a little outside patio. Fantastic. Came with son for wing night on Tuesday (.50 cents). Got 20 wings with 4 different sauces. Yes, you can get a new sauce every 5 wings!! Standouts were the Bonnie's (think honey mustard bbq) and Stan's (sweet hot sauce). Both were fantastic. The honey garlic were great too. Cajun bbq were decent but prob would go something different next time. All wings came out crispy and cooked perfect without asking. Service was fantastic. You can tell a lot of regulars come in, server knew all their orders right away. Place filled up quick so get there early!! My son liked his kids pizza and fries and commented how nice staff was. I came here for the first time for dinner with a buddy of mine. We both got the fish fry. The fish was very good and crunchy but not over done! The macaroni salad, fries and tarter sauce were good but the coleslaw was just okay. Overall I really enjoyed my meal and defiantly plan on coming back again. read more

I am very particular about my wings, and after hearing great things from many people, I tried Marvin's, and I've been a fan and repeat customer ever since. Stopped in a few times for their dine-in 50 cent wing special, where I tried an array of flavors. They have so many options: cajun (a dry rub), kicking bourbon, thai chili, cajun bbq, honey garlic, garlic parmesan.... truly, the list goes on. I haven't found a flavor yet that disappointed. My personal favorite these days are the cajun and garlic parmesan. The cajun has the heat and smokiness that will have you licking your fingers, and the parmesan garlic is buttery with the garlic kick and just enough parmesan sprinkled on top. They also have a delicious roast beef sandwich that's tender and hearty, but I'm obsessed with the wings which have the perfect crisp and crunch. It's a casual place. The owner is the nicest and always so friendly and helpful. And they're still open for takeout amidst the Covid crisis, so you can call and order takeout. You head inside to pick it up and pay. I had been planning to try this place for the longest. I knew Tuesday was a wing special day but it never panned out until recently. After picking up my son today, I decided we could go and check it out. Luckily I headed there with no actual plan and all worked out. He was very helpful with input on selections We ended up choosing cajun, garlic parmesan, marvin, cajun bbq, kick bourbon and a couple others. Oddly enough they were ALL delish. I couldn't really pick out a favorite... When I tell you the flavors they are using in these wings is phenomenal! If I would not have known they were all from the same place, I would swear someone picked up wings from various restaurants. To master flavors like that and they all taste so different is amazing to me. Most places have different kinds or levels, but they still taste the same in many ways ... not these. The Garlic Parmesan is a keeper you can taste the rich buttery flavor with the strong flavor of parmesan this was my son's favorite. The Cajun is like a dry rub coating after saucing. It has a nice kick, but not to heavy. The Cajun BBQ was delicious. A great combination of them both The kicking Bourbon has a strong presence of Bourbon with a thicker sauce coating Just to name a couple stand outs. It seems this place gets a lot of regulars because our friendly host was addressing people by name and seemed to know what people were gonna order. Tuesday is wing night at fifty cents a wing its a deal where most places are looking for a dollar each on the regular menu. It was really busy with this weekly special! They allow any sauce with an minimum order of 5, Bleu cheese and celery extra. They offer a few more than your average mild medium and hot flavors. I tried the Stan's which was one of the best flavors I ever had, sort of a spicy tangy BBQ. The best part was the wings were really crispy and Marvin supplies all the napkins you need to keep clean. Never a disappointment! I have since been back, a few times, for Marvin's broiled fish on Fridays and of course their wings. The fish was fresh and cooked to perfection. I am glad we got there early because Marvin's was packed. The atmosphere here is friendly and fun. Everyone that enters is welcomed by the servers and bartenders who seem to know most guests by name. All throughout your visit, laughter can be heard from every direction. This no frills bar and restaurant is a great place to eat and then enjoy a great band, when they have live music. I'm an absolute foodie, and love my wings. We went here for the first time on their "wing night" and it was just awful. The wings were completely overcooked, to the point they were actually inedible. The fries were alright. We sat outside and were told that we had to order inside first as they "don't go back and forth" like that. It took an extremely long time to get our food as well and it wasn't even that busy. My expirience here was very good. We had 6 flavors of wings on our visit, all of them were solid. The wings were not only delicious, but a nice meaty size. We enjoyed the Cajun, Bbq, Garlic Parmesan, Marvin's, Bonnie's and Stan's style wings. 1 out of 3 thought the Bonnie's style were there best, the other 2 agreed Stan's were the best. The ambiance was kind of locals only, but with the desire to grow. Everything was clean and looked brand new. There appeared to be a dining room area that was closed, so we ate at a table in the bar area. The bartender was nice, but it would have been a little better to not have to walk back and forth to the bar to order food, drinks, get refills, pick up food, pay the bill etc. Also they are cash only. I had been wanting to stop in for some of Marvin's famous wings for some time now and I finally made it in last night! Man am I kicking myself for waiting so long!! I ordered Hot Garlic Parm wings and they were awesome! The wings were crispy but yet had the right amount of sauce on them!! I was left wanting more! I also ordered their roast beef sandwich. The roast beef was so tender I couldn't believe it! Each sandwich comes with chips, dill pickle and a side little cup of warm au jus. Marvin's has the best consistent fish fry's with great sides! I've been slumming it around Clarence/ Williamsville since Marvin's closed. Some places I've returned the fish fry 2 to 3 times before its cooked properly (ie. crispy w/o oil all over it.) Side dishes from other places go strait in the garbage. We recently moved within 10 minutes of Marvin's and decided to try it out for the first time this past Sunday. What started as a "quick stop in" for lunch and to maybe watch the beginning of the football game, turned into a 5 hour stay! What a fantastic little gem in Clarence Center. They have a fantastic list of appetizers which are half price during the game. We made excellent use of that list and never ordered off of the regular menu. I have heard that their fish fries are also excellent so will be trying one of those soon. Decent selection of beers on tap and a varied liquor selection too. Everyone there, from Laura our bartender, to Marvin (who we got to meet) to all of the patrons, were more than welcoming. We had our 7 year old son with us too - and he may have had a better time than we did! From the looks of it, we will be spending many more Sunday afternoons at Marvins! I have mixed reviews about this place. Drinks and food were very reasonable so that is a plus but they are also nothing special. I heard a lot of good things about the wings but they tasted like any other wing from any of the local pizzerias. We also tried the burger and it was good but not anything I feel like I must go back for. It has a nice corner bar / filled with locals kinda feel but you do not get looked at like you don't belong. We happen to be there on a day they had a band so that was a bonus and a reason for an extra star. It got pretty busy so I would think they would have more than one person working the bar and maybe they did after we left which was right when it started to fill up. This is a hidden gem in the Clarence Center Area. Marvin's by far is one of the places that has the best wing in Buffalo. The wings we order Cajun, BBQ Cajun and Stan's Special Sauce they were all amazing. The bartenders were very attentive and working hard. They had a band that night and the place got pack.
