I brought my truck to R & F Auto on August 26th because it had a history of not starting at times…read moreor a hesitation to turn over. It definitely had a problem. My truck sat in his parking lot for nearly 3 weeks before Ronnie, my 3rd mechanic, even looked at it. So I had to rent a car for 13 days, which was very costly and I also had to borrow a friend's car. Well, on September 15th, nearly 3 weeks later, Ronnie told me that he couldn't find anything wrong with my truck, except he had to spray something that was rusted on the wiring. He also said it started up every time for him. My truck always hesitated to start. I'm glad he didn't charge me for whatever he did to it. But he said he would be curious to know what was wrong with it if I continued to have problems starting it, which was still an issue. Well, I brought my truck to a 4th mechanic who fixed it in 2 days! It was both camshaft sensors A & B, which my 2nd mechanic said wasn't the problem after he only replaced one of them, but later reinstalled the old one when he realized that wasn't the problem. It ended up being both camshaft sesors that was the problem. I also had the wrong starter installed by my first mechanic back in April. It had a lower voltage than what should have been in there. My truck starts up great now. No hesitation whatsoever. It's too bad it took my 4th mechanic to figure it out. I even went back to my "new" mechanic a week later, and he replaced the front brakes, rotors, pads, calipers & 1 brake line the day after I dropped it off.. I'll be going to him for now on.

My check engine light came on during an out of state travel right before the 4th of July weekend…read more I stopped at an Auto Zone that gave me a print out of the two possible codes that came up: a low voltage battery and a faulty oxygen sensor, but the technician stated that they dont change oxygen sensors there due to a liability issue. I called several mechanics in the area and they were all booked up until after the holiday weekend and I wanted go get this fixed ASAP. I then googled further and came across L'Europa Auto Repair, the name seemed very appealing to me because I'm European myself :) I called and spoke to a lovely Christy who was very informative and knowledgeable on the phone and she was able to fit me in an hour later. Upon my arrival to L'Europa I was greeted by a cheerful and friendly Christy herself, along with Little and Bruno, her adorable 2 pups which made my day! I immediately knew I was in good hands when Christy and I conversed about my car issues and she definitely knew her stuff, explaining all the possibilities of what could be wrong with my vehicle, this is coming from a girl that knows about cars :) 20 minutes later she approached me with a smile and stated that I was good to go. She advised me that due to my battery recently dying the car computer wasnt properly reset after the jump start and it was throwing numerous codes that the mechanic cleared. I did not need a new battery or an oxygen sensor, after all! She was very honest and upfront about everything - had I gone elsewhere, I'm sure the outcome would have been much different and I would have to spend money on an unnecessary repair. I was so impressed and touched by L'Europa honest work ethic, that I wish I lived closer as this would be my go to mechanic, going forward. I would highly recommend L'Europa Auto Repair to anyone that wants to deal with a professional, trustworthy and knowledgeable repair shop!! Thank you guys!!

We paid him 3200 up front and it was excuse and story and lies. He was supposed to refund the rental and stiffed us on that to. I lost my job bc I didn't have a car. Came close to getting evicted because I wasn't working bc I didn't have my car. I have never met a more pathological thief in my entire life. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR THERE! we are going to the BBB, the automotive commission and doing a civil suit to shut him down so he can't ruin any more lives. I beg and pray you don't take your car there. I brought my 1990 ford f150 pickup truck in for a transmission leak that was fixed in about 3 weeks…read morehowever he informed me that the transmission was not shifting which I found to be very odd because the truck shifted the last time it was driven. After one month he determined it was the computer board and said he needed the money up front to pay for the board, which I did but after the first one not working, he ordered another one which also did not work. Now he tells me that the transmission had to be changed, he said he needed $3000 for a new one and when my wife delivered the money, she asked him if that was out the door, which means no other coasts installed and the truck running. The new transmission was installed by the third month, when asked what else he had to do he replied just had to install the drive shaft (maybe 2 0r 3 hours) and install the shift cables and that I should be driving it by next week. June July and august go by with me calling every week and sometimes twice a week I was getting the same excuse I will be driving it next. week This truck I bought for my granddaughter who needed transportation to her high school internship but because the truck was and still is not ready, she was forced to empty her savings account to buy just any form of transportation. The Friday before thanksgiving i went to the shop to see for myself what was left to be done, this is where I found the truck still up on the lift where it was from day one the drive shaft leaning against the wall collecting dust was my drive shaft untouched. again, I asked him this time in person when it would be done, he assured me that I would be driving it next week, I revisited him two weeks after thanksgiving and everything was exactly the same. Now we are into January still calling every week he now informs me that he has to send the drive shaft out to be lengthen because the ne transmission was shorter than the original one he got that back in a week but not installed. The next week in informed me that the drive shaft had to be resent out to be lengthen it seem the piece he put in was measured wrong and now had to shorten. I asked him would was doing the measuring was it Ray Charles. He said no it was him. I have no confidence that this drive shaft will hold up. By this time, we are now into February one year later and still no truck. after reading the reviews not only is he taken advantage of the elderly and disabled veterans but people of all ages. For the life of me I don't understand how someone in this business can tie up their lift for 14 months that's right 14 months and still no truck it can't be the money because I paid for everything up front in full. he says that he is going to get it done but when asked when no answer I said to him I hope I get it back why i am still able to drive. From most of the reviews I've read this is his SOP hold the vehicle hostage and then wants to charge you more money or replace parts with lesser quality products. I have not had a chance to examine my truck to see if anything else is broken or missing or changed out. he doesn't even desire one star
