There is an older, mature woman that works here who is very condescending and rude . My complaint is that the hot coffee is most always lukewarm. I go back and they heat it a microwave which cooks it making it bitter. Coffee should be made and left in glass pitcher on burner. Every set of minutes pitch it and make new pots. It seems like all the workers have their own way of making the different drinks. Some add more mocha or flavor shots than others. However, this doesn't make the drinks bad. My personal favorites are the Turtle for when I actually want some energy, a frozen minty Lou for coffee and with flavor, and their Cotton Candy milkshake for a really hot day. This Mary Lou's is significantly better than the one in Manomet, Plymouth. They can't make a milkshake to save their lives. read more

Irritating. No alternatives for milk/cream even though there is almond milk in their coolers. Latte machine was broken. When I inquired about the iced tea flavors which were posted outside (and I could not see posted inside anywhere) I was told they had green tea and black tea. So I again mentioned the flavors I saw outside but I can't find them listed. And was told yes they can add flavors. That's it. No clarification or offer to list them. I get it. You just work here and you don't get paid more to be helpful. But there was no line and in a vacation town where new people are often your customers I would expect better. Won't be back. I've gone to a lot of the marylous in the area and i always get the same coffee and they always taste the same except for when i go to this one. I have no idea what they do to it to make it taste so disgusting but i would rather go all the way to the pembroke one to this one ever again and it's 5 minutes away. Stopped in for a coffee and breakfast sandwich. Coffee was good, but should have skipped the breakfast. I literally couldn't bite into the bagel. No exaggeration, it wouldn't rip apart, even with my hands. I don't understand how that's even possible. It was also very hot, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but that should make it easier to tear the bagel! Told my spouse about it and was told the same thing happened to them with an English muffin at another location. Not sure how Marylou's maintains the breads, but it isn't right. This places repulses me - but I still go there. Because: A) I'm a hypocrite and B) they sell coffee and cigarettes at the same time. It's not the food that's gross. It's a nice alternative when you're experiencing Dunkin Donuts burnout. Just be prepared to spend a couple more dollars a cup. Although I'm not a fan of some of the iced coffee flavors - the variety is unparalleled. My advice: find one you like and stick with it. Try the banana chocolate chip muffins. The breakfast sandwiches are pretty good. The wait can be irritating, but they're always scorching hot, I've never had a bagel burned, and the eggs seem to be actual egg - or at least not that spongy white and yellow bulls-eye crap you get elsewhere. So, what's my problem with Marylou's then? It's Hooter's for the A.M. Trade pink for orange, brainless teenage girls who want implants for post-op 20 somethings, Coffee and a bagel for wings and beer - it's Hooter's. While I've only been to a Hooter's once (yeah smart date choice on my part and venue on his) and have no intention of returning despite the fabled "wings" - I don't begrudge people who do (or continue to date people who bring me there). I also take issue with the role the ownership plays in marketing their stores in a way that encourages that behavior. If you travel inside all too often the cute little elderly man that held the door open for you morphs into a sexual deviant. This isn't light-hearted flirting - it's drooling, it's obscenely gesturing to his buddies, it's purchasing calendars featuring his fave 15 yr old coffee slinger jumping on a trampoline or running on a treadmill for yet evenmore enjoyment in the privacy of his own home. And, although it's mainly the male patrons that sicken me. The staff - who screw your coffee up just about as often as the fully dressed employees anywhere else - (in dress and demeanor) frequently provoke them. On a recent trip through the drive-thru, I was somewhat horrified when the battery pack pinned to the waistband of the 17 yr old serving my coffee pulled the hot pants she called a work uniform beneath her - um - waist. "Yeah, Hi. I did order a medium iced Minty Lou with no whipped cream, but I'm not really licensed to give pelvic exams - especially from my car window." I don't know if this girl was just so used to being a complete skank that she was unaware of the temperature change down there or what, but regardless, she didn't seem to notice. Excellent location for the local hospital employees. They open early (5 AM on weekdays) and they are situated across the street from the hospital. The service is speedy, so it's always a quick drive-thru, get my coffee, so I can get to work. I have only had pleasant interactions with the girls at the register. Their signature coffees can be sweet-heavy, so ask them if you're wondering. I prefer my coffee black and theirs is perfect. Tastes much better than the other local competitor's. They also do flavored energy drinks (Red Bull). Strawberry Red Bull is my favorite flavor. Definitely consider this place if you're in the area and are looking for a boost! read more

So this location is exactly as advertised. Doesn't matter if it's coffee, toothpaste, or hair gel sex sells. Now they do brew a mean cup of Jill and the flavors are incredible. That's the good. The bad, of you want to call it that, is the scantily clad young (and I mean young) ladies. I've been to this location several times over the past few years bc it's the closest MLs to plymouth center and colony place, which are really the only reasons I'm in Plymouth. However two weeks ago I was at colony place and then going to visit someone who lives in town so I stopped to get coffee for us. It was around 2:45 on a Monday. There was one car in the drive thru and one parked. I usually go to the drive thru at my home base MLs in pembroke but I opted to go into this one. I've noticed coffee seems better made when you go in. Probably because they aren't feeling as rushed as they do with drive thru orders. Anyway, I ordered two iced coffees- one butterfinger and one copa banana....not too difficult. The girl who waited on me was sooo rude. I definitely interrupted her convo with another worker. After she made the first coffee she started to ring it up and I had to tell her I needed one more thing to which she replied "ugh. What is it?" She was a jerk and slid the second coffee at me across the counter almost off of it!! She was a winner to say the least. The coffees were 7/10 so decent but not the best I've had. This wasn't the first time I went a good 15+ minutes out of my way for Marylous, and it won't be the last. It's a very unique place with pink decor, ice-coffee addicted teenage girls, and the ability to turn your morning pick me up into an after dinner delicacy. My favorite is the Mint Girl Scout Cookie with skim milk, sugar, and whipped cream. I've tried some other options but always come back to my cookie. Some of the options are much more extravagant than others and I vote you go for the works. If you're just looking for a coffee there's no reason to choose Marylous over a Dunkin, Starbucks or other as they don't really do just regular coffee. They specialize in all things sweet, sugary, and girly (although my guy friends love it equally). Ask the girls for their three favorites, pick one, throw the extra toppings on and go somewhere cool so you can savory the delicious chilled coffee as long as humanly possible - yes it's that good. read more

Marylou's is one of those places that if I'm in town I'll swing by and get a coffee rather than go to dunkin donuts. They've got a wide variety of coffee flavors, some are significantly better than others. Some of my favorites are toasted almond, white russian, and vanilla hazelnut. Their more gluttonous extra specialty coffees are epic drinks, that leave me on a sugar rush but are quite delicious, I recommend the funny bone. Food is sub par, I just go for a the coffee. If I smoked and gambled this place would be way more awesome as I could get all three of my fixes at once. Don't go here expecting anything fancy in regards to gourmet coffee drinks. No kidding about thinking pink... even the parking lot lines where painted pink. If I wasn't so prim and proper I would have said this place is the Hooter's of Coffee; but I'm not going there. This is definitely some of the best coffee in town. The prices are really reasonable considering it is a specialty coffee place. I usually order one of the medium iced flavored coffees and it is about $2.80 which is what I am used to paying for Dunkin Donuts, which it not my favorite. However, it is really easy to add up on extra calories and sugar here so you have to be careful! Many of the special coffee drinks add whipped cream, cream, and sugar to the coffee making it taste like a dessert. Make sure to ask if certain orders are coming with mocha/ whipped cream in them if you are watching what you eat. read more

My girlscout cookie tastes like mouthwash. I specifically said TWICE i only wanted no whipped cream on TOP. But of course they leave it out of the coffee too, and didn't even fill my cup all the way.
