The sopes of this truck are to die for. The tortilla has the perfect thickness for that killer bite. The beans and the meat (asada) is so flavorful; and on top the regular shredded cabbage and the queso fresco sopes usually have they put some sour cream.... it makes this little sopes the second best in my list! (King tacos' the first) They're small compare to other places' sopes buy they're just that good that you wouldn't mind the size of the sope itself. Sopes are the only thing I have tasted from this truck but I am so in love with them that is enough for me to write a review so I can make someone else happy when they get to try "the sopes." If you love salsa they offer three or four kinds... I heard the red one is the most popular! I could eat four of those sopes without any salsa by myself. Go give them a try.

This food truck is at a populous corner, but this place is really a locals truck that does not get much love from the traveling crowd. Most that were eating here knew "Maria" by name. I tried it anyway, since I was in the area for a musical at the Hayworth Theatre. I wasn't disappointed, but I probably wouldn't seek out this food truck either. It was live and open on a Sunday evening despite the posted times on Yelp. -=-Solo Carne Asada Burrito-=- Meat was juicy, but maybe a bit too much flavor mixture in here. I wasn't sure whether I was supposed to get a meaty goodness or a spices goodness from it. It was juicy regardless and I really like that.

Cousins Francisco Aguilar and Alexis Chacon relocated from Oaxaca to open this mobile mariscos operation. But Simon's seafood-forward menu is innovative and sophisticated, seemingly more at home in a sit-downery than a mobile food cart. Unsurprisingly, Simon has been lauded by news outlets and food critics abound. I've been dying to try Simon, but the limited and often unpredictable hours have kept me from it for months. My partner and I visited for a late weekend lunch and ordered immediately. We opted for 2 tacos (the Soft Shelled Crab and the Baja-style Fish) and a Large Aguachile Negro, and our made-to-order meal was prepared within a few minutes. Between the tacos, the crab was a clear winner. The crispy, whole crab was well-complemented by the fresh pineapple salsa and the rich chipotle crema. In stark contrast, the Baja-style fried fish was one-dimensional in flavor and ran on the soggy side, owing to the watery pickled cabbage slaw. But not even the crab taco could compete with the stellar aguachile. We couldn't get enough of the marinade's rich blend of acidity and smokiness, which overshadowed even the generous helping of fresh shrimp. Simon's complimentary salsa lineup also exceeded expectations. We most enjoyed the earthy salsa macha and the smooth, creamy salsa verde, but the tangy salsa Simon -- the truck's take on taco sauce -- was no slouch, either. Our bill totaled just over $30, and the meal felt reasonably priced and appropriately filling. While the tacos didn't knock my socks off, the aguachile certainly did -- I can't wait to return to try some of Simon's other varieties.

I tried a few tacos and the ceviche. All of it was pretty solid but nothing really blew me away…read more Mostly, I don't think that the food truck model works for knife and fork seafood. At least not for me. If this was a sit down spot I think I would have enjoyed it much more, but trying to eat seafood with a plastic fork on the side of the road just doesn't do it for me.

My go-to is the carne asada burrito, good size, good flavor, and always comes out hot. Sometimes I'll add a couple al pastor tacos, hard to pass up when they're slicing it fresh. Line can get long but it moves fast. Prices are fair for LA and portions are good. You're basically standing and eating on the curb, but that's part of the taco truck experience. Giving 4 out of 5 because it's still a taco truck, not the cleanest setup and no real seating, but the food is consistent and always hits the spot. I keep coming back.

As if it was my fault they work there or that they are having a bad day. I always try to be respectful but I realize that every time I come to eat here (which is often because I love the food) not even my thank you is sufficient for them to give me good service. Sad that my own people (Latinos) have to be so rude for literally no reason. How hard is it to treat someone with respect? I can't even count on my fingers how many times this has happened. I hope the owner sees this and comes to have a sit down with his employees about serving people the correct way, with kindness. Food is fire, I ALWAYS get the Al Pastor Tacos (crispy meat, extra pineapple which they sometimes forget to put in but never forget to charge me the extra 50c per taco). This place is clean and close to my home, this is the only reason why I continue to come. I've never had this issue in Hollywood location.
