Wow! Pista House has been hiding from me. I'm so happy to have found it. Though I ordered delivery I can tell the dishes were made with love and their in person service would be just as great. I ordered their basic dishes but their flavors were far beyond that. The Garlic Naan were freshly made. The Tandoori Chicken arrived perfectly cooked, tender with the right amount char (though I did have to chop it up pieces myself). The curries, both Chicken Tikka Masala and Spiced Goat, were deliciously prepared and packed with all sorts of spices. What surprised me most was the Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biriyani. This is a must try from the menu. I didn't dine in at the restaurant, but from already posted pictures it looks like a comfortable and inviting place. I'm looking forward to trying more dishes from their menu. read more

Very disappointing customer service. I was told my order would be ready in 15-20 minutes, but I ended up waiting more then 45 minutes. To make matters worse, the cashier was rude and was yelling at customers, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere. They also didn't have mango lassi available, which was disappointing. The food tasted alright, but nothing special. Honestly, it would have been faster to go home and make the meal myself. Better customer service, respectful staff, more accurate wait times, and keeping menu items in stock would make a big difference. read more

Been eyeing this place for some months now and was finally able to try it. Expectations were MET! The three items we ordered were chicken 65 biryani, Gobi Manchurian (cauliflower), and masala fries. All were delicious but the stand out was definitely the biryani. It was packed with flavor and I'm looking forward to returning and trying another biryani. PRO TIP: Ask for some slices of lime to enhance the flavor of the biryani even more! I'm removing one star because they were super stingy with their limes. I ordered takeout from here and really enjoyed everything we tried. The Nizam Biryani with chicken had a rich, layered flavor, and the pepper chicken was just as delicious. Portions and pricing were quite good too. The interior is better than i expected with booth seating. The only downside has been the wait time. Each time I've ordered, pickup has been about 30 minutes or more later than the time listed on the website. There were others waiting for their to go orders so am guessing same thing happened to them. read more

This is close to my work so decided to try it out. I was surprised at how fresh the food is. It came out hot. I ordered the lunch special, there's two prices $13.99 or $14.99, I think I got the $14.99 because my total was $16. I got the tikka masala and the chicken curry, the garlic naan. My first bit of the curry I got leaves that weren't edible, threw me off. The spice in the curry was yummy. The Chicken masala was just ok. The naan was my favorite, warm and soft and great char. It came with a coke that was warm. The woman at the front was helpful but not approachable. I also feel like the lunch special has a hint of false advertising. The food is good but there is no truth in advertising of the cost. The advertised price for Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biryani is 15.99 and Ghonghura Chicken Biryani is 16.99. When I opted to pay by credit card the price went up by a dollar per item. On top of that they added a 3% surcharge for using a credit card. When we crave Indian, this is the spot for us, especially with their selection of biryanis. We've been trying different biryanis and curries and so far, all have been very good. Spice level is up there for some dishes so if you're not a fan, be sure to take a look at the menu and confirm! Garlic naan is great for dipping all the curries and even to pair with the biryanis. Chicken 65 and Bezawada Prawns are great as apps also. The only thing that's stopping us from making Pista House a part of our weekly rotation is that the food can take too long for it to get ready. First time there, got there 20min after ordering and it took another 15min. Second time went 30min after ordering and then it look another 30min. The restaurant actually had a crowd of people all waiting. Subsequent times it was more similar to the first but the unpredictability makes it hard for family dinner nights. read more

Delicious Indian food! I always like to be in the window of time where I can get lunch specials. I was just barely still in the window on the latter part of the afternoon for a to go order. This restaurant took over where Charro Chicken used to be. They also pride themselves in being an ISO certified restaurant. I once worked for a company that was ISO certified and that involves A LOT to achieve international standards. So kudos! The chicken tikka masala was delicious! Just ate a little as I had a yelp event in the evening. Lots for the hubby (and for me the next day). He was also impressed. I was not excited about the naan which was a bit chewy. I really do enjoy the food. But I just can not deal with the wait times any more. I phoned an order of 1 dish, 1 drink, and 1 dessert around noon and did not get it until 50 minutes later. I'm not in the food business but I don't think it should take more than 30 minutes to make a bowl of chickpeas. I don't know if they have a backlog of phone orders but even when it's not busy it still takes way longer than it should to prepare the food. I have done takeout twice and dined in once, and the food is excellent every time. I enjoyed the nizam chicken biryani, bezawada chicken biryani (holy cow even the medium is VERY spicy), and butter chicken masala curry. Everything is flavorful and delicious. Each portion feeds me for 2 meals. One star off because the food is consistently slow. Even just picking up one dish for myself, both times I had to wait 15-20 minutes beyond the projected pickup time, totalling 35-40 minutes. It was slow when I dined in as well. The quantity is great for the price you're paying, a single box of biryani can easily feed 2-3 people. Ordered pick up from Pista House for the first time! I ordered butter chicken with garlic naan which also came with rice. The butter chicken was so creamy and flavorful, chicken was perfectly cooked. Garlic naan was toasty and fragrant. Rice was fluffy and soaked up the butter chicken sauce so well. Service was quick and helpful. Interior appears to be simple and clean. Plenty of parking outside. Too many bone fragments in the Gongura Mutton ($19). NOT good! I could not enjoy even a single bite from the curry due to this. WTH! There was hardly any meat in the curry. Nothing but bones. Chicken Dum Biriyani was too dry. Price point was low ($16) but not worth it due to very small portions. Biriyani had a leg and a drumstick piece in it. Not much meat in either pieces. You know it's legit when most of the restaurant is full of Indian customers. Best Indian food I have had in a while. We had the butter chicken tikka, nizam biriyani and garlic naan. Butter chicken was tasty and creamy. So good to sop up with the naan. The naan was delicious!! I think they top it with ghee or butter but it was so good and tasted a bit sweet (not in a bad way but balanced way from the creaminess). Will try the chili naan next time. Nizam biriyani was BOMB. So many layers of flavor. Def more unique or authentic than most Indian spots. You could taste the cardamom, the spice was def there without me even asking it to be spicy, and it also had fresh bay leaves and pieces of cashew. A bit salty but not overpowering. Delicioussssss especially with the raita they give on the side. I mentioned I liked spicy and this is the biriyani they recommended so just note it is spicy. The food does take a bit of time to cook but patience is a virtue! Biriyani comes in a shallow bowl with a handle for easy sharing. The young lady working at the service counter was shoveling rice in boxes right at the counter with rice falling all over the place. It was good but wasn't as flavorful and spice filled like their other dishes. The gobi was big chunks of cauliflower breaded perfectly and in a nice tangy sauce.
