    Shrimp shu-mai
    Gary B.

It was good in an upscale atmosphere. The food is from the menu rather than driveby cart ordering places. The best of show was the shrimp tempura and the Szechuan fried chicken. The chicken was the best value for price/performance. Tried 4 items and all were good. The service was good but writing your order on a menu card and sticking it on the tablefront is odd but works. Portions are sometimes larger than typical dim-sum places in small tins.

Food was average, but very decent price for the amount you got. They had a great lunch special that allowed you to choose 2-4 options per category for a reasonable price. I got the soup dumplings, edamame, egg drop soup, stir fried udon, and the signature bao. My favorites from this order were the baos and the soup dumplings. The edamame had little flavor, egg drop soup also needed more seasoning, and the udon needed more sauce but it was plentiful and filled me up. I had a lot of leftovers to take home. The service was good. The restaurant staff was extremely accommodating to our large group. I liked how they had us write on the menu to order and food came out extremely fast. However it got a bit chaotic when bringing out all of our food (to be fair we were a large group of 11) Restaurant itself was decorated beautifully and I had a great time. I would come back again for the lunch special and recommend people to do the same.

We joined the wait list. We still had to wait awhile to be seated. Restaurant was busy. People compare it to Din Tai Fung and DTF is superior. Best items we ate: stir fried green beans, truffle soup baos, shrimp & pork dumplings. Skip: chicken & corn dumplings. $12 lychee dynasty $7 Melvin honey wheat ale $17.95 jumbo crab rangoons - Expensive for what it is. $17.95 stir fried green beans - very good $14.95 hot & sour dumpling soup - very good $11.95 xiao long bao - worth getting if you like XLB or never tried them before $21.95 truffle soup bao - good if you like truffle flavor and don't mind the price $8.95 bbq bun (cha siu bao - Cantonese barbecue pork buns) - skip $14.95 shrimp & pork dumplings - good $12.95 chicken & corn dumplings - skip This was too much food for 4 adults.

We went opening week and despite the fact they were incredibly busy, the service was excellent. We tried many things; my favorites were the dumpling roulette, which gives you a taste of all of the dumplings, the firecrackers, which are kind of a cross between dumplings and jalepeno poppers, and the shumai. We also sampled several soups and the truffle mushrooms; also delicious. I love the decor in this place and the variety in the menu. We'll be back more often to try everything. It's so nice to have more variety here in Longmont! I recommended this restaurant to two friends who came the next day and they loved it too, so...if you're a fan of dim sum, it's worth checking out!

We checked out this new addition to Longmont recently and loved our meal. We got several dishes: the spicy chicken soup dumplings, veggie egg roll, shao mai, vegetable dumplings, bbq bao buns and spicy cabbage buns. Everything arrived in small waves as it was done being cooked. The flavors were great. They have some table side sauces you can use to make your own dipping sauce but the flavors are so great you don't really need much of it to enjoy the meal. The dipping sauce that comes with the rolls was truly delicious. The atmosphere is lively and fun, so many beautiful details and the service was friendly and attentive. We look forward to returning here thru the years to come.

I was very impressed with this place! Not the most authentic Chinese food but everything we had was absolutely delicious! My favorite was the chicken and corn pan fried dumplings and of course the green beans are always a go to. We had a wonderful server and things came out quickly after we ordered them. I would recommend making a reservation bc it seems this place gets pretty busy.

    Special Lunch Menu

I originally had one of the classic Signature Bao dishes at a Yelp event, and they were delicious. So, I was really happy when Nana's opened a restaurant in Longmont. I was so impressed with the gorgeous interior design of this restaurant! There was a huge dragon hanging from the ceiling plus baskets and masks on the walls. It looked upscale and colorful. The kitchen was set up so you could watch the employees making the food. The booth was really comfortable. I went for lunch and there was a special lunch menu. You pay between $15-25 based on whether you order 2, 3 or 4 items from this special menu. A word to the wise - If you're getting 2 items it's best to order the soup from the Noodles & Rice section rather than the Appetizer section. My friends Beef Noodle Soup was a lot larger than my Egg Drop Soup. I also ordered the Chicken & Corn Dumplings and it didn't feel like enough food. I will order 3 items next time or avoid the appetizer section. The food was delicious. I appreciated that the soup wasn't salty. The employees were all friendly and the service was prompt. I do wish this restaurant was 100% MSG free. My husband has a very bad reaction to MSG, so I won't be able to return here with my husband. That is a bummer. There's a lot of free parking in the lot in front of the restaurant.

Well appointed bar with Jenny flying around in the back.

Service is great and the food is so yummy. Beautiful bar with a great view. Go and see Jenny at the bar she is amazing and knows her stuff. Steamed and fried, soups and desserts. Handicap access in the front. Shhhhh don't tell anyone because this place will get busy!

Food: There was a lot of options, too many to choose from! Everything we had though was delicious. The cucumber salad was so refreshing, with it being flavorful and a little spicy from the chili oil. The soup dumplings were good, nice broth. I really enjoyed the pork and shrimp Shao Mai, the filling was delicious and the wrapping was soft and flavorful. I liked the crab rangoons and the extra crab they added on the side. The creamy walnut dessert buns were amazing!! They weren't overly sweet and were just satisfying to eat. Service: They had a good system worked out here! We just marked what we wanted on the menu with a dry erase marker, and then as everything was brought out the servers would put an x on it. Everything came out as it was ready, so not everything was given to us at the same time which I enjoyed. The waiter was nice and helped us figure out a few things! Atmosphere: From the outside, this building looks small, but when you enter it somehow looks a lot larger. It feels spacious inside with still plenty of seating. Overall: Delicious, haven't really had a good dim sum place here in Colorado, but now there is one. Would come back here happily and I can't wait to enjoy another meal here!

    Rose wine

Nana's Dim Sum & Dumplings is enthusiastically welcome in Longmont. We arrived at 6 pm on a Friday evening following Christmas and were told the wait was an hour. However, we were able to be immediately seated at the bar. I reviewed the limited wine menu and ordered a rose wine. The bartender, a darling young woman, offered me a rose on tap. I took one sip and said is this wine or beer? And she said both. Hmmm I asked for the rose wine I had originally ordered. We ordered by marking our wax crayon on the menu and food was delivered very promptly. I asked if the braised chili beef was braised tender and was assured it was. However, it was not tender. It tastes good, very spicy. We really enjoyed the salt and pepper shrimp! All foods were served hot from the kitchen, which we greatly appreciate. We had tried to make a reservation, however could not reserve parties smaller than 6. There is ample parking in the strip mall lot, which includes Lowe's and Nordstrom Rack. I'm sure we will be regulars! The decor is spare, including steamer baskets along the wall.

My sweet and sour chicken was delicious, generous portions, lightly breaded, flavorful with thick sweet and sour sauce. The waitress who took us to our table did so with a very bad attitude. She placed the menus on a table located in the middle of the restaurant. Since I was with my one-year-old baby, I thought it would be better to sit at a table at the end of the restaurant so we wouldn't inconvenience people walking by or trying to leave. I politely and respectfully asked if we could move to the empty table at the end. She did not respond to me. Instead, she threw the menus on the table, turned around, and walked away while complaining to other waitresses and giving uncomfortable looks. Of course, I stood up with my family and went to speak to another waitress. I apologized and told her we were going to leave because the situation felt very uncomfortable. I explained why I had asked for the other table, and she responded, "Do you want the table or not?"
