Visited this restaurant during my recent trip to Colorado and I am so glad I tried this restaurant . The restaurant was relatively empty when my party entered and had a lot of open seats. Since its location in a strip mall there is plenty of parking. The food itself was amazing. Totally loved it. We had the butter chicken (10/10), chicken chili (11/10) and garlic naan (10/10). Everything tasted amazing and the staff was helpful and polite. Will definitely return for some great Indian food. read more

A little slow on the service side, and a pretty limited menu. I got the biryani and quite frankly was not super happy with it. Not authentic tasting at all, way too many veggies, and not much meat. On top of that, fairly expensive as well. To top it all off, in the middle of Summer, it was hotter in the restaurant than outside! So glad that we got to visit Himalayan Cuisine! Reading the reviews, I was a bit apprehensive but this was the cuisine that we were craving and a recent review mentioning that it was under new ownership convinced us to give it a try. Located in a strip mall, there were several other Asian cuisine options within the plaza. The space is quite large and there was only one other party present during a late lunch hour (2-3pm). We were greeted immediately, seated promptly, and provided time to review before ordering. We got the mattar paneer and the aloo gobi. The aloo gobi was creamy....very different than what we know which is usually a dry dish. Nonetheless, it was delicious and we enjoyed our meal! We also had left overs for dinner so portions were a good size. Will defintely be back when we visit the area again. Enjoyed the chicken chili and the steamed momos. The best in Frisco. Service is excellent. I recommend the Nepali beers as well. Very smooth and tasty. The Ambiance is so welcoming. This is seriously our favorite place to eat, amazing food and great staff and owner. We stop in every time we're in Summit County. Our go-to's are the butter chicken, chana masala, cheese naan, and mango lassi. The last time we went we tried the Paneer Chili and Tandoori Chicken. When you first come in the aroma of Indian spices fill your nose. There were hits and misses but overall it was ok. The samosas were served piping hot with a side of two sauces. It was perfectly spiced. The next side dish was a papadam. These crispy crackers were also served with the same sauces. It is tamarind and the other is green mint sauce. I really like these. The plain naan was crispy and fine. The saag paneer was ordered spicy. It was flavorful and just on the cusp of being too hot. I really liked it. It did not have too much paneer in it though which was kind of a letdown. It was served with rice that was good. It was also so oddly quiet. No house music or tv. Just silence. I was here a year ago with my girlfriend and loved this place. Came back again while I'm in Colorado for a ski trip with friends, and this place still hits every single time. The Mo:mo were perfect juicy, flavorful, and the butter chicken was unreal (rich, tender, and packed with spice). My wife and I ate at Himalayan Cuisine last night and it was great. As noted below, it is under new management and they have done an excellent job of bringing up the standards of food and service. We were happy to see that they were busy in the restaurant and for take out. We had the Saag Paneer, Lamb Biryani, Garlic Naan and an order of Papadum just to try it. All were excellent especially when washed down with a Tag (indian beer). To reflect its Nepalese heritage the food can be spicy if you ask for it which we did and it had the kick we love. The service was helpful and prompt and the owner Sujan (sp?) was very visible and engaging. We have been to Nepal and spend two weeks a year in India and know the difference. This is a great inexpensive and cheerful local Nepalese/Indian restaurant and we are glad we went and will be back. read more

A shout out to Himalayas, Nepal, and Indian restaurant in Frisco located in the Safeway shopping area. We had lunch yesterday and the food was amazing. They are under new ownership and the food and staff were wonderful. We had tried there years ago and the food was very inconsistent. We had the Nanan bread, tikka masala and vegetarian biryani all were excellent. Yes, it's under new management for the last eight months and they're doing a great job. Some creative approaches to traditional recipes, which were excellent.
