    Steamed Soup dumplings (pork)
    Emily C.

Cool spot! I've only ever had Pork XLB in Taiwan, so my expectations were pretty high. The flavor was solid and a good quantity for the price, but at least a a couple of the dumplings were so stuck to the dish that I couldn't get them off without the soup filling pouring out. No frills spot. I'd come back

The food is awesome everything was fresh hot and juicy. Best bao I've had since we moved out of the Seattle area. The service is amazing and they are pretty quick with the food.

The food was really quite good! My favorites were the yuzu chicken soup dumplings and the baby bok Choy. I've never had soup dumplings and it was so fun to slurp! I think I waited too long to eat a couple because they got stuck to the bottom of the pan and tore open but I think that was my bad. I wish I knew how they made the bok Choy because it was tender and flavorful without being overpowering. We also tried the vegan soup dumplings which were delicious but they didn't have that liquid inside the way the chicken was. This is definitely a place you go for a no nonsense meal. The service was meh. You seat yourself, use a QR code to order, and they bring out your food to you. I thought it was a little odd they suggest a minimum 18% tip when you order, prior to receiving any service (and the service was very minimal). They have a cute self-serve water station, some drink options, but no alcohol. I have a feeling the vibe depends on who is working because the music was fun but the service was lackluster. We didn't mind though - we had been driving all day and just wanted some hot dumplings!

i will be honest, i did not have high expectations for this place considering the fact that colorado does not have the best asian food scene but this place exceeded my expectations. located as a business under apartment complexes, it is small & unassuming at first. it is self seating, & you order on your phone which is nice. i think you only go to the front for to-go orders & takeout. food: satisfied my cravings during this trip!! we ordered the beef bowl, xlb, & custard buns! the beef bowl was delicious, the meat was rich in flavor & not too chewy. the sauce from the meat complimented the fluffy white rice under. xlb was hot & the broth inside was flavorful. went so well with the soy sauce & vinegar ratio. for dessert we got all custard buns! i believe the default sweet buns were 2 red bean + 2 custard but i am a custard girly.

They serve mainly Taiwanese food, I wouldn't say it's authentic but still taste good and the service was excellent. The cashier was friendly and helpful when we asked a few questions. It's very casual dining, with a few tables that are spacious and not too crowded in between. Overall, it was very clean inside. They are quite busy, when I was there. I saw a lot of take out orders in addition to the customers already eating. The prices are pretty decent and the portions are generous. There were also interesting new menu items on the blackboards near the register. I'd probably would have ordered them had I seen photos like their regular menu items. I already came back within the same week. I'd come back again!

The ambiance is casual - you order at the counter, but they bring the food and clean your table, and the servers are charming. Each table comes with soy sauce, black vinegar and chili oil for making your own dipping sauce. I recommend getting an appetizer because the dumplings regularly take 15 minutes to come out. We love the bao bbq pork buns. The seaweed salad is not like Japanese seaweed salad. It is more like chewy shoestrings, but I loved its weirdness and... it's kind of addictive. My 7 year old, however, did not enjoy the spicychili-vinegar sauce on the seaweed. She loved the edamame, which is cooked to steamed crunchy perfection and not salted. The pan fried pork dumplings always come out hot and flavorful. The soup dumplings are full of broth. It's hard not to leave stuffed. I need to go back to try everything else on the menu and I'm already looking forward to it!

I may want to name my child Mason, if that means he or she could make dumplings like this Mason! We tried three entree items: Steamed Soup Dumplings (8pc), Pan Fried Pork Dumplings (8pc), and the Pan Fried Chive Pockets (3pc), with the Pan Fried Pork Dumplings and Steamed Soup Dumplings being truly MAGICAL! The service was great and knowledgeable of the menu, while the atmosphere was very casual and clean! Plus, there's ample amount of hot chili oil on each table. Which if you're new to the dumpling life, is a must try! I cannot wait to have many more meals by a master of the dumpling game!

I'm so happy that Mason's has a Boulder location! I found out today they opened about 1 year ago. I discovered Mason's Aurora during the pandemic and have only had takeout. It's so much better eating dumplings warm inside the restaurant. We ordered steamed beef and pork belly buns, steamed crab and pork soup dumplings (XLB), and chive pockets with pork, egg, and glass noodle. The taste of the XLB was 10/10, but I agree with the other reviewers that the dumpling skin is a little thick. I also think the soup spoon were too small for the size of the dumpling. My ultimate favorite was the chive pockets with pork, egg, and glass noodle. This was sooo yummy! I'll definitely be back for these. Atmosphere - 3.5/5 stars. If I'm eating dumplings this price point, I would prefer a cozier interior. Also, there is only paid street parking. We had to park a block away. Overall, super good food with high quality ingredients. I will be back!

I Heard this is one of the best places to get soup dumplings so I came for lunch to try that, as well as pan friend dumplings and a pork belly bun. Flavor was good but the soup dumplings kept falling apart, which was disappointing They do not have a parking lot outside so we parked a few blocks away, which was not a big deal It is quick serve, order at the counter, which was perfect for us today

My daughter saw the sign as I was driving and we immediately pulled aside and parked. This is a hidden gem IMO. Had steamed soup dumplings, pan fried dumplings and a pork bun. This impromptu stop was 100% worth it. Everything was on point. We will be back!

Steamed Soup () dumpling. A bit disappointing.....

The difficulties with are in my previous reviews. Now much of the facility has been torn down and the ongoing construction of the space to be city staff offices and the bigger space to be affordable housing had become impractical to use or eat at the restaurant. The noise was deafening. In January they moved to a food court on the Hill. This is a lower level of a building with other tenants. There are about 6 food kitchens and each time I have been here this summer and fall, this is the busiest at lunch. Since the seating is communal there is always space and it is clean. The staff here have been really nice. If I'm preparing a meal at home or supplementing leftovers, I have stopped by to get a fave vegetable, baby bok choy, steamed and seasoned and at an affordable side dish price. Today my husband and I walked down for lunch and ordered the Tuesday special street crepes some of the owners have continued from the long gone first owners from Beijing. As with other succeeding owners, they too have continued to use lettuce rather than the bok choy in the crepe. It also has some ham, scallions and crispy wonton bits and a nice spread of hoisin. It is topped with a sprinkle of black sesame seeds that I love. Another difference from the original is that the ingredients of the crepe itself are not well mixed together so many large patches of separate egg white and yolk makes it harder to hold together and not as pretty. But it tastes just fine but original years ago was addicting. I will continue to come here try more of the food from the current owner. I love beef noodles and have 2 other places I can get a good version but this is the most walkable for me. They do very nice prep for takeout which is good too. At lunch it is busy with CU affiliated students, staff and faculty alike. Every item I have had at Flower Pepper is hand made and prepared for the customer.

Their original kitchen, Zoe Ma Ma is now a half block further west on Pearl. They cover much in the way of Asian specialties for West Pearl. At Dragonfly, they make their own noodles and they are very good. I had some last night in my pho and am looking forward to getting the Yuki Udon next time. My husband wanted a selection of Bao so chose the roasted duck, the pork belly and the Dragonfly. He really liked them all. I love duck Bao so I had one too. Because it was chilly out I got the smoked brisket Pho too and had to bring some home since it was a lot to eat on top of the Bao. I lived the fresh basil leaves and the crunchy crisp bean sprouts. I opted out of the spicy peppers an onion as I find them harsh everywhere. I totally forgot to add a few other options as I live bok choy too. You can get a full menu of options online to order at your table by phone but we prefer and they offer a full sized menu at the counter. Note, that a nominal tip is included which is thoughtful and fair to customers and workers alike. They share duties but noted the owner who makes the noodles in the adjacent space was leaving as we were eating. You can see some of the equipment through the glass partition. They were out of oolong tea and I was hoping for some on a chilly day so I hope it is there next time as a long winter ahead of us. My husband had the iced Thai tea with his Bao. That tea is too sweet for me with condensed milk in it. We will definitely be back later. If I have pho again or my husband has it with rare steak as he plans , I hope the broth will be hotter to cook it some. If we could rate with half stars I'd go 4.5 though it was not quite perfect enough for a 5. But we will be back and pretty soon.

I was choosing between Shrimp with Vegetables on the Chinese menu and a Vietnamese Noodle Bowl with Chicken and Eggroll. I went with the Vietnamese Bowl. My friend got the same only with shrimp. Both were delicious! There is a mild spice on the grilled chicken and it seemed like it might be the same one on the shrimp. I tasted hers. Delectable. And both were tender. The eggroll was nice and crunchy. The noodles were good. I would have liked more vegetables, and we both asked for more sauce. Not sure why they don't give more to start with.
