I turned the unit down, the room got stuffy. I couldn't get the dang thing to cool the room off again. The room was dingy and in bad need of a paint touch up. The carpet had stains - nothing a good shampooing couldn't handle. Otherwise, the stay was okay. Staff was decent, ample parking.

We were excited to see the Rainbow and Trans flags when we pulled up and knew we were in a friendly place. The room was lovely and large. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we slept well. Although not on Chincoteague it is a short drive to the island which was beautiful every morning. The grounds of the inn are well maintained and beautifully cared for with paths between each building. The owner showed us where breakfast would be and even brought breakfast to our room one day. Breakfast was also wonderful every morning with juice, fruit, a sweet, and a main dish which was either sweet or savory depending on the day. Our breakfasts including a peach croissant casserole, and a hatch chili egg bake just to name a few. We regularly saw the owners around the grounds and they were always very friendly. We did not get to enjoy the pool but it looked lovely and well maintained. I have only two minor complaints which are more personal preference that actually complain. The room had four windows the were high on the wall which were not covered which woke my partner every morning. These should probably be either covered or the bed placement changed. The button for the big tub in the bathroom was very hard to push on and off. These are really minor things and do not distract from the overall wonderful experience we had. Of note there a ton on Mosquito's on the eastern shore and the islands. Make sure if you are traveling this way you bring bug spray. One last quick note, we got the soaps and lotion add one. The soaps and lotions were wonderful both made and to use. I would recommend this B and B to anyone who wants to enjoy Chincoteague and the eastern shore.

When we drove up that little Mansion we could not believe our Eyes. Directly on the water in a magical setting...something we will never forget and definitely will revisit! We did have perfect weather conditions, so when we came back from dinner, we enjoyed ourselves for a little walk around the gardens and lake. The view from our balcony was stunning...you really have to pinch yourself...just making sure you're not dreaming...it made us feel happy as can be. The next morning...David prepared a beautiful spread of breakfast. Crab &Swiss cheese omelette, roasted Yukon potato, turkey bacon, country sausage, the bread basket had lavish varieties and customed as well towards my girl who has celiac disease with gluten free options, Room tempered butter, I think even the raspberry marmalade was homemade, fresh berries...I mean nothing was missing and it was put together with such care. Since we were the first of the season...David was able to join us. What a great morning we had thanks to him...thank you so very much!! A must see venue, that is highly recommended!

My family and I made a quick trip to visit other family in the area. It just so happened to be Memorial Day Weekend and we made a last minute decision to spend the night. Considering it's a holiday weekend and short notice, the cost of other, better hotels in the area were insane. Therefore, we settled for staying here. On the positive side, it appears they did do some small renovations with the flooring and the beds. They now have hardwood floors. However, everything else needs renovating. Since I knew I would be going home the next day, I refused to shower in there. I waited until I got home. If there's one thing I'm picky about, it's a hotel. Therefore, this is a place that I would rather not stay in if I can help it.

My hotel room came with a blow dryer, coffee maker and fridge, which is always a plus. Overall, I've been to better motels but for my purpose this hotel was semi decent and cheap. The first day we had quiche and the second we had chocolate chip pancakes. All made fresh when you sit down and included sides, coffee, fruit, and yogurt. Really delicious and good quality and the staff were so nice. My husband is diabetic and they easily modified the options to meet his lower carb/sugar request. They also have daily evening tea with a sweet treat which is fun and coffee, tea, and lemon water are available all day and night. Our room was beautiful and looked exactly like the photos and the inn is so charming. Perfect landscaping, all common areas are so cute, and the location is to die for right on the beach, with access to the sand just steps from the lovely wrap-around porch. We were unlucky and it was basically a freezing Nor'easter the weekend we came, so we didn't get to enjoy the beach, the bikes, or any of the out door amenities - but we still found it charming and enjoyed both the Inn and the town. Hopefully, we can come back again in the fall and enjoy milder weather.

The photos they chose to use were all of Asian women wearing masks. I know it was not their intent to come off as racist but as an Asian person, I find it upsetting. The subtle implication is that Asians are the cause of the virus and that you should protect yourself from us. When a friend of mine who is also Asian voiced her concerns about how this offended her, the on duty manager promised to remove the signs and reprint them with less offensive selections. The manager then proceeded to leave for the day without fixing it. 4 hours later the new manager on duty refused to take down the pictures and told my friend she would have to wait until tomorrow for the next manager to come back and speak to her. I will never stay at this hotel and I don't suggest you do either. There are plenty of hotel options where the staff is more hospitable and representative of humanity than this one.
