Chicken, romaine lettuce, rice, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, sesame seeds, parmesean cheese, and pita chips all tossed in their house dressing is an incredible combination. You also get warm pita bread with this yummy garlic spread on the side. Put all those ingredients in the pita bread, oh man, another level! Great spot to get some Middle Eastern/Mediterranean spit roast meats. Spit roasts rotate at the front, for all to see. We like the convenience of handheld wraps, To-go. They do have an indoor dining area with tables to eat there. Located in a strip center, it has a public parking lot. Service was fast & friendly. To-go order was ready in a reasonable amount of time. I ran into this restaurant because it was super close to the AMC Theatres and I had a quick break from the movie marathon. I was looking for some thing the opposite of what I could find at the movie theaters. I got their delicious Mashawi salad and it was So good! I loved all the different textures from soft to crunchy and a wide-range of flavors combined to make this amazing salad. I really appreciate it that it was like a chopped salad consistency with little pieces making it super easy to scoop in my mouth. (Note: I have been to the one in Redondo Beach before and so I somewhat knew what their offerings were). For dinner; I chose to get their Gyro and chicken combo for $18.50. It comes with two sides and I chose hummus and rice pilaf. Overall I was impressed with the good almost of food they gave. The Gyro and chicken were lean and flavorful. The Cook, the lady packaging the food and the young lady at the register were all trying their best to make everyone happy and some people were just being rude and inconsiderate. People who work in the food industry don't get paid enough for what they have to go through. The good: I got the ground beef beef kebab in a full size (2 kebabs rather than 1) with a side of yogurt cucumber and fries. I also tried the chicken shawarma with a side of baba ghanoush and cole slaw. We got a falafel as an appetizer. The interior was modern and clean. I liked how they had 3 different rice options. I got the yellow rice which was fragrant and moist without being mushy. The bad: It was $44 for two people which was more than other Mediterranean spots in the area. The falafel was hard from the fried outside and didn't taste as fresh as falafel I've had elsewhere. The garlic sauce was super dense and thick and lacked garlic flavor. The baba ghanoush was overly smokey tasting. It tasted like eating smoke alone with no other flavors. The interesting: You order at a counter but they'll bring the food to your table. My friend is a regular here and brought me here for lunch yesterday, and I can see why she comes here so much! You order up front, they give you a number, and they bring it to your table. The food came out fast. I got the half order of the Chicken Kebob plate, which comes with 1 skewer. It comes with your choice of 2 sides, pita & choice of rice. I got the jasmine rice, and for the sides, I got the garden salad and the spicy hummus. The garden salad has a vinaigrette dressing on it. It was super tasty! The chicken was really tender. I don't live in the South Bay anymore so it's been a while since I've been able to visit Mashawi Grill. Used to love coming to this one or the one on Inglewood Ave though! Was finally in the area so stopped in but wasn't as good as I remembered it. My favorite was the Mashawi salad. Expected the same dish to be more expensive than in the past but did not expect portion to be smaller too. I love the new remodel everything looks great! The food has kept its authentic touch. Their Lunch/Dinner Chicken kabab's are great very flavorful & you can't go wrong with their sides. That garlic paste they give you is absolutely my husband's favorite with the warm pita bread they give you. This time around I noticed there was only one trash can by the bathroom and not around the restaurant like they usually are to throw your stuff away was a bit odd. The bathrooms were clean and tidy as well. The staff here are really nice and attentive even when you make a phone order for pick up. My go to place when I want a salad. I love the Mashawi salad with chicken and crispy pita chips. Their lunch sized salad is always plenty enough for an extra meal. The warm pita bread and garlic sauce are a nice compliment. I've also had their chicken kebab and the chicken is always tender and juicy. You have a choice of one or two skewers that comes with a choice of rice and two sides. Their food is consistently delicious and I usually crave their salad every two or three weeks. I usually get the Mashawi salad and it's delicious, but it used to be even more delicious before they eliminated the radishes and cut back on the amount of cucumber and onions. Mashawi Grill has some of the better middle eastern food I've tried. I ordered the 2 skewer chicken kabob plate with the house salad and hummus, and my friend got the gyro plate. The chicken was delicious, succulent and still very juicy! The yellow rice was alright, you can choose between white, yellow, and brown. The hummus was also very savory and delicious! Finally, the house salad was decent, wish there was more lettuce in it. Overall this is a decent place for kabobs and such. I will definitely return sometime in the future. read more

Was on my way home after a run at Wilson park and got a craving for a gyro so I just pulled into this location. And just drove through the lot and see this hidden gem. I walked in smelled all the good foods and places my order. The cashier was very polite and helpful. Service with a smile need I say more. I ordered a gyro and a chicken shawarma place with 2 sides. French fries and rice pilaf. It only took like 10 to 15 minutes for my order to be ready. It was nice sitting outside waiting. The place is clean and well kept. I never knew this place was here. Ok do I got my order to go and my car had all the good smells. I got home I figured I'd start on the chicken and save the gyro wrap for later. The food tasted so good and fulfilled my craving. But my fave was the gyro wrap that I had later. That was the craving I was looking to fulfill and yes it did. Like they say, save the best for last. I'm satisfied and will return soon. The owner just hires anyone because the little girl I spoke to was so ghetto & full of attitude. She LACKED basic customer service skills couldn't even communicate nicely/effectively lol. I even asked to speak to the manager or owner and she instantly denied me said "oh sorry, nobody here that's the manager ." This place has the best chicken Shawarma that we've ever had and we've been to so many places. The staff is always so nice and helpful. When you walk in you order right away and pay and then go sit down and wait for your food.
