I keep asking myself why I don't come here more often. Over the years, I have never had a bad meal at this place. Plus, if you're just stopping for a drink, the bar has always been pretty fun - always a nice group of locals, down to earth folk here. The menu was a really good mix of options with plenty of choices for everyone, no matter what you're in the mood for. Located just a short hop outside of East Aurora, I always find it's worth my drive from Williamsville to do a little shopping in town and grab a lunch or dinner at Kodiak Jack's. My latest choice was the prime rib and stuffed hot pepper sandwich. It was some of the most tender prime rib I have ever had on a sandwich. Chicken wings were half price, so we started with wings as an appetizer to split between us. The wings had a nice light crisp on the outside, and were tender and juicy on the inside. Perfection. Portions are hardy, there's no skimping here. If you're looking for a new restaurant option and want to turn it into an afternoon, drive on out to East Aurora and see some of the most beautiful shops and have a lovely meal.

We came here on a Friday and boy, was it busy. We heard great things about this place and had to try it for ourselves. Well, we still had to wait about 30 minutes. The food and service were well worth the wait We came here initially for the fish fry, But I ended up going for the fried shrimp with German potato salad, and it was beyond delicious. The shrimp were perfectly fried, not the greasy at all very easy to eat, and the German potato salad had the right amount of apple cider vinegar to bacon flavor that just made it to die for, the fish was perfectly fried not greasy at all and my husband just completely devoured the macaroni salad and German potato salad too. Our server was absolutely friendly and checked on us to make sure we were OK. The ambience is very warm and welcoming and a great place to have a the party definitely will become regulars here. Great job, Kodiak Jacks.

Food and service were great! Again, we found another gem on Yelp :) Live music, outdoor seating, outdoor bar, and friendly atmosphere. Some good choices on the menu; we had beef on weck and a salad ... both were delicious. I love French fries and these were amazing!! Motorcycle parking on the concrete pad. We'll be back again.

Good food, casual atmosphere, lots of locals but welcoming to newbees. Great to stop in after volleyball in Wednesday night or Taking your wife out on Saturday night. You'll like the wings. I had the shaved steak sandwich, awesome.

Well, i have reviewed this place before but my review has magically disappeared, so I'm going to do it again. My first review was a great review. We patronize this restaurant often and usually they give us reason to want to return but unfortunately our last two experiences were not so, which is incredibly disappointing as it used to be the go-to for us on a Friday night. The last two times that we have eaten here we have gotten the same waitress, and that is where our biggest complaint lies. The first time we were told by a regular waitress (who is always fantastic) that our waitress was new, which doesn't excuse how much she was ignoring our table, but we tried to just let it slide. The second time however, it was the same deal, she ignored our table, seemed to get irritated when we would ask for refills on drinks, or more dressing, etc. She chose to socialize with other employees (right next to our table) instead of checking in on our table, and the interesting thing is that I did not see her ignore other tables as much as ours. What's the deal??? However, I try to not give a restaurant a poor review solely on customer service, because while it can make or break an experience, it's the food that should be the bigger focus. Our last meal here was shockingly disappointing. the salad I got had chicken on it that tasted fishy and soapy, the fish that another member of our party got was so incredibly salty it was almost impossible for them to eat, and they normally load on the salt. Usually the food here is spot on. Our experience was so disappointing that it provoked us to leave a comment in their comment box. That was over a month ago and we have heard no response at all. I think that is what puts us off the most. Some sort of contact would have been appreciated! I hope that Kodiak's is just experiencing some hiccups and that one day again, I will be writing a better review!

My husband loves their broiled Cajun fish, fry so he ordered it again today. He got the baked sweet potato and mentioned how delicious it was. I went with the Greek Chicken Salad, a sheer delight with Greek dressing as well as tzatziki. The salad itself was built on a base of fresh mixed spring lettuces topped with pickled banana peppers, fresh grape tomatoes, sweet purple onions, sliced cucumbers. The grilled chicken cutlet was cut julienne and was strewn on top. Everything that I love in a salad. The plate was also garnished with a stack of baked flatbread triangles, which were nice and crisp! Two bartenders were waiting on the entire floor, and we noticed that they were busting their running back-and-forth. We applaud their dedication!

Seasoning food after the fact is fine, but never as good as during the preparation. My seabass was tasteless and was sat on top of a mediocre risotto...which is saying something since it was a Gouda and red pepper risotto. Also unseasoned overcooked green beans on the side. Criminal at the price. My husband's giant steak was also under-seasoned as were the sad mashed potatoes and carrots that came along with it. The steak was good quality, cooked fine, but could have been exceptional if it had any flavor beyond being a good piece of meat. The Thai shrimp appetizer was good but if you put Thai chili sauce on anything it will taste good. The scallop was decent but again not really seared well and lacking flavor even with the balsamic drizzle. Would not come back to waste hundreds of dollars on overpriced unseasoned food again. I will say the service was good and the staff were lovely. Too bad the food is mid.
