I ordered Kung pao chicken, lamb skewers, cauliflower pot, cabbage dish, black pepper beef, and cumin lamb. All the dishes were nicely plated and delicious. They kindly gave us a free lamb soup for our table, which is a very basic soup, not a lot of condiments, meat, or veggies in it really, but still very tasty. Kung pao chicken doesn't really taste like the traditional Kung pao chicken I've had at other restaurants but nonetheless a solid dish. 5/5 Lamb skewers were flavorful! 4.5/5 cumin lamb 4.5/5 Cauliflower pot. Surprisingly so yummy! My favorite vegetable dish here so far. 5/5 Black pepper beef. So good everything here was juicy and crispy. After 2 servings I wanted more! It was just too good. Especially the egg rolls- holy moly... Really crunchy, and taking a bite out of it almost burned my tongue due to how hot it was. In a good way. I kind of expected the food to be cold due to the amount of people and the busy crowds, but I was wrong. The ambience is great and the restaurant is kind of cozy it goes well with the food. We were regular customers from the beginning, but we've noticed the food quality steadily declining over time. Whenever we brought up concerns about the food in Mandarin (for example, soggy noodles or overly battered chicken) to the owner--who's often sitting at the entrance with his laptop--he would just give a slight nod. We've never expected much from the service, as it's always been fast paced, but it has noticeably worsened. Another dish we love is spicy lamb steak but that is used to be loaded with tons of dry spices, garlic and pepper but now it's stir fried in chili oil?? Image eating fatty lamb pieces dunk in pools of oil. Ask the girl server if they have a new chef or new owner but she just disappears and didnt come back with any answers. Food was amazing and Service was really great. Food came out quickly and the server checked in on us regularly and was very helpful with menu recommendations. Great mix of traditional Chinese dishes and Uighur style. As with all other Uighur restaurants have tried the flavors were amazing. What a disappointment. We met extended family here for dinner and it was a mess. We ordered on the app, as there are "scan to order" stickers on all the tables. The waitress then came and told us not to order on that because it would be faster to place the order with her. Why have the stickers and direct us to order from the app and then after doing that tell us not to? We asked for hot tea and they said they don't have tea. Odd, Asian restaurant without tea? We ordered egg fried rice and they said they said they were out. We ordered chicken fried rice and they said they were out. We ordered veggie dumplings and they said they were out. We only got 1 of the 2 orders of dumplings. When we asked where the other order of dumplings were we were told they were out. We ordered cucumber salad and it never came. We asked for it and we're told they were out. So we had 2 items that were on the bill and never came and if we hadn't asked we would have been charged for them and never got them. UPDATE: The waitress came to our table after I had posted the above. She explained that they had only been open for a month and one of their chefs had a family emergency and had to leave. While this doesn't change the overall poor experience, it does add context. We will come back in a few months to see if they just need some time to work out the kinks and hit their stride. read more

I came in Labor Day for dinner with my family. They open at 5:30pm. When we got there all the tables were full so we had to wait a bit. The restaurant has high ceilings and feels very spacious. It is very modern inside. Once we got seated we ordered ourselves with the QR code in the table. You can order with the server too, but we just did the QR code because the servers seems busy. The patrons of this restaurant are so diverse so it was nice to eat here and see so many different people. Samsa- comes out very hot. It is like a lamb hot pocket. The filling inside tastes really gamey so if it's not your thing you might not like it. I don't mind the taste so I liked it. It was ok. I probably wouldn't order it again next time. Shredded potatoes- very delicious with a nice spiciness at the end. Not a very heavy dish. Would definitely order again. Lamb leg polov- the lamb for this dish is really good. They steam it and there is no gamey taste at all. My daughter and my mother in law loved it bc they don't like the gamey taste of lamb. The rice underneath is very fragrant and good. The bottom of the rice is a bit oily but that's what makes it taste good. Would order again. Lamb skewers- 3 skewers did $10. Not cheap but the lamb meat is very good quality and it was my favorite dish. We got 2 orders of this. You can ask them to adjust the spiciness to your liking. Beef tripe in chili oil- my husband loved this. It is good, but by the time this dish came out I was too full to really enjoy it. House special big plate chicken- this dish is one of the few dishes that are not spicy. The chicken is tender and it comes with thick noodles that they place on top of the dish. It is delicious and the potatoes in the dish absorb the sauce so the potatoes are very flavorful. Chicken pieces with cumin- my husband liked this dish a lot. It is spicy but the fried chicken pieces are very good. Dry pot cauliflower- the cauliflower was so good. It tastes good, but has a kick at the end. The cauliflower wasn't mushy and has a nice amount of flavor to it without the flavors being too strong. We also got a xinjiang yogurt. My daughter loved it, but all kids love yogurt. It's a pretty light yogurt and is sour without the honey so you have to mix it well before you eat it. Overall, a very good experience at this restaurant and I will definitely come again. Some of the dishes are pretty oil and spicy, but that just makes it taste better. Most of the dishes should be eaten with rice, but they don't give you rice automatically. You have to order it. We also orders their crusty pancake but it never came so they just removed it from our order, but I do want to try it next time. I've been to other Chinese Islamic restaurants and I've always enjoyed their scallions sesame pancakes so next time! read more

Ohhh, this place was REALLY cool. As a student that lives overseas and travels very frequently to Istanbul and Islamic countries, and also cooks authentic homemade Chinese meals with citizens of the People's Republic of China, I was enthusiastically in awe at the blended mix of Chinese and Islamic cultures and cuisine featured in this newly opened restaurant!!! We called in to place an order 45 minutes beforehand. We went in to pick up the food but it wasn't ready. The staff told us it would be 15 more minutes. They tried to hand us food that was not ours and we called them out on it. They then proceeded to ignore us and play it off without telling us they have to remake the entire order in the kitchen. Because we were in a time crunch, we kindly requested a refund but they tried to play that off as well and was hesitant to give us a refund. It wasn't until we said we "have to go", until the manager decided to give us a refund. I understand this is a family business (from the likes of it), and I hope these businesses thrive and mom and pop businesses do well, but the family needs to be trained to properly take orders and have the proper etiquette to run a proper business.
