I went to Ma's Kitchen with my friends on Tuesday. This place is nice and clean, and the service is quite good. We ordered steam lamb, big plate chicken, lettuce fried with garlic for main course and XinJiang yogurt as dessert. Each dish is seasoned with it's own spices which come out smelling savory and appetizing, unlike other places that use the same seasoning for all dishes. Big plate chicken is one of my favorite. The chicken and potato are seasoned with a spicy seasoning and done just right. Meat is juicy and potato melts in the mouth, which makes for a heavenly delight. We got: - lamb cumin skewers - stir fry noodles (best) - house plate of chicken (small - but fed us 7 ppl in appetizer bites since we got so many dishes) - langman noodles (hubs fav) - kung pao chicken (also amazing but order rice on the side) - naan - hot sour soup (really good) - 2 types of lamb dumplings (great if you like dumplings, not everyone's cup of tea at our table with desi uncle and aunties) .5 was not given because there can be improvement for organization of servers. We had amazing chicken plate, lamb BBQ, dumplings, Chinese Samosas, rice, leg of lamb, home made noodles, cucumber salad, and yogurt. Every single dish was so delicious. The waiter messed up our order, we ordered the non spicy food, and then they served spicy noodle, and when we asked for replacing it with the nonspixy noodle, they were saying the chef was taking a break, if we want the order, then we have to wait 30 minutes, then the chef can cook after his break. The food and service were great. Definitely a little different than most Chinese places in the area. Super tasty, well seasoned. The tomatoes and egg noodles, and the kong Pao shrimp were really really good. Best cucumber salad I've had at a restaurant too. Coming back for more of the lamb dishes. read more

Don't trust all the fake 5 star reviews! Food: 3.5 Service: 0 Ambiance: 3 Pros: 1) Food tasted average 2) No wait time on a holiday (should've been a red flag) Cons: 1) Ordered 5 dishes and 3 came out 15-20 mins apart. 2 dishes never came after 1 hour of waiting. 2) Servers were giving us and nearby patrons wrong orders. Once they put down your food, they come right back to take it away. Not a good feeling when you're hungry and hangry! 3) A male server that took our order rubbed my toddlers head, without permission, then proceeded to rub my toddlers face after. I told him to stop and he didn't seem to care. If you have kids, DONT COME HERE unless you don't mind strangers touching your child. 4) Another server came with our lamb kebab skewers. When placing down the plate she had the sharp pointy side pointed towards my toddler and my child got poked in the head. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND DANGEROUS! 5) Service is slow to non-existent. We asked for a bowl of white rice, waited 20 minutes to follow up and the server said they're making it? (this is at 6:30pm and not crowded). We never got the bowl of rice. 6) 3 dishes and 1 tea cost $120 before tip. Definitely not worth the price and left my poor child leaving hungry and hurt. This is our first time visiting. We order hot sour soup - beef dim sum xiao bao - sweet and sour chicken - Kungpao chicken . Chicken chow mein- beef spicey fried noodle - chicken fried rice-excellent food. Fresh. Loved all the dishes. Service was excellent. All the server very friendly and helpful. It get packed on weekend . We waited 30 min for tabel which we do everywhere so I didn't mind . Their restaurant's atmosphere was lovely decor with lamp and walls with painting was lovely . Disaster restaurant The menu was too much overpriced with partial Xinjiang cuisine. Some dish are not even authentic Xinjiang food by using the name. The dishes are way too salty and spicy especially for the Da Pan Chicken. Totally rude owner and nonexistent service. We ordered by scanning the QR code. When asked for paper menu and water, waitress won't even bring in. We gave up in the end and had to help ourselves serving water. Calling the waitress several times and she was only caring the other table while there's basically two tables in total. Owner doesn't take Discover or American Express card and manipulate the machine to set up as tip based on after tax. The owner intimidate me saying a minimum 15% tip is law forced. I exposed her lie and still did my own calculation. I gave total 161 instead of 162.52(15% before tax tip + subtotal + tax) since the service was not there. We dine around 2:30pm and still left a 14% tip regardless of the lousy service and bad attitude from the owner. Just because the owner manipulated the machine making it not able to charge Discover or American Express credit cards, she even manipulated the machine to charge tax based on total after tax which is a pure FRAUD TRAP!!! So I input the tip amount, the machine reads as 13% tip since it was manipulated to count tip based on after tax total. And the owner starting to giving me shitty attitude and intimidating me to give 15% min tip as a forced law according to her. When I exposed her lie, she became super angry and told me I can leave no tip if I want. I was gonna do that but considering tip is partial waitress' salary, I still left 14% tip regardless of owner's trash attitude. It was already a blessing tip since it's less than standard service, food was way overpriced, it was afternoon and tip is usually 10% for lunch and 15% for dinner as a satisfied service. I already overpaying the tip and the waitress was crying for it. She crying for the 1.52 USD deduction from a 15% tip 19.58 USD to 18.05 USD for an afternoon dine with her lousy service. She should cry that she worked for an evil restaurant owner who won't pay her enough salary. She should cry for not providing at least standard service. She should cry for her shameful enough for getting tip from overpriced menu and asking for 15% minimum based on AFTER tax total rather than BEFORE tax total. WHAT A SHAME!!! The owner even told me to increase the tip anytime as I walking out and I can't bear this BS. I told her to sue me according to her self made up lie of U.S. law enforced 15% minimum tip. This is my first time here. I can see I can't really trust the average reviews online these days. It was so bad. There's basically not a single good thing about this restaurant, and I have no clue how those people gave a this place any star beyond 1. Totally against this restaurant. You are welcomed to come here if you want overpriced food, too salty food, nonexistent service, bad attitude owner forcing you to pay credit cards other than Discover or American Express, forcing you to pay 15% after tax total by lying about a law enforced 15% minimum tip and manipulating the machine to calculate tip based on after tax total. Food is served on melamine plates rather than real dishes, which in and of itself is not terrible, we just expected more for the price. Service is fair, but English is limited, as I could expect coming to an area that is predominantly Asian (also not terrible). The ambiance is colorful and fun, with a blend of Chinese and Middle Eastern influences. The outdoor patio could use some sprucing up as it's currently used for storage rather than seating guests. With the price point at about $40/per person (about 5 dishes total), the restaurant hardly had anyone there and obviously did not need the patio for seating. read more

I attempted to get Jamie's attention several times, but she seemed to avoid eye contact with me and my friend. She didn't bother to check on us for half an hour. All we wanted was the check so we can leave. She catered to everyone else except us. A different man standing at the cash register helped us out when we couldn't get her attention. We were hesitant to tip her for her service, but did so anyway. We felt her behavior was unprofessional and inappropriate. The food was a solid 7/10. Very good food. Here's what we ordered: Lamb kabob: good flavor, meat is very tender but too salty. I will definitely order again but will ask them to add significantly less salt. Samsa: my husband said it was flavorful , I didn't try. Lamb Siumai: I also enjoyed this dish, will order again. Fried meat hand pulled noodle: noodle had very firm and chewy texture, which I prefer. The fried meat and vegetable had good guo qi. Good dish Lamb leg polov: this takes 25-30min to cook, which they made sure I was okay with. The lamb was tender and overall had good flavor. The rice was a bit undercooked for my preference. Finally I just want to comment on the exceptional service. They were very nice from the start. Everyone was attentive and pleasant. I had a baby and a toddler, so it was chaotic, but they were always happily to assist with our needs. Unfortunately my potty training toddler had an accident while eating dinner. They were EXTREMELY understanding and helped us take care of the situation right away. I felt so bad and at the same time so grateful.
