Was excited to try this cookie place in downtown McKinney. The shop is small, but cozy and had a welcoming vibe. We ended up going for their sale - buy six get two free which I think was a great deal! The cookies in the display looked beautiful and appetizing. After trying them though I would say they were underwhelming. They weren't bad, but not great. The stand out thing about them was probably their size. Texture and taste of the cookies were just okay. I don't typically write a review for dessert / cookie places... only because I don't remember to do so. It's not a full meal and often, we go in, pick a few items to munch on and forget about them. Well, we took a bite into one of the 4 we picked and it was so good that I made a point to take a picture of the shop to make sure I don't forget to write a review for them. I don't even remember what flavors we got. I think it was like cookie & cream, some double chocolate one, something with peanut butter, but anyway, they were all very very delicious. They are huge, thick and therefore, it's not the crispy kind of cookie. They are soft but not too doughy (cause I don't like cookie dough either). So this was our second stop on a Saturday day trip to downtown McKinney. Enjoyed a really cool car show. Stopped at Spoons Cafe for lunch. Needed some dessert, took a 3 minute walk down to Mary's Mountain Cookies. Soon as we walked through the door, the sweet warm smell of fresh baked cookies hits you like you just stepped into grandma's kitchen, then Mary says good afternoon with a smile. For a moment I felt like I was 10 years old! The place was amazing and for sure will be back. Some many cookies, all amazing. Choose a Carmel salted cookie and an espresso cookie with mocha icing. Loved the cookies! And they're reasonable at about $4 for a very large cookie. I spent about $45 on 5 half cookie ice cream sandwiches and 2 cookies. You can make an ice cream sandwiches from the smaller or larger cookies or half a large cookie. We did half cookies. I could barely eat half of that. The Panda is so good! Super chocolately but not overly rich. The cookie of the month was the Jake which is their famous cookies n cream cookie with cheesecake. I asked if they had a "plain" cookies n cream and the employee said they don't offer one. This confused me since it's "famous." The orange snickerdoodle was a must try. We usually get the almond sugar cookies, which are amazing, but today we tried an icing filled cookie and a lemon doodle cookie and both were perfect. OK, so this place wasn't my favorite to me. Most of the cookies are just glorified sugar cookies that are very expensive. However, the gluten-free cookies are very good if you have a someone that has to have gluten-free. my kids eat gluten-free all the time because they have celiac and they said it was one of the best gluten-free cookies they've ever had. The service was excellent. I really enjoyed talking to all the employees. The ambience definitely scream, small town, dessert and I loved it. On a sidenote, the chocolate chip cookie warmed up was very tasty with milk, but I still think the regular cookies are a bit overpriced, but I could understand that it cost money to be open! Def not going here again. My wife and I decided to pick up some cookies here when we were walking around old town McKinney. She said they probably would be good and they WEREN'T!!! I discovered I had Celiac about three years ago and thankfully, there are a lot more gluten free options out there now. However, most cookies that I've tried are not that great - they fall apart, lack taste, or just generally suck. When I say Mary's Mountain Cookies are the BEST cookies I've ever had (pre-celiac/gluten free and all) in my 30 years on this earth, I am not lying. They are to die for! What a cute little store in this tourist town. I happened to have stopped in while visiting and I was surprised at how many non chocolate cookies they had, which I'm a huge fan! Since I don't like chocolate, I can't always get a cookie from these places but this place had a wide variety and they are big! Most were $3.95 which is a great price for me visiting from CA! I ended up with 3 cookies which my aunt was like what! Lol. I got the lemon cooler, almond sugar cookie and key lime something! And I have to say, I'm soo glad I did! The lemon is tart and soft! The almond cookie is divine, soft and very almondy! The key lime was also good but more like a key lime white chocolate cookie I believe it was. This time, tried many of the ones we didn't the first time...the Reese's PB cup, red velvet, brookie, frosted sugar, snickerdoodle, and finally, the cookies and cream avalanche. The final, which is cookies and cream frosting filled with oreo chunks between two chocolate chip cookies may be the most decadent. It was beyond amazing. All the rest were enjoyed by the family. The red velvet wasn't my favorite, but others liked that one. The Reese's was pretty close to the top of my list as well. The brookie was unusual but very good. Some thought the frosted sugar cookie had a bit of an aftertaste they didn't care for, but I liked that one. Again, not the cheapest, but with the special, eight deluxe cookies for around $25 probably shouldn't be considered too extreme, and they all make a yummy treat. read more

You can order a 2oz (regular) or 5oz (signature) cookie. Very large cookies, about three dollars and softball size! Really big for a cookie. Everyone got one, so 4 cookies. I sampled all of them and the lemon and sugar cookies are what I liked. I didn't think they were 5 star cookies but they were good cookies. I think some of it comes down to personal cookie preference. I like a thinner chewy cookie whereas these are thick soft cookies. But again they are good and well made. My personal favorite was the turtle infused. I don't know what all was in it, but it was tasty. I love pecans. The chocolate chip cookie was good. I got an avalanche and the one I had was two chocolate chip cookie with butter cream between them. The butter cream was good. I think I would like the turtle with buttercream between them. I'm not the biggest peanut butter cookie fan so my opinion on them isn't relevant but I was told by somebody that loves peanut butter cookies, that they really like the peanut butter cookie dipped in chocolate. They blow a place like Crumbl out of the water. If you like Crumbl, you will love these. read more

OMG THE BEST COOKIES EVER! I was visiting a friend and drove 4 hours for these cookies. I got a salted caramel type one and the Jake. The cookies are huge and I was still eating mine three days later. Of course I caught every last crumb because I wasn't going to let the cookie go to waste. As someone with a nut allergy and not the biggest fan of chocolate, there were so many options for me to pick from! It's actually quite a problem as I stop here way more than is healthy for me, but I just can't stop.
