This place is beautiful with the Uyghur lights and decor and great for groups. We ordered the big pan chicken which for a small size is huge. This I would say was the star of the meal. Great flavors and it comes with a side of noodles. Cucumber salad and dumplings were done right. Next great item was the samsa which is like a lamb fried dumpling but bit on the pricey side. The lamb skewers were dry. The original hand pulled noodles were also lackluster. The service was attentive which was much appreciated. The food and portion sizes of the dishes at Ma's Kitchen were decent. The best dishes ordered this time were the Beef Rolls, Beef Stew Noodle Soup, and Stir Fried Chow Fun with Beef. The least favorite dishes were the deep fried crispy duck and chicken xiao long bao. The duck didn't have much meat and was left in the deep fryer too long. The xiao long bao was pretty dry inside and didn't have the signature soup inside the dough. Service was a bit rough by all the staff. Expect an authentic Chinese service experience. Found this restaurant for a work lunch because it offers online reservations through Yelp. We ordered family style which included multiple: chicken fried rice, lamb, steak, chicken skewers, chicken noodles, and buns stuffed with meat. We over-ordered and then overate. Not a bad location. When we came in there wasn't a wait but after 7pm there were many people waiting to get in. Parking is fine so you shouldn't have a problem finding one. Didn't not like the pork soup dumplings that much. They broke and did not have much soup in them. The lamb and beef noodles were very good not too much sauce and had a very good flavor to them. The little lamb appetizer were also very good. Like a little lamb empenada if I had to compare it to something. Very authentic XinJiang dishes! The Lamb Leg Fried rice is a must order! Lamb leg was very tender and juicy. Rice has a sweet burst from preserved fruits. I enjoyed the big Plate chicken very much. Not too spicy. And the noodle is very Duane Duane. Pepper Spicy Chicken is a bit spicy so ask for less spicy level. Shredded potato is done just right. Overall a great experience. Hope the owner can address the sun light issue at lunch time so the guests and staff can both benefit. I highly encourage everyone to come and try this place out. Stoped by at this restaurant for the first time and we appreciate our decision! Passing by couple times on colima and realized this is a new XinJiang Restaurant. I've been to XinJiang before and loved the food there so much. The restaurant is located in the same plaza with GW market with huge parking lots. We ordered the lamb ShiMai, house special big chicken plate, steamed lamb, xinjiang yogurt and of course the lamb skewers. The big chicken plate comes with noodle, that's the best part of the dish. An amazing halal restaurant! We came in around 6:30 pm and there were many tables available. The interior was cozy as well. We put in our order, and food started coming out within 10 minutes! The owner kindly gave us a bowl of dates to break our fast with, as well as showed us where we could pray. They provided a couple prayer mats as well. The food itself was delicious and very flavorful. I had been wanting to try halal Xiao Long Bao for a while, and this did not disappoint. The "small" Big Plate Chicken was actually huge! Tik tokers caution. Came here on a Tuesday afternoon with limited other guests dinning prior to are arrival. As a party of 6 were seated oddly at the first two tables upon entering. Mind you 95% of the dining area was open as a few guest were spread out. No one instructed us to use the menu QR code which was also odd. Upon ordering we were told the famous hand-pulled noodles were *yet again* unable to be ordered. Furthermore we were told all noodle dishes could not be ordered due to no noodles available. Yet, when ordering online through the QR code it was not reflected that any and all noodles were out of stock. Very few of our dishes came out together, leaving many members eating without the others. We also got a random order of chow mein to our surprise though we were ASSURED they were out of noodles. Upon questioning it the waiter got shy and took it away immediately. Leaving many members of our party confused as we were told any noodle dish could not be made. Finally, after an 1 hour we were still missing the most simple of dishes (steamed dumplings) to which I asked 3 different workers politely the estimated time as one of the members in our dinning party had not yet eaten being that was the only thing she ordered. As everyone else finished their meal and was waiting for the check I had to ask the owner about the missing steamed dumplings to which they informed us it was never made despite me asking 3 different workers who assured me it was "in the works". I also asked about the chow mein and how it magically appeared and was taken away without explanation, to which the reply was "Oh you initially ordered it and then cancelled it." Funny because that same waitress made us cancel the dish because it was "out of stock". When confronted the waitress sheepishly said "the cook that does noodles arrived late and received the canceled order and still made it."... yet that was never explained to us... the food was never offered but simply taken away so quickly. Such a nightmare experience here. There are plenty of other restaurants in Rowland heights that could serve the same foods with much much better customer service. Food: 2.5 out of 5 Service: 0.5 out of 5 Ambiance: 3 out of 5 I am fully aware every place has its good and bad days, but purely for the lack of customer service I would not come here again. Perhaps here can be a hit or miss. Definitely advise with caution for those on a time crunch or picky eaters! read more

The hand pulled flat noodle was so good we asked for an add on order of the noodle($2.00). The half point taken was due to the small bony pieces of chicken. Spiced Chicken with HouseChili Sauce: 5.5/5. Yes I gave it a half point more. It's as authentic as it gets. The peppercorn chili oil is like a MMA fighter who keeps punching your lips and tongue. The numbing and tingling sensation is out of this world. One can easily succumb to the intense flavor but will want to go back for another try, and another try... Fried Meat Hand Pull Langman: 5/5. Thin hand pull bouncy noodle with sauté saucy beef and vegetable. Tender meat with pungent tomato flavor is harmony in my mouth. The service: 5/5. This is a modern Chinese restaurant featuring Xinjiang (Uyghur) dishes with a very good vibe. First of all, the service here was excellent on our every visit and very friendly as well. Some of the dishes were very good and others were just okay. The lamb kebab was okay and my favorite was the spicy cauliflower. We will return with more friends the next time so we can try it's other specialty dishes such as lambs leg and large plate spicy chicken (大盘鸡）. Update: we've returned and tried the large plate chicken with handmade noodles. It was very good, but even the "small" order was a lot of food for three people. You can finish it in three bites and they charge top dollar. I was planning to order more if the food was good but I ended up with three orders only. Not willing to ditch extra money for expensive food.. Right now everything is so expensive when eating out, that customers will want to go for tasty food. If you are charging top dollar, at least you should give good quality food. Customers know what good taste is and they will not give you a second chance when they know the food is no good. Tried this place near our home. Nice decor and very friendly wait staff. Food was good but not great. Plenty of parking but this shopping mall gets busy so I imagine parking may be a challenge at times. They seem to cater to take out more than dine in, but the dine in experience was good, ambience and wait staff were very pleasant. I'll definitely go again and try different dishes.
